Tributes have been paid to a former Edinburgh Hibs player after his sad passing.
Legendary Shaun Dennis has sadly passed away at the age of 55 and the club made sure to share a tribute online.
Issuing a statement, Hibernian FC wrote: "Hibernian FC are saddened to learn of the passing of former Hibee Shaun Dennis.
"Our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time.
"Rest in peace Shaun."
The player left Raith Rovers in 1997 to join Hibs - where he spent four years and made over 65 appearances.
Raith Rovers FC said: "Everyone at Raith Rovers Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Rover Shaun Dennis.
"Shaun played 453 games for us and has won more winners' medals than any player in Rovers' history.
"Our thoughts are with Shaun's loved ones at this sad time."
Many Hibs fans were quick to share their condolences following the sad news. One said: "RIP Shaun. You were an awesome player, condolences to family and friends."

Key Premiership dates for Hibs fans in anniversary season
David Gray's men will begin their William Hill Premiership campaign away at Dens Park on Sunday 3 August, 2025 – kicking off at 3pm. The match will be played on the Sunday, rather than the traditional Saturday, due to Hibs playing in Europe that week. Hibs will host Kilmarnock in their first home league game of the season, with the home fixture pencilled in for Saturday 9 August; 3pm kick-off. This game will be moved to the Sunday due to Hibs competing in European competition. This match will also be the Club's first game at Easter Road after turning 150! The final match before Christmas Day sees the Hibs travel to Tannadice Park on Saturday 20 December. There is no match on Boxing Day this season, though Hibs will host Hearts at Easter Road on Saturday 27 December. The 12.30pm kick-off will be broadcast live on Sky Sports! Hibs face Aberdeen in their final match of 2025 at Easter Road on Tuesday 30 December; 7.45pm kick-off. Hibs kick-off 2026 with a trip to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock. The 3pm kick-off will take place on Saturday 3 January, 2026. Their final five before heading into the post-split fixtures sees Hibs take on Dundee away, Livingston at home, Motherwell away, Kilmarnock at home, and Aberdeen away. The final pre-split fixture, versus the Dons at Pittodrie, will be held on Saturday 11 April, 2026. The first Edinburgh Derby meeting of the league season will take place at Tynecastle on Saturday 4 October; 3pm kick-off. As mentioned above, Hibs will host Hearts at Easter Road on Saturday 27 December. The third encounter will be a midweek match-up in Gorgie, with Hibs travelling to Tynecastle for a second time on Wednesday 11 February; 7.45pm kick-off. And gaffer David Gray believes it represents an ideal opportunity to repay fans for keeping the faith during last season's most difficult moments. The bulk of Gray's squad – minus players who have been on international duty during a busy summer – reported back to Hibernian Training Centre this morning for testing. They'll be back tomorrow for a light session. Jordan Obita, Rudi Molotnikov and Jordan Smith are also lined up to coach, while a number of former Hibs greats – including former player and manager John 'Yogi' Hughes – will be taking charge of teams. There's a proper rivalry on the cards as the Cadden brothers, Chris and Nicky, go head-to-head as opposition managers. Scottish Cup-winning centre-half Darren McGregor, who has just led his under-18s to the CAS Elite League title, will also be running a team. Training in morning - before fun begins For Gray, who has spoken often about his pride at seeing the connection between supporters and team repaired and rebuilt last season, the chance to give something back tomorrow is important, the former skipper saying: 'Saturday we've got the Ron Gordon Challenge in the afternoon which will be good - because straight away the players will be back and interacting with the fans again, which is great. The supporters played a big part in what we achieved last season, so it's going to be great for so many of them to get up close to the players and keep building that bond. 'We'll train in the morning, before that a bit of an introduction session back onto the grass. Obviously nothing mental but a wee introduction to get back in there, and then players will be involved in the festival.' HCF chairman Steve Smith said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to have Joe and the others signing on this year for the Ron Gordon Football Festival. The work done by the entire team at the foundation affects the community in such a positive light, and whenever players – current and past – get involved it always allows us to elevate the event and draw more attention to the great work we do. SFA hit back at Rangers over John Brown ‘corrupt' row and ‘remind clubs of their responsibilities'

Rangers released a strongly worded statement on Thursday after the club were handed a £3,000 fine by Scottish Football's governing body after being found in breach of the rules. Rangers were furious and raised concerns about "clarity" and "confidence" in the system. In response the Scottish FA said in a statement: "We note Rangers' response to the determination of a recent independent Judicial Panel Tribunal. "In the interests of accuracy, we wish to address some of the misleading comments contained therein: "The sanction imposed by an independent panel was entirely in keeping with the application of the rules. "The most recent and relevant example of a similar breach, the sanction imposed on Richard Foster of Motherwell FC for comments of a similar nature in the media, attests to that. "Furthermore, to address the comments regarding 'rationale behind differing outcomes', we wish to point to the fact that investigations were undertaken in previous cases outlined and that the Compliance Officers of the time saw fit to issue a censure by way of warning letter for potential breaches deemed insufficiently serious to be progressed to a Notice of Complaint. "This system of proportionality has been adopted since the inception of the Judicial Panel Protocol in 2011. "Indeed, such discretion was exercised last season when the Compliance Officer wrote to the club to warn of the future conduct of players following matters involving Vaclav Cerny, Dujon Sterling and Mohamed Diomande. "We also note that Rangers intend to contact the association to seek clarity on the Judicial Panel Protocol and its application. "The club is, in fact, already represented on the JPP Working Group. "We have requested written reasons from the panel chair involved in the tribunal and in the interests of transparency will publish in due course. "JPP Rule 38 was introduced in response to the referee strike of 2010, when match officials campaigned for greater protection after enduring sustained personal criticism from clubs and fans. Ahead of a new season, we remind clubs of their responsibilities in this regard." More to follow....
