Ram Darbar in Ayodhya opens to devotees

Ayodhya : Ram Darbar at Ayodhya's Ram Temple was opened to devotees on Saturday. Champat Rai, the general secretary of the temple trust, granted approval for the opening of Ram Darbar late Friday after a meeting with the local administration. Since the decision was made late on Friday, only a limited number of passes for two slots --- from 5 to 7 pm and 7 to 9 pm --- were arranged for visitors on Saturday, temple trust member Anil Mishra said. He indicated that 300 passes will be available for each two-hour time slot for Ram Darbar: from 7 to 9 am, 9 to 11 am, 1 to 3 pm, 3 to 5 pm, 5 to 7 pm, and 7 to 9 district administration and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra have each been allocated 150 passes each. Of these, 100 are for special darshan and 50 for easy-access darshan. On June 5, a consecration ceremony for seven temples, including Ram Darbar, was held at the Ram Temple complex amid Vedic chants and rituals. While Ram Darbar has been placed on the first floor, six other temples have been built along the parkota wall, and one dedicated to Sheshavatar is located within the temple compound. PM Narendra Modi praised the opening of Ram Darbar on his X handle. He wrote: "The birthplace of Lord Shri Ram has witnessed another glorious and historic moment. The holy occasion of the consecration of the grand and divine Ram Darbar is going to fill all Ram devotees with reverence and joy. Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 5 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday offered prayers before Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, ahead of the Pran Pratishtha rituals. He also offered prayers at the revered Hanuman Garhi Mandir in Ayodhya. The CM's visit to the ancient holy city is part of his schedule to attend the 'Pran-Pratishtha' ceremony of Ram Darbar in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. In a post on X, CM Yogi said he is fortunate to witness the 'Pran Pratishtha' program. CM called it an expression of 'Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat' (One India Excellent India). CM Yogi wrote, 'Today, in the holy birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, Ayodhya Dham, I am getting the great fortune of becoming a witness to the program organised for the Pran-Pratishtha of the holy idols of gods in the eight temples including Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. This auspicious occasion is a new expression of 'Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat'. Victory to Siyavar Shri Ramachandra!' June 5 marks the third day of the 'Pran Pratishtha' program, which began on June 3. Sharing the updates on X, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust wrote, 'On the first day of the Pran Pratishtha ceremonies, various Vedic rituals were ceremoniously initiated in the Yagyashala for the Pratishtha of Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, as well as for the other deities in the surrounding Ashta Devalayas.' The rituals continued on the second day of the event. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra wrote on X, 'On the second day of the Pran Pratishtha anushthan, various adhivas were performed, and the utsav vigrahas were taken on a Parikrama of the mandir premises. In addition to the Yajna Mandap, rituals were also conducted in the devalayas where the Pran Pratishtha will be carried out.' 'The utsav vigrahas did parikrama of the mandir complex, following which rituals like Shayya Nivas and Prasada Vastu Puja were conducted. Later, a havan and aarti were performed in the Yagyashala. The Annadhivasa, Ghritadhivasa, Jaladhivasa, Pushpa Nivasa, Sharkaradhivasa, and Shayya Adhivasa were all performed sequentially,' the trust added. Meanwhile, CM Yogi will attend Saryu Jayanti Janmotsav in Ayodhya on June 5, said Mahant Rajkumar Das Maharaj, head of Shriramvallabhkunj. The Anjaneya Sewa Trust will organise the event. The event will be held from June 5 to 11, and the week-long celebration will feature devotional events, rituals, and spiritual discourses. (ANI)

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], June 4 (ANI): As the sacred city of Ayodhya prepares for the grand Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Darbar at the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, 62,000 boxes of prasad are being dispatched from Lucknow to mark the auspicious occasion. Kshitij Gupta, Marketing Head, Chhappan Bhog, spoke to ANI and said, 'We are very grateful to have received this opportunity to send prasad to Ayodhya. We have made Barfi with a mixture of chickpeas and Moongdal. Sixty-two thousand boxes of prasad are being sent from Lucknow for the Ram Darbar Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya Ram Mandir. We are sending 20,000 packets daily...' The sculptor of Ram Darbar, Satyanarayan, spoke to ANI and said, 'I do not have words to express. It is only when God showers his blessings that such events take place. Lord Hanuman has blessed us and provided me with this opportunity. It was not a work; it was a service. It took me seven months to make the idol.' 'I used to pray to Lord Hanuman that I want to get the opportunity to serve Lord Ram. Lord Hanuman has fulfilled my wish,' he said. The temple complex in Ayodhya has been decked in vibrant, colourful lights, casting a divine glow as devotees gather in anticipation of the spiritual milestone. The 'Pran Pratishtha' rituals of Ram Darbar, which are performed on the first floor of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Ayodhya, began on Tuesday. Visuals showed devotees queued up to offer prayers at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. The sacred ceremony began at 6:30 AM on Tuesday and will continue until June 5. Ahead of the ceremony, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra shared an X post showing the visuals of the Kalash Yatra organised at the banks of the Saryu River. The X post said, 'Ahead of the Pran Pratishtha karyakram at the eight devalay inside Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex, a sacred Kalash Yatra was organised today from the holy banks of the Sarayu river, in the esteemed presence of revered saints, acharyas, trustees of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, distinguished citizens, and a large gathering of devotees.' (ANI) Earlier, Ayodhya officials had begun action to ban meat sales along key religious routes like Ram Path and Dharma 14 Kosi Marg, issuing notices to shopkeepers after complaints were raised at CM Yogi Adityanath's Janata Darbar. Ayodhya Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi also informed that a liquor ban is also being planned. Speaking to ANI on Saturday, Mayor Tripathi said that discussions regarding the ban had been ongoing for a long time. 'It was under discussion for a very long time that the sale of meat be banned in Ayodhya. It was decided that the sale of meat must be prohibited on Ram Path,' said Tripathi. He added that steps would soon be taken to prohibit the sale of liquor in the same areas. 'We are sure that we will soon ban liquor sale too...,' he told ANI. (ANI)

Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Construction Committee of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra , announced on Friday that the idols of Lord Ram, Lakshman, Sita, and Hanuman have departed from Jaipur and will be installed on the first floor of the Ram Temple today. He further stated that devotional programs are scheduled to commence on June 3 and conclude on June 5. "The idols of Lord Ram, his brother Lakshman, Sitaji and Hanumanji have left from Jaipur and will be taken to the temple's first floor today. Devotional programs will begin on June 3 and end on June 5... "Preparations are complete, including essential works like waterproofing and repellency, which will continue as needed. However, the core construction of the main temple will be finalised, marking a historic milestone. The remaining construction within the temple premises is on track for completion by September-October, per the planned schedule. Key elements like the Parakota and the Peshavatar Temple are nearing completion. The Sapt Mandir, housing seven pavilions and statues of sages, is already finished. Additionally, the Pushkarni water reservoir at the centre has been completed. By the end of 2025, all construction projects initiated in 2020 are expected to be fully realised," he said. Live Events The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir is constructed in traditional Nagara style. Its length (east-west) is 380 feet, its width is 250 feet, and its height is 161 feet. 392 pillars and 44 doors support it. The temple's pillars and walls showcase intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, Gods, and Goddesses. In the main sanctum sanctorum on the ground floor, the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram (the idol of Shri Ramlalla) has been placed. Lakhs of devotees have been flocking to Ayodhya since the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla. Daily visitors to the Hanumangarhi Ram Temple have also been increasing rapidly.
