Machine Gun Kelly brings 'music and laughs' to baby daughter

Perth Now6 hours ago

Machine Gun Kelly's parenting "specialty" is bringing "music and laughs".
The 35-year-old musician - whose former partner Megan Fox gave birth to their daughter Saga Blade in March - has been relishing getting the chance to catch up on some sleep while away performing and while he noted the Transformers actress has a "rougher" time than he does with a newborn in the house, he is doing his best to shower his little girl with love.
He told People magazine: "[I recently] wrote her a lullaby on a ukulele.
"Megan is in the no sleep club, for sure. I've been travelling a little bit, just doing some performances. So on those nights, I for sure, just hit the snooze button a million times and I'm catching up on all this.
"Women are in the rougher trenches of the newborn process, but my specialty is music and laughs and whatever I can do to make her smile and kind of get introduced to the world with love."
MGK also has 15-year-old Casie from his relationship with Emma Cannon, and the teenager is finding being a big sister a lot of "fun".
She said: "It's really just so cute. I love her so much. It's so cute. It's like, different, you know?"
The Cliche singer is Casie's biggest "cheerleader".
She said: "[He] definitely gives a lot of advice. He's more like a hype man, though."
Her dad agreed: "Yeah, I'm a cheerleader."
Meanwhile, MGK - whose real name is Colson Baker - hopes his upcoming album Los Americana will allow him to be a "vessel for a really happy project in a very dark time."
He said: "So I think it'll naturally find its way to people's ears. Good music goes a long way.
"And I still believe in albums and people being like, 'Yo, I just heard a great album.' Then you have to hear it. So word of mouth is kind of what I'm going for."
The Emo Girl hitmaker finally revealed his baby girl's name earlier this week.
He shared a video on Instagram, in which he played a ukulele for the tot, whose face couldn't be seen as she rocked back and forth, cooing in the background.
He asked the baby before he started to play: "You ready?"
He captioned the post with his daughter's full name, writing: "Saga Blade Fox-Baker."
Fans were previously left confused as to the baby's moniker.
When he announced Megan had given birth, MGK wrote on Instagram: "she's finally here!! our little celestial seed [tears and heart emojis] 3/27/25 (sic)"
Much to his amusement, many fans then assumed the baby had been named Celestial Seed.
A few days after her baby, he shared a screenshot of a TikTok video about the birth announcement and wrote on his Instagram Story: 'Wait guys…her name isn't 'Celestial Seed' [cry laughing emoji].
'Her mom is gonna tell you the name when we're ready."
Megan - who also has sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, eight, with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green - and MGK split in November, shortly after it was announced that the 39-year-old actress was pregnant.

Tammy Hembrow announces divorce from Matt Zukowski following just seven months of marriage

Tammy Hembrow has confirmed she has filed for divorce from husband Matt Zukowski after just seven months of marriage. Hembrow, 31, who has 17 million followers on Instagram, confirmed the news in a tearful clip to her followers at the weekend. The couple became engaged in December, 2023 after just three months of dating. They tied the knot in November last year at the upmarket Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay, in northern NSW. But just months later, Hembrow ended months of speculation and confirmed the marriage was over. 'I don't want to get into the details and I want to be sensitive to everyone involved,' Hembrow told fans in the clip she published to her Instagram Stories. 'Obviously, when you marry someone, you do it thinking that it is going to be forever and I blame no one but myself,' she added, struggling to talk through tears. 'I've made not the best choices when it comes to relationships. I'm good at putting on rose-colored glasses. 'Obviously the worst part for me is that I have kids. I don't care about me, I know I will be ok but I feel awful.' Hembrow has two children, son Wolf and daughter Saskia, with fellow influencer, Reece Hawkins. She has a second daughter, Posy, with Gold Coast sports identify, Matt Poole. Hembrow said she was in therapy amid the relationship breakdown. 'Therapy — life changing,' she said. 'I feel like there's been periods of my life where I've gone to therapy and I've never stuck with it. 'This whole experience has just made me feel like I still have a lot of growing to do. A lot of work to do but I'm giving myself grace and well I'm trying to … it's a bit hard right now. 'There's a lesson in everything and hopefully this time I learn it.' Zukowski also shared his own statement confirming the relationship was over. 'It's with a heavy heart I share that Tammy and I have decided to separate,' Zukowski began. 'Both of us have struggled with making this decision however we need to do what is right for ourselves and her three children. 'This wasn't a decision we took lightly. Our time together will always be cherished and never forgotten.' Speculation has been rife the pair had ended their relationship. Zukowski was noticeably absent from Hembrow's 31st birthday, Posy's birthday party, and the family's Easter weekend celebrations, just five months after tying-the-knot. Previously, Hembrow had been engaged to Reece Hawkins. The Gold Coast-based star has become a huge name in the online space, with numerous brand deals, which sees her promote products. Hembrow regularly has her fortune estimated at $50 million.

'Mean girl': Ellen DeGeneres slammed as 'creepy and weird' by fellow comedian after talk show host fled Donald Trump's America for UK farm life

Comedian Margaret Cho has slammed her "mean girl" former colleague Ellen DeGeneres as "creepy and weird" in a scathing new interview. During a recent appearance on the Kelly Mantle Show podcast, the comedian described the former talk show host as "somebody that I'd known for such a long time." "It's so weird now, [the] public perception of her is more true to … she's mean," Cho told host Kelly Mantle. "She was like a mean girl, kind of, but also she would be real nice." "I think she always had negative feelings toward me because her girlfriends and wives always liked me," the "Drop Dead Diva" alum, 56, claimed of DeGeneres, 67. "There's a kind of woman [who] loves a female comic. … But yeah, Ellen was really weird, and not nice to me for most of my career," Cho claimed. The "Notorious C.H.O." star explained that she opened for DeGeneres when she would headline comedy clubs in the '80s, "way before her big fame." However, Cho said things began to feel different between them once she appeared on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" in the aughts. "She acted like we just met," Cho claimed. "And I'm like, 'Bitch, what?' That's weird. We go way back." The former "All-American Girl" actress also claimed DeGeneres "cut" a portion from the latter's interview with David Bowie, where he raved about Cho. "He was really thrilled about it, and he talked at length about it. And she cut it out of the show, which made me so mad," Cho added. "The producer, who's a really good friend of mine, had to call me and tell me, 'I can't believe she did this, but she cut it out of the show. You need to know that he was going on and on about your outfit. He loves you,'" the stand-up comedian claimed. "I don't know if it was personal, maybe it was for time. But still, I'm gonna take it personally because I decided to." The scathing comments come after DeGeneres was seen appearing to struggle to adapt to life in the UK, with the star sharing footage of herself struggling to complete a common farm chore in May. In a video filmed by Portia and shared by Ellen on Instagram, the comedian attempted to navigate a ride-on mower to trim the lawns of their sprawling country property. Later footage showed Ellen atop the stalled mower while an assistant pushed her up a hill. The former American talk show host and her wife Portia de Rossi moved from Southern California to the Cotswolds, England in November 2024 after they successfully flipped homes for several years in the US. Donald Trump's presidential re-election was said to have triggered their lifestyle change. Sources told TMZ The Ellen DeGeneres Show host and Arrested Development actress decided to 'get the hell out' of the US after Trump was victorious over Democrat nominee Kamala Harris last November. have reached out to DeGeneres' reps for comment.

Gabrielle Union 'can't afford' the career she'd like

Gabrielle Union "can't afford" to star in as many independent films as she'd like. The Bring It On actress - who has six-year-old daughter Kaavia with husband Dwyane Wade and is stepmother to his four children - doesn't have the "luxury" of complete creative freedom because she has to be mindful of how much money she brings in in order to look after her family, including her dementia-stricken father Sylvester Union. Speaking at the American Black Film Festival, People magazine reports she said: 'More recently, my father is in memory care. You know, nursing homes, what's covered by insurance, what's not, home health aids — like that all adds up and having to really be cognisant of an additional output, I have to go where the money goes. 'I don't have the luxury of taking all the independent films that I want because I can't afford to pay for my extended family in the way that they have grown accustomed to." Gabrielle, 51, believes many working actors these days need to have "multiple revenue streams" in order to supplement their income to afford more choice with their projects. She said: 'I have to factor in endorsements and brands and brand building. When you see celebrities have five to 11 jobs, there's a reason. 'We don't get paid what y'all think that we get paid, and that check is split so many ways. You have to have multiple revenue streams to do the job that you really love. So it kind of depends on what I've made that year on how creative I can be — and that's a damn shame, but that's reality.' Gabrielle previously spoke of her dad's struggle with dementia on his 80th birthday last October. She wrote on Instagram at the time: 'My Dad has dementia. He definitely thinks Dwyane is still playing for the Heat but otherwise remembers quite a bit. He remembers all the great times he spent in Hawaii, so we brought some Hawaii to my Dad. 'He remembers his love of Crown Royal and missing his friends and being able to just hang out and talk s***, so his friends showed up and showed out. 'What dementia has robbed him of, his heart and soul have recovered. When my Dad saw me, he said, 'I really love you.' And I said, 'I love you too Dad.' Then he replied, 'How's your Mom?' And with the gas face, I simply said, 'Sir.' He then asked if I was happy and I told him I was. He nodded and with a grin asked, 'You not taking no s*** are you?' And I said, 'Never.' "He told me he loved me again and that interaction stayed with me all day and made me pretty emotional. 'It all just reminds me to be a good, loyal friend, a great neighbor, prioritize your family, have a spirit of adventure and don't take no s***. And always show up and show love. Happy Birthday Dad! I love you [heart emoji] (sic).'
