Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Jeremy Allen White versus Bruce Springsteen Comparisons Are In
Hot on the heels of the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, starring Timothée Chalamet, first look images of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere have arrived. Naturally, they have sent Springsteen fans and the internet into overdrive and have prompted endless comparisons between White and the real 'Born in the USA' singer.
The biopic is based on Warren Zanes' book and follows Bruce Springsteen's journey crafting his 1982 album Nebraska, including his hit single 'Born in the USA' with the E Street Band. It joins the likes of Back to Black, A Complete Unknown and the upcoming Britney Spears film in a competitive era of music biopics.
While Deliver Me From Nowhere doesn't come out until 24 October, the first official trailer is here and fans already have a lot to say about it. So, what do people think so far? Does White look like Springsteen? And will it pick up as many nominations as A Complete Unknown did next awards season? We'll have to wait to find out.
White is a modest 5 ft 7 in height, while Springsteen is three inches taller at 5 ft 10.
Yes, White sings and plays the harmonica throughout the film. To play the iconic singer, White reportedly studied hundreds of archive videos to perfect Springsteen's signature New Jersey rasp.
'It's really great to go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find him at all these different periods in his life and be able to listen to his speaking voice as well as his singing voice. It's been really fun preparing,' the actor told GQ last year.
He has received Springsteen's seal of approval with the singer becoming a regular visitor on set. Springsteen has even praised White's performance, calling him 'a terrific actor' who sings 'very well'. Adding, 'He's got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognise and he's just done a great job, so I've had a lot of fun.'
Jeremy, who has won three Emmy awards for his lead performance in The Bear , is seen playing harmonica and singing Nebraska's title track, as well as Springsteen's breakthrough hit 'Born To Run', in the trailer.
As for how the two stars visually compare, the internet is divided. One X user asked, 'So they didn't even try to make him look like Bruce?' Another joked, 'Wow! That's amazing. He looks just like Jeremy Allen White.' However, others were more optimistic. 'This casting lowkey makes so much sense,' reads one post. Another simply wrote, 'He's perfect.' White certainly has the right frame and hairstyle, but it looks like the rest might be down to the costume cupboard.

Formed in 1992, vocalist Jay Kay, 55, fronts the acid jazz and funk band. Jay arrived wearing a black hat with purple trim, purple trousers and white fringe jacket. One fan wrote online: "She brought out Jamiroquai! She did that for me." Another shared: "Just saw Dua Lipa bring Jamiroquai out at Wembley. Some month and I haven't even got to glasto yet." It comes as Dua has emulated her idol Madonna by playing the iconic venue aged just 29. Dua's first UK gig was at a 375-people capacity venue in Hackney nine years ago. She is the same age as Madonna was when she headlined Wembley in 1987 as part of her Who's That Girl Tour. Just five other women — Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adele and Pink — have headlined the venue. Only Swift and Rihanna were younger than Dua, both performing there aged 28. 'Shaken' Dua Lipa in terrifying security scare after fans sneak into her hotel and are found outside her bedroom An insider told The Sun: 'Playing Wembley is a dream come true for Dua and to sell out both nights feels incredible. She's not even at the peak yet and has so much more she wants to achieve. 'To be headlining stadiums with just three albums under her belt proves how influential her music has been. Her world tour has been a huge success. She's on cloud nine.' Elsewhere, Lidl has recreated Dua Lipa's viral pickle and jalapeño juice Cola drink. The superstar previously divided fans after sharing her unusual recipe on TikTok. At the time, celebrities like Gordon Ramsay and Prue Leith even tried the concoction for themselves. In a post that received over 11.5K views Gordon mixed Dua Lipa's recommended spicy ingredients in with his Diet Coke, and took a large sip - only to end up spitting it out in disgust. "Dua Lipa, for God's sake, girl!" he shouted while coughing. Dua Lipa's love life: A history Who has Dua Lipa dated in the past? Isaac Carew Dua dated the British model and chef twice. The started dating in 2015 before splitting up two years later due to scheduling issues. They rekindled their romance in 2018 before splitting for good a year later. Paul Klein After she broke up from Isaac in 2017, she embarked on a new relationship that same year with the musician. They broke up after just five months of dating in 2018. Anwar Hadid One of her most high-profile relationships was with Anwar Hadid, brother of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid. Although they quarantined together during the COVID-19 Pandemic they called it quits in 2021 as Dua wanted to focus on being single Jack Harlow In December 2022, it was claimed that both of the music pairing were 'hanging out' together. Although after a few months it seemed that the relationship fizzled out. Romain Gavras The French director was first linked to Dua back in 2023 when they were seen in London leaving the BAFTA Awards afterparty together in February. They later walked the red carpet together at the Cannes Film Festival in May. They were later pictured together over the summer that year in July and August as they celebrated his birthday. She has since deleted mentions of him off of her Instagram. Callum Turner In January 2024, Callum celebrated the release of his Apple TV+ series, Masters of Air. The pair were spotted together at the afterparty of the premiere in Los Angeles. They were then spotted getting close on a number of dates. Insiders since revealed that the duo have travelled together and have met each other's families. The pair then became more public with their relationship before rumours circulated of an engagement over the festive period. The singer appeared to confirm the news on social media, posting a photo with her huge ring in plain sight. "You'll ruin your vocal cords, s***," the restaurateur warned to the singer before ending the video. Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on ITV, Prue's verdict was: "The drink was 'far too sweet'". Continuing, the Bake Off judge added she "liked the jalapenos", but thought it could be improved with "a little bit of vinegar" to balance flavourss. Luke Humphries has say on ‘fartgate' in message to rival James Wade after Players Championship darts win
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JAMES WADE has proved that flatulent glee gets you everywhere - after the jubilant 'Fartgate' flinger won the support of Luke Humphries. The Machine shrugged off controversy over his loud and less than proud intervention against Peter Wright by winning Players Championship 19. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 James Wade roared back to win PC19 after a pong row at PC17 Credit: Getty 2 Luke Humphries was quick off the mark with a cheeky repl. Credit: Getty Wade trumped Scott Williams in the final to move back up to World No. 8. The English oche ace was so overjoyed to be on-song after his pong that he posted a message on X. And he got a surprise reply from Cool Hand, offering him congratulations - albeit with a mischievous twist... Wade, 42, wrote: "Good Morning everyone. Wow!! I'm over the moon you can't believe. READ MORE ON JAMES WADE STAR'S BATTLE Darts star, 42, feared he'd never play again after serious health scare "I played well in all games this week and last night was the high I've been aiming for!! Celebrations all round. "As always, thank you to all my supporters and the kind comments. "Thank you to my sponsors and management team!" World No.1 Humphries quickly pinged the pong-row flinger a cheeky response. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK The 2024 Ally Pally king said: "Great farts mate!! I mean 'Darts'." However, fans managed to be even less subtle than Humphries with their rip-ostes. James Wade names two darts stars who should NOT have been invited into Premier League darts One wrote: "You have blown all your opponents away, the smell of success is strong when your on stage." Another mused: "Must be great to let off a bit if steam, although Peter Wright might not agree." The farting furore exploded live on TV during Players Championship 17 when Wade let rip during a 6-5 victory over Wright. Snakebite might be better suited to dealing with stings than stinks - but he initially laughed it off. Referee Owen Binks reminded them "this is a streamed match, guys". Wade then suggested his Scottish opponent 'Give it a second' before he returned to the oche. But Snakebite appeared to believe that time period was a clear under-estimate. Wade went on to not just nick that match but get better as the week wore on - at darts, that is - peaking with the PC19 crown. Yet incredibly it's the second time the Surrey star has been caught in a storm of his own brewing. That blast from the past was at the Players Championship last September when he blamed the noise on velcro from his new trainers.
