Ayodhya: CM Yogi Adityanath offers prayers at Hanuman Garhi Mandir
Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 5 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers at the revered Hanuman Garhi Mandir in Ayodhya on Thursday. The CM's visit to the ancient holy city is part of his schedule to attend the 'Pran-Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Darbar in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.
In a post on X, CM Yogi said he is fortunate to witness the 'Pran Pratishtha' program. CM called it an expression of 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat' (One India Excellent India).
CM Yogi wrote, 'Today, in the holy birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, Ayodhya Dham, I am getting the great fortune of becoming a witness to the program organised for the Pran-Pratishtha of the holy idols of gods in the eight temples including Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. This auspicious occasion is a new expression of 'Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat'. Victory to Siyavar Shri Ramachandra!'
June 5 marks the third day of the 'Pran Pratishtha' program, which began on June 3. Sharing the updates on X, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust wrote, 'On the first day of the Pran Pratishtha ceremonies, various Vedic rituals were ceremoniously initiated in the Yagyashala for the Pratishtha of Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, as well as for the other deities in the surrounding Ashta Devalayas.
'The rituals continued on the second day of the event. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra wrote on X, 'On the second day of the Pran Pratishtha anushthan, various adhivas were performed, and the utsav vigrahas were taken on a Parikrama of the mandir premises. In addition to the Yajna Mandap, rituals were also conducted in the devalayas where the Pran Pratishtha will be carried out.'
'The utsav vigrahas did parikrama of the mandir complex, following which rituals like Shayya Nivas and Prasada Vastu Puja were conducted. Later, a havan and aarti were performed in the Yagyashala. The Annadhivasa, Ghritadhivasa, Jaladhivasa, Pushpa Nivasa, Sharkaradhivasa, and Shayya Adhivasa were all performed sequentially,' the trust added.
Meanwhile, CM Yogi is to attend Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav in Ayodhya on June 5, said Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj, head of Shriramvallabhkunj. The event will be organised by the Anjaneya Sewa Trust. The event will be held from June 5 to 11, and the week-long celebration will feature devotional events, rituals, and spiritual discourses. (ANI)

The ministry of information and broadcasting said in a statement on Sunday that the 51 speeches reflect President Murmu's vision, philosophy, and key priorities during her second year in office from August 2023 to July 2024. "The book will become a guiding light to build Viksit Bharat with progressive thoughts while preserving our glorious heritage. President Droupadi Murmu knows the importance of diversity in our country and recognises the pain of the deprived. This book proclaims the spirit of equality," Singh said. The defence minister remarked that the book brings together President Murmu's insights and ideas across a wide range of subjects, from civilisation and culture to religion, science, art, literature, education, health, and the journey from past to future. Singh asserted on President Murmu being the best example of women-led development in India. On Saturday, Singh had said that Operation Sindoor was not over yet, and that India was ready to take 'all kinds of action against terrorism' while addressing troops of the Army's Udhampur-based Northern Command on the 11th International Yoga Day. Singh had warned that the military action in Pakistan, a retaliation for the Pahalgam attack, was a clear message that it would face the consequences for supporting terror activities against India.

Karnataka CM inaugurates development works worth 936 crore in Raichur
Raichur (Karnataka) [India], June 23 (ANI): Development works worth Rs 936 crore were inaugurated in Raichur, Karnataka, on Monday, reaffirming the Congress Government's commitment to delivering on its promises, said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, as per an official statement from the Karnataka Chief Minister's Office (CMO). He was speaking after inaugurating the Tribal Cultural Festival organised by the Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department and the District Administration, unveiling the nameplate of Adikavi Maharshi Valmiki University, and participating in the 371st Dashamanotsav celebrations. 'Our government is committed to development. We had promised 560 guarantees during this election. Already, 235 of these have been fulfilled, and the remaining will be completed in the next three years,' the Chief Minister said. He criticised the previous BJP government, accusing it of neglecting development and now resorting to false propaganda out of frustration over Congress' achievements. 'From 2013 to 2018, our previous government fulfilled all the promises made and even 30 more that were not part of the manifesto,' he recalled. Highlighting the 'steep price rise' under the Modi-led government, the CM pointed out how the prices of gold, silver, rice, pulses, cooking oil, LPG, petrol, diesel, and fertilisers have risen sharply, burdening ordinary citizens. 'Despite being in power at the Centre, the BJP is lying shamelessly to the people,' he charged. Emphasising the historical importance of Article 371J for Kalyana Karnataka's progress, CM Siddaramaiah reminded that it was the result of the relentless efforts of Congress leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge and Dharam Singh, supported by the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government. 'The BJP opposed this historic step. When Vajpayee was Prime Minister, Advani said that 371J was not possible,' he said. Since coming to power, the Congress government has allocated Rs 13,500 crore for Kalyana Karnataka's development, with a commitment to allocate more funds going forward. 'Due to 371J, our youth are now becoming engineers, doctors, IAS, IPS, ACs, and DCs. This is our achievement,' he said. Thanking the people of Kalyana Karnataka for electing Congress in all five Lok Sabha seats from the region, he said, 'The blessings of the people of Raichur district are always upon us. Kalyana Karnataka will remain a stronghold of Congress.' Lashing out at the BJP for 'betraying' Karnataka, he said, 'Even though they are in power at the Centre, BJP leaders have failed to correct the injustice done to Karnataka. No BJP or MP has raised their voice to protect the state's interests. This is their true character.' 'I will be visiting Delhi today to demand that the injustice done to Karnataka by the 15th Finance Commission be corrected at least in the 16th Finance Commission. I will be meeting the Union Finance Minister regarding this,' the Chief Minister announced. New Delhi [India], June 23 (ANI): With about two weeks remaining before the critical July 9 deadline, India and the United States face mounting challenges in finalising their Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) as the 90-day tariff pause period draws to a close. Government sources emphasised that India's national interests will remain paramount in ongoing negotiations, even as both nations work intensively to reach an interim deal before the deadline expires. The negotiations have hit significant roadblocks, with the US maintaining its demands for substantially reduced duties on American agricultural and dairy products, along with market access for genetically modified (GMO) crops. India, however, has firmly rejected these proposals, citing concerns over food security, environmental protection, and the welfare of its domestic farming sector. 'India is unwilling to compromise on GMO crops or provide broad-based access for US agricultural and dairy products,' a senior government source said, speaking on the condition of anonymity. 'Our position remains clear that any agreement must serve India's strategic and economic interests first.' The American side has been particularly insistent on securing lower tariffs for its agricultural exports, viewing India's vast consumer market as crucial for its farming sector. However, Indian negotiators have expressed concerns that unrestricted access could undermine local farmers and food security frameworks. Despite these fundamental disagreements, both sides remain committed to achieving a breakthrough before the July 9 cutoff. The current tariff pause, implemented 90 days ago, has provided breathing room for negotiations while preventing an escalation of trade tensions. If no agreement is reached by the deadline, tariffs will automatically revert to the levels that existed on April 2, potentially reigniting trade friction between the two nations. However, government sources suggest that even in such a scenario, India would maintain a relative advantage compared to other competing manufacturing economies.
