Pierce Brosnan didn't give his sons Dylan and Paris acting advice as the trio starred together in The Unholy Trinity
Pierce Brosnan gave his sons "very little advice" as they worked together on the new movie The Unholy Trinity. The 72-year-old star is joined by his youngest boys Dylan, 28, and Paris, 24, - who he has with his wife Keely Shaye Smith - in the film and explained that he didn't want to overload the pair on their acting bows in the Western action flick. Pierce told People magazine: "I gave very little advice, and they asked me for very little advice. I think both men knew instinctively what to do: Show up on time, know your lines, and be brilliant. Be relaxed, and have fun, and go play." However, the former James Bond actor was less impressed by how untidy his sons were in the motor home they shared during the snowy production. Brosnan said: "It was winter, the snow was coming in, they didn't wipe their feet. Just the old common sense, 'Wipe your feet, take your boots off, for God's sake!' You know?" Pierce revealed how Dylan and Paris grew up on his movie sets as they travelled the world with their parents at the height of his movie career. The star - who also adopted his late wife Cassandra Harris' (who passed away aged 43 in 1991 from ovarian cancer) children Chris, 52, and Charlotte - who died from the same disease as her mother in 2013 at the age of 41 - recalled: "We always stayed together tight as a family during the days of James Bond. "(Dylan and Paris) have been on the road with me since they were tiny. Keely and I took them everywhere with us around the world." Paris explained that he and his brother's appearance in the movie "organically came about". He said: "It kind of naturally and organically came about. There were some little opening for us to get in there and dip our toes in the water." Dylan, meanwhile, wasn't concerned about how much screen time he got as he embraced the chance to act alongside his father and brother. He said: "It was just really nice to go spend time with Dad and Paris and be a part of that."

Kelsea Ballerini doesn't want exercise to be a 'punishment'
Kelsea Ballerini doesn't want exercise to "feel like a punishment". The 31-year-old singer's favourite way of keeping in shape is to go for a good long walk, but she also takes regular Pilates classes because she "doesn't hate" doing it as much as other formers of keeping fit. She told People magazine about her fitness routine: "For me, it's walks. Walking is so good for you. It also makes you get fresh air and some good sunshine, and that's so good for your mental health. "I'm a Pilates girly. That for me has been my tried and true the last five years because I don't hate doing it, and I don't want working out to feel like a punishment." When it comes to her diet, Kelsea follows an "80/20 rule". She explained: "So 80% of the time I'm really healthy, 20% of the time catch me at McDonald's. "My favourite thing to cook — I've been upping my protein a lot recently just because I didn't realise how much protein we're supposed to have as women— and I cook a really good chimichurri steak ... that is my go-to. "I'll do it a couple of times a week. I have some in the fridge downstairs ready to go." The Cowboys Cry Too singer loves an occasional treat meal from McDonalds, which she believes is a throwback to her childhood. She said: "As a kid, I was such a picky eater, and my parents joke with me, like, 'All you would eat were waffles and chicken nuggets.' So I think it's just probably my inner child craving it still." As she gets older, Kelsea's attitude to fitness has changed with her desire to be "360 healthy". She said: "I think especially in my early twenties and mid-twenties, the idea of fitness was very much only aesthetically driven, and that was my goal. "The older I've gotten, [the more] mentally healthier I've gotten as well... "I want to be mentally healthy. I want to be physically healthy, emotionally healthy, and I want to be able to sustain the life and the career that I've been lucky enough to build for myself... "It's the most important thing to me now, honestly."

Halsey saves videographer from pyrotechnics
Halsey intervened during her concert to save a videographer from getting burned. The Bad at Love hitmaker was performing in Pittsburgh on June 14 when she noticed the camera operative was in the path of upcoming pyrotechnics, and after her subtle hint failed to make the man move, she took more drastic measures. According to E! News, Halsey had mouthed "Get out of the way" to the videographer while singing Without Me, but when they failed to pick up her cue, she jumped up and rushed to show the man off the side of the stage before the flames shot out. Halsey told the videographer: "There's pyro coming! Move!" The 30-year-old singer then quickly ran back to the centre of the stage with a nervous laugh to carry on the song. This isn't the first time Halsey - who has three-year-old son Ender with former partner Alev Aydin and is engaged to Avan Jogia - has encountered a major mishap during a show. In 2021, everything "stopped working" during a concert at New York's Madison Square Garden. Halsey told The Late Late Show with James Corden: 'I was onstage, and everything stopped working. Sound, lights, video, music, the whole thing, my brain. 'Everything malfunctioned, and I had to stand on the stage for two minutes talking to the crowd. Two minutes in stage time is like a century.' The Gasoline singer eventually opted to start the whole performance again. She continued: 'When that happened to me, I just started my whole show over from the top, so that I could do the whole thing with no mistakes.' Halsey and Avan got engaged towards the end of last year and the 33-year-old actor recently spoke of how much he enjoys being able to "make art" with his fiancee. He told People magazine: "One of the great joys of being with someone who's an artist is being able to make art with them and to go back and forth about the art that they're making and how you can contribute and be helpful, and them being able to contribute and be helpful to your own art. "The only thing that I care about is the making of things. "So when you have someone who can meet you there and meet you where you're at, that's one of the joys of it, for sure. "If he busts through the door and has an idea, and I bust the door and have an idea, and it doesn't have to be about acting or music or movies — it could be a cookbook — we just make what we have to. "I think I'm happy to have found someone I can be matched with in that capacity."

Kate misses Royal Ascot for second year as she aims for right balance
The Princess of Wales missed Royal Ascot for the second successive year as she sought the right balance following her cancer treatment. Kate was said to have been disappointed not to join husband William and the King and Queen at the famous sporting and social event in Berkshire. The princess has been making a gradual return to public duties since it was announced in January she was in remission from cancer. Her appearances have increased in recent weeks and she has attended three high-profile events including Trooping the Colour, the annual Order of the Garter service and a visit to a V&A storage facility in London. But it is understood Kate is trying to find the right balance as she fully returns to public-facing engagements that have featured an element of flexibility since her cancer diagnosis. Kate's mother Carole Middleton was at Royal Ascot despite her daughter missing the event, and was photographed making her way through the racegoers with her daughter-in-law Alizee Thevenet, around the time it was announced the princess would not be attending. It is not clear when the princess took the decision not to join the royals at the races, but fans had been hoping to see Kate as William was one of the figures awarding prizes during the second day of the meeting. She was named among the guests joining Charles and Camilla in the traditional carriage procession, but a revised list was quickly issued after Kensington Palace confirmed she would not be attending. Kate also missed Royal Ascot last summer. The princess revealed in January she was in remission from cancer after making an emotional return to the specialist cancer institution, the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, London, where she was treated. She had been receiving chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer since late February last year, with the King beginning his cancer care earlier that month following his diagnosis after treatment for an enlarged prostate. Announcing in September her treatment had ended, Kate described in an emotional video message how the previous nine months had been 'incredibly tough for us as a family' and 'doing what I can to stay cancer-free is now my focus'. William later said in a separate interview how 2024 had been 'brutal'. The princess' measured return to royal duties was welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II's former communications secretary Ailsa Anderson. Speaking before Kate's withdrawal from Royal Ascot, she told the latest issue of People magazine: 'She's being sensible, listening to what her body is telling her and easing back into public life.' It is thought the princess is unlikely to make an appearance during the remaining days of the five-day racing meet – which ends on Saturday. Among the royals at the famous race course were the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Zara and Mike Tindall. William was pictured enjoying a drink in an open-air section of the royal box with Zara, and he later presented the prizes in the aptly named Prince of Wales's Stakes. Later Charles and Camilla watched from the royal box as another of their Royal Ascot hopefuls failed to win. Their horse Rainbows Edge, a favourite with the bookies, lost in the Kensington Palace Stakes. The late Queen was a passionate owner and breeder of thoroughbreds and had more than 20 Royal Ascot winners during her 70-year reign. Charles and Camilla have taken on her stable of horses and enjoyed their first Royal Ascot winner in 2023 when their horse Desert Hero triumph in the King George V Stakes.
