The 56-year-old has been recognised alongside her Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman in the King's Birthday Honours for her services to broadcasting.

'All the hard work and huge effort you put into everything you do has been recognised by the King.
'Being on Strictly from the start when our babies weren't even born just proves how well you've done. Now they're almost 21 and 16 and we've all enjoyed this journey together!!
'Also, bravo everyone at @bbcstrictly and @claudiawinkle for consistently producing the best show every year!! Time to pop a cork me thinks…'
Daly began working as a model and first appeared on screens in 1999 when she hosted The Big Breakfast's Find Me A Model competition on Channel 4.
She reached new levels of fame as co-host of the BBC One Saturday night dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing, which she presented alongside the late Sir Bruce Forsyth until 2014, three years before his death at the age of 89.
Traitors presenter Winkleman joined Daly as Strictly co-host, with the pair picking up the best entertainment award at the 2024 Bafta TV ceremony.
On being made MBE, Daly told the PA News Agency: 'I cried when I opened the letter, because I just I couldn't believe it.
'It feels like the most wonderful honour, because when you work as a broadcaster, you're part of people's viewing habits.
'Broadcasting is without a doubt a collective effort. I've been really fortunate to work with some of the very best production teams that there are in the business. And so my biggest thanks is to them, because you're only as good as your team.'
The broadcaster also presented the ITV makeover show, Home On Their Own in 2003, replacing Ulrika Jonsson, and in 2011 fronted the BBC Two documentary TV Greats: Our Favourites From The North where she took a look at Manchester's broadcasting past as BBC North bid farewell to its studios in the city to move to Salford.
Across her career she has interviewed stars including Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, rock band No Doubt and US musician Lenny Kravitz.

Made In Chelsea's Jessica Woodley is expecting her first baby with partner, Mark Logan, after claiming she was still battling 'trauma' from her stint on reality TV Made In Chelsea star, Jessica Woodley, is expecting her first baby with her partner, Mark Logan. The reality star, 30, broke the happy news on Instagram, telling fans that it was an honour" to become a mother in an adorable post. Taking to Instagram, Jessica, who shot to fame on the Channel 4 show in 2015 before she left in 2017 after having a relationship with co-star Jamie Laing, shared a snap of her blossoming baby bump. Captioning the photo, which was taken in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland on a recent holiday, she wrote: "Motherhood, Thankyou for choosing me my sweet child. It is an honour to grow you. You are SO LOVED. You are my Guru now. Your daddy and I are waiting with open arms, Thankyou for blessing us with your grace." Jessica's baby news comes after she admitted she was still dealing with the 'trauma' of appearing on reality TV, which made her famous. In 2020, she branded her experience 'dangerous', adding that she regretted her decision to take part in MIC as she called for people to "cancel reality TV". She wrote: "A little personal note to anyone on here who may be following me from when I was on a reality TV show. I just want to express how dangerous the nature of mainstream reality TV is... "The effects it can have on a human being, to me, it felt like I made a decision at a very young age, resulting in what feels like identity theft. "Finding my way home has and is taking longer than I expected. I never imagined the repercussions of this choice of mine, but here I am faced with a dilemma and to me a trauma. "We all made mistakes in life this feels like mine if you are following me for the wrong reasons and support reality TV please unfollow me. "We need to come together and cancel reality TV. I really really encourage you to erase watching/ supporting these programmes." Announcing her decision to quit the show eight years ago, Jess said: "I'm not filming for it [the new season]. It's been fantastic and has given me the platform I've always wanted, but now I'm focusing on my fashion brand. "The door's always open, but I'm taking this time to focus on myself." Jess was one of MIC's main characters between 2015 and 2017, which saw her sandwiched in a love triangle with show lothario Alex Mytton and his then-girlfriend Nicola Hughes. The mum-to-be's former co-star, The Hills cast member Stephanie Pratt, later expanded on Jess' decision to quit the show, saying: "I think Made In Chelsea didn't make Jess happy. "She was definitely the type of person that had rage and regret, so it was harder when it [the show] would come out months later. She just wasn't happy on the show."

The 57-year-old presenter announced he would be taking a break from the Sunday food and talk show, which he has starred on since 2012. Long-time co-host Simon Rimmer will instead be joined by a fresh-faced TV star who is already being praised for bringing some 'feminine energy'. Reality TV icon, radio presenter and beloved Geordie Shore legend, Vicky Pattison, is taking on the job. She rocked a slicked-back ponytail and a yellow button-up dress for her first day as official co-host, beaming as she stepped up to the challenge. After dancing during the intro, Vicky, 37, declared she was so excited to be hosting, she was 'buzzing like an old fridge'. 'I HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS!!!!' wrote Vicky on Instagram when she announced the news, days before her debut. She continued: 'As a long time friend of @sundaybrunchc4 it is an absolute HONOUR to be wearing a slightly different hat this week! I will be joining my good pal @rimmersimon as his cohost while the lovely @timlovejoy_official has a very well deserved break!!! 🩷😍 'I am buzzing like an old fridge to chat to all of our gorgeous guests, eat some delicious food and hopefully give anyone watching and nursing a hangover a bit of light comedy reprieve 😂 'See you bright and early Sunday my loves… and wish me luck 💜🥹.' Along with the message, Vicky shared snaps of herself on the Channel 4 show over the years plus some backstage memories. Her news was met with overwhelming positivity from fans and famous friends, as Chloe Burrows commented applause and heart emojis. 'Absolutely brilliant Vicky well done!!!! 👏❤️🙌,' wrote Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson. Steph McGovern added: 'Congratulations! You're gonna have a right laugh with our Rimmer! 😍😍.' TashaConnor shared: 'Haters going to hate but I am loving @VickyPattison on Sunday Brunch! Such a breath of fresh wine!' More Trending Sullivan11 said: 'It's great to see @VickyPattison hosting the show today, she's amazing, hopefully she'll be on again.' There were some who weren't so pleased, with some asking if she was 'drunk' after a glass of wine and complaining they 'can't understand' her accent. Many complaints came from those upset that Rosie Jones was also on the show, which the comedian has regularly responded to. Last year, when she was announced for Taskmaster, Rosie's not-so-subtle reply was simply to stick up her middle finger to the haters. Got a story? Matt Baker opens up on being 'apart' from wife as he issues family update
Countryfile's Matt Baker and his wife Nicola have been together for over two decades and have recently seen their careers go in different directions 'Countryfile' favourite Matt Baker and his wife Nicola have opened up about spending time apart as she embarks on an exciting new chapter away from their farm, chasing after a career in writing. In recent years, the couple have captured viewers' hearts on their hit Channel 4 series, Our Farm in The Dales, where the ex-Blue Peter presenter and his wife can be seen managing a sheep farm in the picturesque Durham hillside, close to where Matt was raised. Although Nicola's career has primarily revolved around her physiotherapy work and bringing up their two kids, she's also indulged in penning stories over the years. What was once just a pastime has blossomed into a full-fledged career, with Nicola now boasting three children's novels to her name and even more in the pipeline. With Matt juggling his own telly commitments, the two recently discussed their individual ventures during their chat on Lorraine's couch. Lorraine probed: "You go off doing your own thing writing the books, and you go off doing your own things around Britain, so there are times where you are apart. But don't you think sometimes that works?" Matt shared his take on their newfound independence, expressing: "We're such doers in our lives, and we're so supportive of what each other wants to do, we've just found our way through." Amid their busy schedules, Nicola revealed that their limited time together has become even more precious: "We make the most of the time that we have together and prioritise that — and make the most of that." The lovebirds met by happy accident when Matt was a performer at a disco in Cleethorpes, culminating in a beautiful wedding over two decades ago. Now parents to Molly and Luke, they've witnessed their bond only grow stronger with time. In her literary endeavours, Nicola released her first children's book, A Whistledown Farm Adventure: Finding Hope, in February last year and has since seen two more of her novels — Rescuing Ruby and Meeting Meg — appear on shelves, with another title anticipated later this year. While Nicola gives us a peek into her world with Matt, he himself is gearing up for a return to the telly later today, joining forces with Sammi Kinghorn to explore East Devon on the latest instalment of Countryfile. Additionally, fans of the bucolic show can look forward to Adam Henson's comeback, as he cares for the newborn livestock on his farm in the Cotswolds. Be sure not to miss Countryfile, which airs this afternoon (Sunday, June 22) on BBC One at 5.25pm.
