All About Georgia Groome, Rupert Grint's Girlfriend And Mother Of His Two Children

Yahoo28-04-2025

Next to Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, Rupert Grint is one of the most recognisable faces to come out of the Harry Potter franchise. But even with a starring role in one of the most popular movie franchises, the actor has managed to keep most of his personal life private, including his relationship with longtime girlfriend Georgia Groome.
Groome is no stranger to the big screen, but who is the actor that stole Grint's heart? Here's everything you need to know.
In April 2020, Grint's rep announced that Groome and Grint were expecting their first child together after recent photos of the couple surfaced. 'Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time,' a rep for the Harry Potter actor told E! News.

'"Secret Child Slightly Revealed" Introducing Goldie G. Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far),' Grint wrote in the caption of a picture of the baby, who was wearing a onesie with her name on it.
In an interview with Glamour in 2022, Grint said that he is 'absolutely loving' being a father, adding that he's 'still kind of coming to terms with what being a dad is.'
'It's so much fun. I feel like I've changed as a person for sure,' he said. 'It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I've started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I'm sleeping.'
Groome is best known for her role as the lovable Georgia Nicholson in Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging, a teen flick based on British author Louise Rennison's books Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging and It's OK, I'm Wearing Really Big Knickers. The story follows Nicholson as she navigates the ups and downs of being a teenager. Groome has also starred in the British film London to Brighton and comedy sitcom Up the Woman, as well as a few short films.
The couple kept their relationship under the wraps for years, and many fans didn't realise they were dating until an old photo of the pair circulated on Twitter. A fan posted a grainy photo of Groome with long, curly hair — a clear indicator the photo is a throwback since she's kept her hair in a lob cut for the past few years — and Grint smiling while sitting next to each other. 'I was today years old when I found out Georgia from Angus, thongs and perfect snogging has been going out with Ron Weasley since 2011 ????,' the fan wrote on Twitter.

Groome's mother Fiona Watson was a drama and vocal coach at Nottingham Television Workshop where Groome later received training in acting. According to Groome's IMDB page, her first-ever acting gig was in a film named A Fish Out of Water that was released in 2001.
Grint may not be on social media, but Groome posts on her Twitter page every now and then. Her tweets reveal a lot about her, including that:
She collects bees.

And she's 'obsessed' with Glossier. (Same.)
A week of only using @glossier products and my skin is transformed... if I get to two weeks and am still as obsessed I'm gonna need stocks/shares

Courtney Stodden Calls Out Bethenny Frankel Interview

Courtney Stodden is calling out Bethenny Frankel for the "criticism and bullying" she says she faced in a past interview. Courtney appeared on Bethenny in 2013 amid her split from Doug Hutchison, whom she'd controversially wed two years earlier when he was 51 and she was 16. Her rep had attributed the breakup to Courtney's age at the time, saying in a statement: "As you know, Courtney was married at a young age. Now, at 19, she's interested in exploring life as an unmarried single young adult—with the freedom to explore her independence." Bethenny asked Courtney about the split and her plans after divorce on the show. "You said earlier that you want to go back to being a 19-year-old," she said. "You come here, you have very blonde extensions. You have very large breasts. You have a short skirt. You come in looking like you could be a strip club." She also couldn't believe Courtney had turned down porn deals because of her "promiscuous" appearance. She also said, "🥀 I had to cancel my other interviews that day for a press tour in NYC because I couldn't handle any more criticism and bullying 💔" Bethenny hasn't publicly respond to the clip, but she previously defended her behavior after Courtney called her out for making her feel "mocked" in 2022. "Perhaps unfortunately, how we present ourselves is part of our branding and marketing," she wrote in a message to Courtney, which Courtney then shared on Instagram. "You were certainly marketing yourself differently than you are now, which seems to be working for you."She added, "I wish you luck in your endeavors. If something I said, upset or stuck with you, I'm sorry. Perhaps our conversation did contribute to the positive path that you embarked on." People reacted to the clip in the comments, calling Bethenny's behavior "horrible" and downright disappointing. "wow. it's giving 'but what were you wearing,'" one person wrote. Another stated that's exactly why her "talk show tanked!! She's horrible at interviewing at hosting." "You didn't deserve that," said a third. "I'm so sorry. It's written all over your face that you were hurting. I hope you get a meaningful apology." "You were groomed and healing yourself at this point and she has this to say?" a fourth wrote in disbelief, adding, "Bethenny has always been a mean girl. If anyone said this to Bethenny, she'd rip them a new one. She's also always been a hypocrite." Someone else commented, "God forbid a girl love playboy aesthetic and still wants to be seen as a human being," while one more added, "I will NEVER forgive all the adults who failed you. It still makes me sick to this day. They should feel so ashamed for how they took advantage of a child who was clearly being exploited. I hope it haunts them forever. You deserved so much better."

A Joint Museum Acquisition of a Rare British Self-Portrait

The British Baroque artist William Dobson (1611–1646) is not a household name, but that may be changing with the international news that London's Tate and the National Portrait Gallery (NPG) have jointly acquired one of his rare self-portraits. The purchase Among modern scholars, Dobson's paintings have been critically acclaimed, especially after two 20th-century exhibitions. Art historians have found similarities between his work and that of such illustrious figures as Caravaggio and Rembrandt, two artists who also have important self-portraiture legacies. However, Dobson has long been forgotten by the general public due to personal and historical circumstances.

Is there a post credit scene in 28 Years Later?

The newest sequel in the 28 Days Later franchise hit theaters on Friday, with audiences heading to see what the rage virus had done to the United Kingdom in the nearly three decades since it began. The story picks up with Spike (Alfie Williams) and his dad (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) heading onto the mainland from the safety of their island refuge for a coming-of-age hunting trip. Warning: Spoilers for 28 Years Later follow! Eventually Spike and his mother Isla (the wonderful Jodie Comer) go on a search for a doctor (Ralph Fiennes) that can hopefully help her migraines and bouts of confusion. They, of course, run into a lot of trouble with hordes of infected and a particularly difficult Alpha (the more evolved and stronger infected). After finding Dr. Kelson, Spike has to come to grips with grief and death in a new way, and he decides to stay out on the mainland to learn more about himself. So, is there a post-credit scene in 28 Years Later? The short answer is no, you can leave when the credits start to roll. The longer answer is that there should have been one. Director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland ended the movie with a bizarre scene that involves track-suited, karate fighting killers in blond wigs, led by ringleader Jimmy Crystal (Jack O'Connell). It's a deep cut reference to disgraced British television host Jimmy Savile, but it's also a drastic tonal shift from the rest of the movie. The newest movie is actually the launching point for a hopeful new trilogy, starting with 28 Years Later and continuing with the January 2026 release of 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple. Since the final scene seems to be more of a lead-in to that follow up film, it would have been less of a vibe shift had it followed a wave of credits.
