Machine Gun Kelly Jokes He Got Bob Dylan to Do His Album Trailer Through ‘Pure Desperation'

Machine Gun Kelly has officially confirmed the obvious — that it was Bob Dylan narrating his recent album announcement trailer. But in Dylan-esque fashion, MGK declined to give a straight answer as to how the collaboration came about. When asked point blank about Dylan's cameo on Today, MGK quipped, 'A magician never reveals his secrets.' He then continued with something resembling an answer, but still clearly jokey: 'Pure desperation. Just knocking on his door relentlessly, not going away.' More from Rolling Stone Joan Baez on America Under Trump: 'It Feels Like Torn Fabric' Noted Machine Gun Kelly Fan Bob Dylan Narrated MGK's New Album Trailer Troubadour Eric Andersen on New Album and Why 'A Complete Unknown' Was a Tad 'Sugarcoated' That's not to say Machine Gun Kelly wasn't extremely grateful for Dylan's contribution to the Lost Americana trailer. 'I have been blessed with… I don't know, maybe it's just one pioneer seeing something that I am doing that, in the long term, will be looked back [at] and be understood,' MGK said, before quickly adding: 'Not calling myself a pioneer, but him.' Despite not knowing many specifics, it is possible to paint a pretty broad picture of the MGK-Dylan relationship. Earlier this year, Dylan, seemingly out of nowhere, posted on a video on Instagram of MGK rapping at a record store. One (very believable) theory as to how the singer-songwriter stumbled across the clip in the first place was floated by Dylan scholar Ray Padgett, who suggested on Bluesky, 'All because the dude has the same name as an old gangster Bob was googling.' Then in May, evidence emerged of an in-person meeting when MGK attended the Los Angeles stop of Willie Nelson's Outlaw Festival Tour, which Dylan is a part of. The day after the show, MGK tweeted not-so-cryptically, 'i met and had a conversation with someone last night that i never thought i'd get the honor to meet all because of a video of me rapping in a music store 10 years ago. i love music.' MGK released the Lost Americana trailer earlier this month. The clip features a montage of home movie-style footage, with Dylan delivering koans such as, 'Lost Americana is a personal excavation of the American dream — a journey to find what's been lost' and, 'From the gold neon diners to the rumble of the motorcycles, this is music that celebrates the beauty found in the in-between spaces. Where the past is reimagined and the future is forged on your own terms.' Lost Americana is set to arrive Aug. 8. The album marks MGK's first in three years following 2022's Mainstream Sellout. The musician has yet to reveal the full track list for the album, but it will feature his recent single, 'Cliché.' 'Transformers' actor Megan Fox, rapper Machine Gun Kelly announce daughter's unusual name

Rapper and music producer Machine Gun Kelly recently welcomed a baby girl with his then partner, actress Megan Fox. Via an Instagram post that MGK posted recently, he announced the name of his daughter. 'Saga Blade Fox-Baker, thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox (sic)," wrote MGK in the post. He also tagged Megan Fox in the caption and thanked her for the 'ultimate gift'. In the video, the musician can be seen playing a ukulele while swaying his daughter, Saga, in her little swing. Megan Fox welcomed Saga with MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, on March 27, 2025. This marked the first time the two have revealed their daughter's name. They announced their daughter's arrival with a post on Instagram with the caption, 'She's finally here!! our little celestial seed (sic).' Saga is Megan's fourth child and MGK's second. During his teenage years, MGK was in a relationship with Emma Cannon, with whom he shares a daughter, Casie, born in July 2009. Megan Fox, who was previously married to Brian Austin Green, has three children with him: Noah (12), Bodhi (11), and Journey (8). On the other hand, Brian Austin Green is engaged to dancer Sharna Burgess. They were introduced by mutual friends in 2020. In February 2022, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, and their son was born on June 28, 2022. In May 2020, MGK began dating actress Megan Fox after they met on the set of 'Midnight in the Switchgrass'. On January 12, 2022, Fox announced their engagement. However, in March 2024, she revealed that the engagement had been called off. As of now, the status of their relationship remains unclear.

The "Magnificent Seven" Stocks Could Help This Unstoppable Vanguard ETF Turn $200,000 Into $1 Million in Under 15 Years

The Magnificent Seven stocks have outperformed the S&P 500 index by a country mile over the past decade. The Magnificent Seven are fast becoming leaders in different areas of artificial intelligence (AI), which could fuel their future returns. The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF holds the Magnificent Seven stocks with some diversification, and it could soar fivefold within the next 15 years. 10 stocks we like better than Vanguard World Fund - Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF › In 2023, Wall Street analyst Michael Hartnett from Bank of America assigned a nickname to a group of seven of America's largest technology stocks -- not just for their size, but also their ability to consistently beat the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) index. He called this group the "Magnificent Seven," and they have delivered a median return of 886% over the last 10 years, compared to a return of 185% for the S&P: In other words, investors who haven't owned the Magnificent Seven stocks over the last decade have probably underperformed the broader market by a very wide margin. But here's the good news: The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (NYSEMKT: MGK) offers investors a simple way to buy them all, with a splash of diversification. It's an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that invests exclusively in America's largest companies, and the Magnificent Seven account for over half of the total value of its entire portfolio. Here's how the ETF could turn an investment of $200,000 into $1 million over the next 15 years (or less). The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF tracks the CRSP U.S. Mega Cap Growth Index, which invests in the top 70% of the cumulative market capitalization of the CRSP U.S. Total Market Index. The CRSP U.S. Total Market Index holds each of the 3,537 stocks listed on American exchanges. The U.S. Mega Cap Growth Index (and by extension, the Vanguard ETF) only holds 69 stocks, which highlights the incredible concentration of wealth in corporate America. To put it another way, just 69 companies represent 70% of the entire value of the 3,537 companies listed on American stock exchanges. It isn't entirely surprising considering the Magnificent Seven stocks have a combined market capitalization of $17 trillion, which they have accumulated by dominating various subsegments of the technology industry including cloud computing, semiconductors, e-commerce, social media, and electric vehicles. As a result, the Magnificent Seven stocks alone represent 56.3% of the total value of the Vanguard ETF's portfolio of 69 stocks: Stock Vanguard ETF Portfolio Weighting Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) 13.08% Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) 11.93% Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) 11.60% Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) 7.35% Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) 4.35% Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG)(NASDAQ: GOOGL) 4.15% Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) 3.85% Data source: Vanguard. Portfolio weightings are accurate as of May 31, 2025, and are subject to change. Each of the Magnificent Seven companies are now focused on artificial intelligence (AI), which could be their largest financial opportunity ever. Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet have created their own AI models and chatbots, but they also operate some of the world's best data centers, which they rent to other AI developers for profit. Even the smallest Magnificent Seven company, Tesla, is now a leading developer of AI-powered autonomous driving software. But it's Nvidia that has become the poster child for the AI revolution thanks to its graphics processing units (GPUs) for the data center, which are the most powerful chips for developing AI models. As I mentioned earlier, the Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF gives investors an opportunity to own the Magnificent Seven stocks in a more diversified manner than buying them outright. Within its top 20 holdings, investors will find several popular non-technology stocks like Visa, Eli Lilly, Costco Wholesale, McDonald's, and Intuit. The Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF has delivered a compound annual return of 13% since it was established in 2007, beating the S&P 500 which has generated an average annual gain of 10.1% over the same period. A 13% annual return would be enough to turn an investment of $200,000 into $1 million within around 13 years and three months. In fact, the ETF could still deliver a fivefold return within 15 years even if its annual return slowed to 11.3%. However, returns appear to be accelerating instead. The ETF has delivered an annual gain of 16.1% over the last 10 years, a 17.8% annual gain over the last five years, and a 20.7% annual gain over the last three years. The surging dominance of the Magnificent Seven stocks and their peers across the tech and tech-adjacent industries are the main drivers of those increased returns. I'm not suggesting they will remain at those elevated levels over the long run, but AI could certainly help the Vanguard ETF maintain its above-average performances for the next few years at least. Global consulting firm PwC predicts AI will add $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, and a lot of that value will be driven by the tech giants in this ETF. Nevertheless, it's never a good idea to put all of your eggs in one basket. This Vanguard ETF is a great buy primarily for investors with a diversified portfolio that has little or no exposure to the Magnificent Seven stocks already. Megan Fox & Machine Gun Kelly Reveal Their Newborn Daughter's Name — & It's Both Poetic & Edgy

With an actress and poet for a mom and a rockstar for a dad — who've admitted to drinking each other's blood — it's no surprise that Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's newborn daughter has an interesting name. The world has been anxiously awaiting to hear what moniker the exes gave their daughter, and now they've finally revealed it. Trust us: it was worth the wait! Baby Fox-Baker's official name is Saga Blade! 'Saga Blade Fox-Baker ❤️‍🔥 thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox,' MGK (born Colson Baker) wrote on Instagram today. He shared a video of himself playing the ukulele and bouncing his little girl in her bouncy seat as she giggles and coos at her dad. More from SheKnows Drew Scott & Linda Phan's Adorable New Videos of Parker & Piper Give Fans an Intimate Glimpse Into Their Sweet Family Time Saga is such a cool literary name, which means a detailed account of events about heroic deeds. Think: Lord of the Rings saga. It's definitely a name that predicts a lot of epic adventures, drama, and happily ever afters in her life. The middle name, Blade, is edgy and fierce. This name literally translates to 'wealthy glory' and brings to mind a strong and sharp sword. (Something you would definitely need on a saga.) It's also the name of the half-vampire, half man from the late '90s tv series Blade. Could this be a reference to her parents' one-time pastime? Either way, we are obsessed with this unique name! Saga Blade was born on March 27, which MGK revealed with a post on Instagram. 'she's finally here!! our little celestial seed 🥹💓♈️♓️♊️,' he wrote. Later, he shared an update on his Instagram story to clarify that was a cute nickname and not her actual name. 'Wait guys … her name isn't 'Celestial Seed,'' he wrote with a laughing emoji. This baby is Fox's first daughter (MGK shares daughter Casie, 15, with ex Emma Cannon). She also shares sons Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex Brian Austin Green. Green's wife Sharna Burgess, with whom he shares son Zane, 3, recently shared that Zane loves the new baby. 'Of course he's met her — that's his baby sister,' Burgess told PEOPLE earlier this month. 'They're deeply in love. She is the absolute cutest thing, and it's really beautiful.' It's nice to see the blended family is doing well and embracing baby Saga with open arms! Machine Gun Kelly sends fans into frenzy with sweet Megan Fox post

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly split up shortly before their daughter was born, but now fans reckon they've rekindled their romance after the Aussie's latest post on Instagram Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox's fans are convinced they're back together after welcoming their daughter into the world in March. The rapper, 35, and actress, 38, split up shortly before Megan gave birth amid rumours the mum-of-four found 'material, which was upsetting' on MGK's phone. Neither Megan or MGK have made any comment on the split, but the Aussie did praise the Transformers star in his latest Instagram post in which he revealed the name of the couple's daughter. Posting a video of himself playing the ukulele - wearing a pair of striking yellow trousers - in which the top of a baby bouncer can be seen, he told fans the tot, called Saga, had both his and Megan's surnames, with the caption: "Saga Blade Fox-Baker." An hours later, MGK updated the post to include an emotional shoutout to the Transformers star, writing: "Saga Blade Fox-Baker — thank you for the ultimate gift, @meganfox." ‌ ‌ Responding to the post, fans of the proud parents said they thought the couple had reunited as one replied: "This is so sweet! They're definitely back together" while another shared: "I think it's back on between them. I hope so!" Meanwhile, a third mused: "I reckon they're back together. I hope it lasts this time." Megan reportedly called it off with the Aussie star in December, almost three years on from their engagement after finding 'upsetting material' on his phone. They were said to be holidaying in Colorado when things blew up between them with MGK reportedly leaving their swanky hotel in Vail, according to TMZ. The pair kept a low profile until Megan gave birth in March, with sources confirmed they would be co-parenting their daughter. However, last month things seemed to be back on between the pair, as MGK left an awards show early to look after Megan, who was sick. ‌ In May, the rapper ditched the American Music Awards to support his former partner when she fell ill with "a little bit of a fever". In a rare update, MGK told reporters that he was going to walk the carpet and quickly head off to be with his family, before sweetly stating that it was his 'purpose' to be a dad. Speaking to E News on the red carpet, the Bloody Valentine singer said: 'She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna walk the carpet and go back, y'know, handle my business, give her my pheromones and let her heal up'. ‌ The on-off couple are said to have met properly for the first time in 2020 while both working on the film Midnight in the Switchgrass (2021), as reported by GQ magazine, after briefly meeting years earlier at a party. Megan said they "didn't hook up right away" after reconnecting on the film set, but went on to confirm her romance with MGK later that same year, after she appeared in the music video for his song, Bloody Valentine.
