Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney Reveals Season 3 Is Even More Unhinged
Emmy-nominated star Sydney Sweeney opened up about what fans can expect from her return as Cassie in the highly anticipated Season 3. Production on the latest installment of the hit HBO drama is still underway.
During a recent interview, Sweeney promised that Euphoria Season 3 will be crazier than previous installments, teasing another chaotic season for her character. In the Season 2 finale, Cassie was dumped by Jacob Elordi's Nate, after her sister Lexi made them characters in her play.
'I have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear. She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes,' Sweeney shared. 'She's flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love, as well. It's so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is. Sam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I'll read something, then I'll call him, and I'm like, 'Let's go crazier.' And he's like, 'I'm all in.' And this season is unhinged.'
Euphoria is created and written by Levinson, who is also executive producing with Zendaya and Drake. It is based on an Israeli miniseries of the same name. The series follows a group of high school students as they struggle to move through the worlds of drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. Season 3 will feature the return of Zendaya as Rue, Hunter Schafer as Jules, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Dominic Fike as Elliot, Eric Dane as Cal, Colman Domingo as Ali, Martha Kelly as Laurie, and Chloe Cherry as Faye.
The next installment is expected to open with a major time jump, which brings the main characters out of the show's original high school setting. The coming-of-age drama is slated to make its return sometime in 2026. Season 3 will also include new cast members Sharon Stone, Rosalia, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.

Diddy's Ex-Assistant Brendan Paul Says 'Jane' Didn't Seem Hesitant to 'Freak Off'
Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex-assistant Brendan Paul says he didn't see any force or coercion from his former boss when it came to "freak-offs" with "Jane" ... and he says he was absolutely not a drug mule. Brendan, a former Syracuse University basketball player and aspiring music producer, took the stand Friday in Diddy's criminal trial in NYC and told jurors about his 18 months working as an assistant to the music mogul. During cross-examination from Diddy's defense attorney Brian Steel, Brendan testified he would often talk to Diddy's former girlfriend "Jane" before and after freak-offs ... and he said she did not come across as hesitant or apprehensive, and he says there was nothing from her indicating she was not a willing participant. The feds say Diddy was forcing and coercing Jane -- who testified under a pseudonym to protect her identity -- and Cassie into participating in freak-offs -- drug- and alcohol-fueled sex marathons with male sex workers -- but Diddy's defense says the encounters were consensual ... and Paul, who was called as a witness by prosecutors, appears to be backing that up. He said he wouldn't work for someone he thought was a criminal. It's worth noting ... on redirect, prosecutors asked Paul if he was in the room for the freak-offs -- and he said "No." Brendan also testified about being arrested with cocaine in his bag in March 2024 at the Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport when he was trying to board a plane with Diddy ... in the wake of federal raids on Diddy's homes in Los Angeles and Star Island, Miami. Paul told jurors the cocaine was Diddy's, but he forgot it was in his bag and said he didn't tell police the drugs were Diddy's because he wanted to be loyal to his boss. He says he came across the cocaine while "sweeping" Diddy's room and stuffed it in his bag. While Paul also testified about buying all kinds of drugs for Diddy's personal use and rolling up joints in Diddy's garage ... he says he was not a drug mule, as has been alleged in lawsuits against Diddy, and getting drugs for Diddy was only a minor part of his job duties. Diddy wore a gray sweater and black pants as he watched and listened to Paul's testimony ... and Paul told the juror he hadn't seen or spoken to Diddy since the drug bust, and characterized their relationship as "complicated." Brendan's attorney, Brian Bieber, told TMZ after his client got off the stand, "Brendan's testimony was crystal clear – he never was a 'drug mule' for Diddy or anyone else. He was subpoenaed to come to court and tell the truth, which he did - word for word."

Harry Potter's sire, J.K, Rowling, has shared her early take on the TV series being conjured by HBO. It was first announced in April 2023 that Max had ordered a TV series based on the popular Harry Potter novels, with author Rowling attached as an executive producer. J.K. Rowling Raves About HBO's ‘Harry Potter' Series After Working ‘Closely' With the Writers: ‘I've Read the First Two Episodes. They Are So, So Good'
With HBO's 'Harry Potter' series nearing a production start date, J.K. Rowling has taken to X to give the series her full-blown support. She confirmed that she's 'worked closely with the extremely talented writers' on the show, although she will not be getting any writing credits herself like she has on the 'Fantastic Beasts' movies. Network CEO Casey Bloys previously told reporters that Rowling was 'very, very involved in the process' of selecting showrunner Francesca Gardiner and director Mark Mylod to lead the charge on the 'Harry Potter' TV series. Rowling has courted controversy since 2020 for regularly sharing beliefs on social media that many believe are transphobic. The author also uses platforms like X to regularly troll her critics and take aim at public figures (such as slamming John Oliver's comments on trans athletes). Both HBO and the new 'Harry Potter' cast have received backlash for getting into business with Rowling due to her anti-trans posts. Bloys has said that Rowling's anti-trans statements 'haven't affected the casting or hiring of writers or production staff' for the show. He appeared on 'The Town' podcast in May and stressed to 'Harry Potter' fans that the network's upcoming series will not be 'infused' with Rowling's controversial views on the transgender community. 'The decision to be in business with J.K. Rowling is not new for us. We've been in business for 25 years,' Bloys said. 'We already have a show on HBO from her called 'C.B. Strike' that we do with the BBC. It's pretty clear that those are her personal, political views. She's entitled to them. 'Harry Potter' is not secretly being infused with anything. And if you want to debate her, you can go on Twitter.' Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout are headlining HBO's 'Harry Potter' series as Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley. The supporting cast will feature John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid, among others. Rowling made headlines in May for saying she wouldn't fire Essiedu after he signed an open letter condemning the U.K. Supreme Court for ruling that transgender women are not legally considered women and transgender men are not legally considered men. 'I don't have the power to sack an actor from the series and I wouldn't exercise it if I did,' Rowling wrote on X while sharing an article about Essiedu. 'I don't believe in taking away people's jobs or livelihoods because they hold legally protected beliefs that differ from mine.' The 'Harry Potter' series is expected to go into production later this year for a premiere sometime in 2026.
