Toia comes from a deeply athletic family lineage -- his older brother Siaki Ika won a national championship at LSU and was a two-time All-Big 12 selection at Baylor before being chosen in the 2023 NFL Draft. He has another brother, Jay Toia, who played Big 10 football for UCLA before being drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. A third brother, Soane Toia, also recently finished his eligibility San Jose State.
247Sports' recruiting analyst Greg Biggins labeled him as the "most promising" defensive line prospect from California since Michigan star Mason Graham, and made a player comparison to his older brother Jay.

"He plays a lot of edge, most likely to avoid constant double teams but he's a tremendous interior line presence who can win with power and quickness. He combines a quick first step, strong hands and a consisted motor," Biggins wrote.
"He's a relentless player with a nice edge in his game and can manhandle opposing linemen at the high school level. He has an NFL ceiling if he reaches his potential and he's talented enough to play for any school in the country."
Toia also holds offers from some of the top programs in college football, including Michigan, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, and USC. In total, he holds 24 FBS offers.

Angel Reese's ‘Mebounds' Trademark Sparks Reaction After Low First-Half Rebound Total

Angel Reese's 'Mebounds' Trademark Sparks Reaction After Low First-Half Rebound Total originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese led the WNBA in rebounds per game during her rookie season with 13.1, and it's clear she's continued her success on the boards this year. She entered Saturday's game against the Phoenix Mercury once again leading the league, averaging 11.7 rebounds per game. Advertisement With rebounding as her clear strength, all eyes are on her each time she steps on the floor to battle for boards. However, fans have argued that most of her rebounds come from her own misses. They've even gone as far as calling them "Mebounds" instead of rebounds. Reese found it funny and instead of taking it personally, opted to capitalize on it. Last Saturday, she filed a trademark for "Mebounds" and has since announced a new line of merchandise. Fans responded on social media during the Sky's game against the Mercury after Reese finished the first half with just one rebound, as Chicago trailed 58-43. Chicago Sky forward Angel Krzaczynski-Imagn Images "Imagine trademarking a dumb (expletive) name like Mebounds and only having one in two quarters at 6'3. Angel Reese is (expletive) bro," one fan said. Advertisement "'Mebounds' only -13 points while on the floor just in the first half. Somebody needs to coach her before she becomes a full fledged bricklayer," another wrote. "Angel Reese made a whole (expletive) brand about Mebounds and you got 1 at half smh holy air ball," added a fan. "I don't think this girl has hit her rebounds line since the whole 'mebounds' (expletive)," one said. "already -13 while on the floor just in the first half. Needs a coach that will bench her (expletive) every time she rebounds and go back for another miss put back. Grab the rebound and pass it back out to a teammate for a clean look," a fan added.
