Ana De Armas Recalls Finding 'Connection' With Keanu Reeves Beyond ‘John Wick: Ballerina' Fight Scene — CinemaCon
Although John Wick fans can expect a high-octane showdown between the pair, Ana de Armas was excited to connect with her Ballerina co-star Keanu Reeves through words.
A decade after they starred together in Knock Knock (2015), the actress spoke to Deadline at CinemaCon about her 'very special' experience working with Reeves on her upcoming film From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, premiering June 6.

'It was amazing to have him on set, honestly. The scene turned out to be longer than we thought it was going to be in the script originally and during rehearsals,' she explained. 'And then on set, on the day, we just kept finding things and little moments between them, not just action, but the acting moments and the connection between these two characters and establishing what their relationship is.'
De Armas continued, 'And I think in such a short time, we accomplished that very well. It's a good setup for who these two people are and what's going to happen with them. So, it was very special just to have that moment with him.'
Set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), Ballerina stars De Armas as Eve Macarro, the titular dancer who begins her training in the assassin traditions of the Ruska Roma, setting out to exact revenge for her father's death.

A trailer released last month shows Eve face off against Reeves' John Wick in an epic fight sequence. The movie also stars Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus and Ian McShane.
Directed by Wiseman from a script by Shay Hatten and characters by Derek Kolstad, the Thunder Road Films/87eleven feature is produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and Chad Stahelski.
John Wick (2014) grossed more than $86 million worldwide, with the franchise crossing the $1 billion mark last year with John Wick: Chapter 4.
The franchise will continue with Ballerina. Meanwhile, Donnie Yen is set to reprise his role as the highly skilled, blind assassin Caine in an upcoming Lionsgate film. A prequel anime film is also in development.
In addition to last year's Peacock prequel limited series The Continental, the sequel series John Wick: Under the High Table is in the works.

Jon Bernthal to play Punisher again in next 'Spider-Man' adventure

Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter reported the casting news Friday. The film is set to go into production this summer. Bernthal has played the Marvel comic-book vigilante Frank Castle/the Punisher in his own eponymous TV show, as well as the related shows Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again. In addition to appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day opposite Tom Holland as the titular web-slinger, Bernthal will also play the Punisher in an as-yet-untitled special on Disney+ Both projects are set for release in 2026. Bernthal was also recently seen in The Accountant 2 and The Amateur.

Love Island USA Season 7 Claims Over 1 Billion Minutes Streamed
is taking over our lives yet another summer, and we can't be mad about it. Season 7 is riding the high of last year's fan-favorite group of Islanders, and they had big shoes to fill. Thankfully, the singles came to Fiji with a mission — make connections and stir up a little drama. From Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown's whirlwind relationship to Ace Greene and Amaya Espinal's frenemy-ship, there's been a lot to take in so far. Apparently, fans are so obsessed with Love Island that we're watching a record-breaking amount of episodes. In a span of less than a week, Love Island USA had 1.2 billion minutes streamed across the nine episodes available, Deadline reports. Luminate looked at streaming minutes from June 6 to 12 to determine the total. It's the second most-watched streaming show on TV. So, fans are obsessing over tuning in to see what tricks Ariana Madix has up her sleeves next. That definitely makes us feel better about our TV watching habits. It's hard to believe that fans have already watched a billion minutes, and the season hasn't even been on for three weeks yet. That means thousands of people have witnessed antics like Taylor Williams bursting out of his straps after being seduced by Olandria Carthen. It's also a whole lot of people who have seen Huda crash out. Yikes. It took Season 6 nearly a month to crack a billion minutes viewed, so Season 7 is off to a strong start. Surely, with the way things are going in the villa these days, it won't take us long to rack up another billion minutes on this season alone. ‘The Bear' Season 4: The plot, returning cast members, release date and more. Where Carmy, Sydney and the restaurant go from here.
'Every second counts,' and that's made no clearer than on FX's The Bear. Returning on June 25, the Emmy-winning series will transport audiences back to the chaotic fine dining restaurant helmed by tortured culinary genius Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White). FX quietly renewed the series for a fourth season in March 2024. The latest season was filmed back-to-back with season 3, Deadline reported. Ahead, we break down everything you need to know before The Bear returns. The season three finale ends with a foreboding 'to be continued' on the screen. In the final scene of the season, Carmy looks down at his phone to see that the Chicago Tribune review of his restaurant has posted — and that he has a number of missed calls from both Cicero (Oliver Platt) and the Computer (Brian Koppelman). We don't get a close enough look at the review to fully know whether it's positive or negative, though fans have tried to decipher what it says. Carmy angrily exclaims 'motherf***er' after reading it — if that's any sort of indication. And if the review is bad, Cicero will stop funding the restaurant. Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), meanwhile, has a tough decision to make: Will she sign the partnership agreement and stick it out with the Bear or jump ship and take up former Ever chef Adam Shapiro's offer as his new chef de cuisine? Carmy's strict list of non-negotiables and toxic pursuit of culinary excellence could be enough reason for Sydney to cut ties with him and start new elsewhere. In the Season 4 trailer, Carmy seems eager to turn his attitude and the restaurant's morale around, though it may be too late. 'Look, we could do this. We could take care of people. We could make it calm. We could make it delicious. We could make people happy,' Carmy says. Thankfully, we won't have to wait for weekly episode drops. All 10 episodes of the fourth season will be available to stream on Hulu starting June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. It wouldn't be The Bear without the group of chefs — or Jeffs — responsible for running it. Fans can rest assured that the entire kitchen staff, including the fan favorites below, are reprising their starring roles: Jeremy Allen White (Carmen 'Carmy' Berzatto) Ayo Edebiri (Sydney Adamu) Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Richard 'Richie' Jerimovich) Liza Colón-Zayas (Tina Marrero) Lionel Boyce (Marcus) Abby Elliott (Natalie 'Sugar' Berzatto) Matty Matheson (Neil Fak) While there's no word on whether or not we'll be meeting any new faces, we will be reunited with familiar ones, like Donna (Jamie Lee Curtis), the volatile, unstable matriarch of the Berzatto family. Platt as Cicero and Molly Gordon as Claire Dunlap will also be returning this season. The Bear has previously featured a noteworthy roster of guest stars like John Cena as Sammy Fak and Josh Hartnett as the fiancé of Richie's ex-wife Tiff (Gillian Jacobs), who were both introduced in the third season. Jon Bernthal, beloved for his role as Carmy and Sugar's big brother who passed away, and Joel McHale as David Fields, Carmy's abusive old boss from New York, also appear in flashbacks throughout the series. Will Poulter as chef Luca and Olivia Colman as chef Terry emerged as fan favorites during the show's second season. Neither has outright confirmed they're returning, but Poulter's made his adoration of the show common knowledge. 'I really hope so,' Poulter told the Los Angeles Times in April of whether he'd be returning to The Bear. 'I love that show so much. The fact I get to be in it is crazy. When I'm on that set, I'm like, 'Oh, they've let a fan on set.' I literally feel like a competition winner.' The cast has remained pretty mum on details surrounding the Emmy-winning series' fourth season. What we do know, though, is that Edebiri, who made her directorial debut with Season 3, Episode 6's 'Napkins' on The Bear, also cowrote an episode for Season 4 with Boyce. 'Each season I've gotten to do different things,' Edebiri told actor-director Ramy Youssef for Cultured magazine. 'Last season I directed for the first time and this season I've written an episode. It's been a minute since I've written for TV, and I've learned so much since the last time — even something as simple as knowing what it's like to shoot an overnight. So, my episode will be taking place during the day.'
