Joe Jonas debuts his new album, 'Music for People Who Believe in Love.' It's his first solo release since 2011.
Joe Jonas fans have a reason to celebrate: His new album is officially here.
Released on May 23, Music for People Who Believe in Love comes nearly a year after Jonas first announced the album. Boasting singles 'Work It Out,' 'What This Could Be' and 'Heart by Heart,' the 14-track album also marks Jonas's first solo project since 2011's Fastlife.
With assists from Americana singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell, folk-pop group Tiny Habits, jazz duo Domi and JD Beck, and Brazilian pop singer Luísa Sonza, Music for People Who Believe in Love captures Jonas at his most adventurous, musically speaking.
'Happy album release day to all who celebrate. Last night was so special and not a phone in sight,' Jonas joked on X alongside a photo of him on stage in the hours leading up to Friday's midnight release. The 35-year-old singer played tracks from the album for fans in Miami, and he'll do the same for fans in New York City on May 25 at the Bowery Ballroom.
Eager to show their support for the Jonas brother, fans were quick to share their initial reactions to the album, even declaring that it'll be 'a music for people who believe in love kind of summer.'
'The beauty and vulnerability Joe put into this album is so pure and real, not every artist has the ability to show these aspects of their personal lives but Joe does it so well,' a fan named Gabby shared in a TikTok video. 'I connect with each and every song, some way shape or form, on insanely deep levels.'
Some of Jonas's fans immediately flocked to Target to purchase the exclusive vinyl pressing of the album.
'First in Target for @joejonas Music For People Who Believe In Love!' Jonas fan Paige Nicole shared on TikTok. Lauren Flores, another fan on TikTok, revealed that she'll 'be listening to [the album] until further notice.'
Jonas's brothers also congratulated the 'Honey Blonde' singer.
'Congrats on this extraordinary release @joejonas. I love this album,' Nick wrote on his Instagram Story.
Kevin also posted about the album on his Instagram Story, writing, 'So incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication @joejonas.'
Younger brother Franklin Jonas, who is featured on 'Velvet Sunshine,' the eighth track on the album, captioned an Instagram post, 'So excited and grateful to be apart of @joejonas new album with the song Velvet Sunshine. So proud of him and this amazing project.'
Jonas performed 'Heart by Heart,' his latest single, during the Season 27 finale of The Voice on May 20 — the same day he stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss the album. His first solo endeavor in over a decade, Jonas opened up about how Music for People Who Believe in Love is a chance to focus on himself — separate from Jonas Brothers, his pop trio with brothers Nick and Kevin, and DNCE, his dance-rock band.
'It's my time,' Jonas told the American Idol alum.
The Camp Rock star also previewed some of the new tracks at an intimate show in Los Angeles on May 19. Jonas enlisted help from familiar faces, including songwriting sister-duo Aly & AJ, who performed a heartfelt rendition of their hit song 'No One' with Jonas.
The singer debuted the music video for 'Heart by Heart' on May 15. The three-minute video sees the singer awkwardly run into an ex-girlfriend in New York City's West Village. The impromptu run-in puts Jonas in his feelings, as he's flooded with memories from their relationship.
Following the initial album announcement in July 2024, Jonas revealed that the LP features songs that 'reflect on my life from a bird's-eye view acknowledging the many blessings around me.'
'When we take a moment to breathe, pause, and reflect on our positives, my hope is that we can find acceptance and ultimately peace in the present moment,' Jonas said in a press release. 'It's okay to cry and mourn a loss — it's part of the process to take care of ourselves and eventually enables us to be there for the people we care about.'
Music for People Who Believe in Love, added Jonas, speaks to his 'experiences of being a father, being a friend to oneself and others, and the happiness I've found in doing what I love for a living.'
Jonas shares two daughters, Willa and Delphine, with his ex-wife, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner. While Jonas previously told Billboard that the album isn't meant to 'put stuff on blast' or 'come for anyone,' he did admit that their very public divorce influenced his approach as a songwriter.
'I was going through a lot of life changes,' he added, 'finding out who I was as a person and father and friend, and living under the microscope of what the music industry can be. And I think, at such a crazy time in my life, I looked to music as an outlet.'
Next up for Jonas? This summer, he'll be releasing his seventh studio album with his brothers Nick and Kevin. Jonas Brothers' Greetings from Your Hometown is out Aug. 8.

"My dream is to continue the adventure, live off the ocean, and hunt for artifacts and treasure around the world. Since sharing my content, people call me 'The Good Pirate.' Sailing has been in my blood ever since I was a kid. My dad was a sailor and his dad was also a sailor. As a child, we spent a lot of time on the water," LeSueur added. Among his findings, there has been "mostly junk," but also some occasional rings made of platinum, silver, or gold. LeSueur said: "We've also found lots of coins, which I use to do my laundry. "Every day is an adventure, even from a sail tearing in 35 knots of wind to a glass-out sunset with fish under the boat. Each day is an adventure," he added. Before traveling to Hawaii for the first time, I spent hours browsing through Instagram and TikTok foodie posts. Gathering ideas for all the delicious meals I'd eat, I had high expectations for the food in Poipu Beach, located on the south shore of Kauai. As it turns out, this island's food scene impressed me even more than expected. From nicer, more sophisticated spots like Red Salt Restaurant to quick bar bites at Kalapaki Joe's, check out these best Kauai food and drink spots on your next visit. These must-visit restaurants in Kauai won't let you down. I love Indian food and will make a point to grab it during any trip. This tucked-away restaurant, "That Indian Place", has excellent food and will adjust to your spice preferences. I ordered the butter chicken (mild) and the chicken sagwala (mild), along with some garlic naan bread. The local atmosphere and outdoor dining patio really made this place stand out as one of my favorite spots to eat throughout the whole trip. Top menu items Mango LassiButter ChickenChicken Tikka MasalaChicken SagwalaPaneer Tikka Stop by Brennecke's Beach Broiler as you stroll along Poipu Beach for a lively, vibrant atmosphere. I highly recommend trying at least one classic Hawaiian dish, such as the Loco Moco, during your visit. You'll also find spam musubi almost everywhere, another classic food in Kauai.
