Robert Downey Jr. continues to have fun teasing fans from the set of "Avengers: Doomsday". On Thursday, the Marvel icon posted an image to his Instagram account which he captioned "Doom workstation essentials." You can see the image below.

Far be it from us to minimize the need for Kleenex while playing Victor von Doom, but the most potentially revealing addition to the workstation is the copy of "Doom" #1 by Sanford Greene and Jonathan Hickman. This giant-sized one-shot was released in 2024, and it's a very interesting comic for someone to be reading in preparation for "Avengers: Doomsday".

The plot of "Doom" #1 revolves around an alternate version of the Marvel Universe in which the world-eating Galactus - the villain of the upcoming "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" - kills all the superheroes and supervillains, leaving only Doctor Doom to defeat him.
On one hand, considering "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" will be the last Marvel film to release before "Avengers: Doomsday", Downey's showcasing of "Doom" #1 makes it tempting to theorize that this means Galactus will have something to do with "Doomsday".
This could actually make a bit of sense. In the comics, Galactus is the last survivor of a dying universe before he arrives in the prime Marvel universe. So it would potentially track for Galactus to somehow travel from the Fantastic Four's home universe to Earth-616.
On the other hand, it could just be pointing to something that has been said about Downey's version of Doctor Doom ever since his casting was announced; that every villain is the hero of his own story. Doctor Doom is certainly not only the hero of "Doom" #1, but quite literally the only hero left. So it could be that Downey is reading the comic not for plot points, but for the feel of Doctor Doom as a hero.
"Avengers: Doomsday" is scheduled to hit theaters May 1, 2026. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. 'Superman''s David Corenswet Says There's 'No Single Zipper' in the Suit for Easy Bathroom Access (Exclusive)
According to David Corenswet, getting in and out of the Superman suit isn't super easy. Talking with PEOPLE about what it was like to wear the iconic Man of Steel costume, Corewnswet gets candid. 'There are lots of zippers, but there's no single zipper that allows me to go to the bathroom, which you would think would be quite straightforward,' he says. 'But nothing is straightforward about these things. I mean, we talked about it and we tried and it was not worth the costs that came with it,' adds the star of director James Gunn 's Superman, in theaters July 11. Asked if that was torture for him, Corenswet says 'not at all.' 'I never had an issue with that. I had the most amazing dresser you could ask for, Scotty, who was sort of like a, I don't know, he felt like a mob fixer. He was always in my ear going, 'Do you need a break? Do you need a break? Tell 'em you need a break and we can step you out. I'll tell him it's me,' ' he says. 'He would make excuses for me if I needed, and we got very good together at getting in and out of the suit, so he would do it quite quickly, and I could take breaks if I needed to over the course of a day,' says Corenswet. The actor recalls the first time he put on the suit after getting cast in the role. 'It was very underwhelming. It was in pieces. The S wasn't even on yet. It was really just about the blue tights,' says Corenswet, who packed on around 40 pounds of muscle to play the superhero. 'It was quite snug because they had made it to my proportions when I screen-tested where I weighed about 195 pounds, and when I walked in for my first costume fitting, I weighed about a 235, 240 pounds,' he says. 'You hear actors who play superheroes talking about squeezing into the suits. I got kind of claustrophobic in the suit the first time just being constricted in all those places at the same time,' he says, calling it an 'intense experience.' Corenswet was announced as the star of Superman in 2023 after he beat out several other names including Patrick Schwarzenegger and Nicholas Hoult (who was since cast as Superman's nemesis Lex Luthor). The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan plays Daily Planet reporter and love interest Lois Lane for Superman's alter ego Clark Kent. She and Corenswet bonded after they were both cast. After climbing a palm tree to get a fresh coconut on Hammerhead Bay, and leaving his pup to nap peacefully, LeSueur grabs his metal detector and starts the search. Immediately, the metal detector starts beeping, signaling something is underneath. However, when LeSueur unearths the finding, it turns out to be just a coin. Refusing to give up just yet, he continues the search, and after finding a bunch of waste, he finally gets another beep. "I see a tiny bit a gold and at this point my heart is racing; I wonder if it's real gold," LeSueur can be heard saying in the clip, as he showcases his finding, a 22-carat gold ring with a red stone on top, which he still hasn't been able to identify. With any luck, I'll hopefully be able to return the lost items to their owner or sell to a jeweler to help cover the costs of boat maintenance." The pair eat a lot of what they catch along the way, spearfishing and lots of coconuts. LeSueur also always makes sure to have appropriate safety equipment and protocol on board, to keep himself and his companion safe. He checks he is always carrying an emergency position-indicating radiobeacon (EPIRB), and that he always lets someone know where he is and where he is headed. "My dream is to continue the adventure, live off the ocean, and hunt for artifacts and treasure around the world. Since sharing my content, people call me 'The Good Pirate.' Sailing has been in my blood ever since I was a kid. My dad was a sailor and his dad was also a sailor. As a child, we spent a lot of time on the water," LeSueur added. Among his findings, there has been "mostly junk," but also some occasional rings made of platinum, silver, or gold. LeSueur said: "We've also found lots of coins, which I use to do my laundry. "Every day is an adventure, even from a sail tearing in 35 knots of wind to a glass-out sunset with fish under the boat. Each day is an adventure," he added. The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received almost 60,000 views and more than 6,000 likes on the platform. One user, James, commented: "I'm stuck doing my dead job while you're doing this …" Mike said: "Do you run any calculations on your lucky finds? The 40-year-old superstar is still at the top of his game, much like Brady when he played in the NFL.
