Grantchester lands 11th series on ITV – and it starts filming in just a few weeks' time
GRANTCHESTER fans are thrilled as the hit ITV drama is officially returning for an 11th series - with filming set to kick off in just a few weeks' time.
The long-running detective show, known for its gripping storylines and charming village setting, will once again follow the crime-solving duo as they tackle new mysteries in the 1960s countryside.

The duo will return as DI Geordie Keating and Reverend Alphy Kottaram for series 11.
Fan favourites Al Weaver (Leonard Finch), Tessa Peake-Jones (Mrs C), Kacey Ainsworth (Cathy Keating), and Oliver Dimsdale (Daniel Marlowe) are also back - alongside Nick Brimble, Bradley Hall and Melissa Johns.
In the last series, Geordie and Alphy didn't just crack cases in the sleepy village - they leaned on each other through emotional family battles and dark personal secrets.

Expect even more twists, tears and turns this time round.
Also this time round, Reverend Alphy finally feels like he's found his place in Grantchester - but not everything is as settled as it seems.
As old secrets bubble to the surface, Alphy is forced to reckon with parts of his past he's kept tightly under wraps.
Will he let his guard down and open his heart, or will he be forced to face some hard truths about who he really is first?

This series follows a mother's grief for her son, who was killed in an accident. Nicholas Blake's novel of the same name has been adapted for the programme. Stars include Cush Jumbo, Jared Harris, Billy Howle and Geraldine James.
Red Eye:
Starring Richard Armitage, Jing Lusi and Lesley Sharp star in this six-part thriller, which mostly takes place during an all-night flight between London and Beijing. With dead bodies piling up and a mystery to unravel, the heroes must work fast to get to the truth.
This Australian drama originally aired as a miniseries in 2022, with the episodes dropping in the UK in February 2023. Four months later, the show was renewed for a second season. Jurassic Park star Sam Neill stars in the leading role of barrister Brett Colby.
Martin Clunes stars in this drama based on true murder investigations. Series one focused on the death of Amélie Delagrange, which took place in 2004, while the second depicted the search for serial rapist Delroy Grant.
His storyline involved jetting in from Florida to London on a mission to find his biological father, Grant.
But, his stay was short and sweet as he went back to the States after just a month.

Oscar Branning to return to EastEnders for first time in eight years
Oscar Branning, the son of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Tanya Cross (Jo Joyner), is to return to EastEnders for the first time in eight years. Branning will return to the BBC soap aged 17 and will be played by Pierre Moullier, having previously been portrayed by Gabriel Miller-Williams, Neo Hall and Charlee Hall. Moullier said: "It's pretty surreal to join EastEnders – it keeps hitting me that I'm actually on Albert Square. "When I found out I was joining the Brannings, it was so exciting as they are such an iconic family, and I love that there are so many skeletons in the closet. "Oscar is so much fun to play, and the audience should be prepared for the unexpected as he's a complex guy." Producers have kept the reason for his return secret, but say it will be revealed when his older sister, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), receives a mysterious call, with Oscar's return set to "turn her life upside down". EastEnders executive producer Ben Wadey said: "I'm very excited to bring Oscar Branning back to Walford and introduce viewers to him now that he's all grown up. "Oscar is very much a Branning which means there's going to be plenty of drama in store this summer. "We're delighted to welcome Pierre as he takes on the role and can't wait for viewers to see him bring Oscar to life." Oscar last appeared in the show when he visited Max on Father's Day in 2017, before returning to Exeter, where he lived with his mother. The character is expected to return to Albert Square next month, with Moullier already filming scenes for the show.

Former Aidan O'Brien jockey rides first Royal Ascot winner in six years aged 52
Seamie Heffernan celebrated his first Royal Ascot winner in six years on Saturday as he partnered the George Baker-trained Get It to victory in the Wokingham Stakes. The seven-year-old just held on to deny the fast-finishing big-race favourite More Thunder after making every yard in the six-furlong contest on the final day of the prestigious meeting. It was a first Royal Ascot winner for Heffernan, who turns 53 next month, since he partnered South Pacific to victory in the King George V Stakes in 2019 and his sixth in total. South Pacific led home a 1-2-3 for Aidan O'Brien at odds of 22/1 six years ago and Get It returned an even bigger price (28/1) under a delighted Heffernan. The jockey told ITV: "I love riding at Royal Ascot and when you get to my age, you appreciate a lot of things in life." Last year's Stewards' Cup winner at Goodwood, Get It, shone once more at Ascot, having set a new course record just last month. He dashed out in front, dominating the central stretch of the track and holding off a late surge from William Haggas' favourite More Thunder to clinch the win by a head. After the race, an elated Baker said: "He broke Blue Point's record here six weeks ago and that was a great thrill – and it got us into this race. "Seamie has given him a peach. All credit to Pat Cosgrave who, annoyingly, is banned. Pat has been the making of this horse and a great, great friend of mine and I'd love Patsy to be riding him obviously because we've had a lot of fun along the way – but what a wonderful substitute in Seamie. But, look it, I'm going to continue race riding so, if Aidan wants to use me, it will be absolutely fine. The only difference is that I won't be riding out in Ballydoyle every day anymore." "Seamus rang me last weekend to say he was going to go freelance," explained O'Brien last year. "I totally respect that and I told him he's welcome to come back any time he likes, we're always here any time it suits him. That will always be the way, if it ever suits him.
