But now, the suggested 'right' portion size has been revealed, leaving people questioning everything they thought they knew about their favourite treat.
According to nutritionists, the recommended serving size is shockingly small – just 10 chips.
Social media users were quick to react to the revelation after TikTok user @
'I eat 10 chips while I'm plating up,' one person commented, while another joked, 'Mate, I shove 10 chips in my gob all at once.'

So, while the 'correct' portion size might technically be six - or ten - it seems most people are sticking to their own rules when it comes to enjoying this beloved snack.

The new weight loss medication, which can also be offered by injection, can help patients lose a significant amount of weight. But initial trials assessing a tablet form of the jab saw promising results with patients losing an average 13% of bodyweight in just three months. This suggests the drug leads to greater weight loss than Wegovy, the 'sister jab' of Ozempic. Such treatments have been called transformative by NHS leaders. But weight pills offer a new hope to millions looking to lose weight as the injections put additional pressure on an overstretched NHS. This could take several years and there's no guarantee that regulators will approve the use of the drug. It targets specific receptors in the body - the GLP-1 and amylin receptors - helping you feel full and stops overeating. An early trial published in The Lancet found that 125 adults taking weekly injections containing higher doses of the drug lost nearly a quarter of their body weight after 36 weeks. It also showed signs of improving blood sugar levels. Advertisement However, there were some mild to moderate side effects including nausea and vomiting but these were resolved by the end of the treatment. Experts said that the medicine appeared "safe and tolerable" but further studies were needed to fully assess the drug. But a second trial, also published in The Lancet, assessed the drug in tablet form in 144 people. Those taking the highest dose of 100mg lost 13% of their body weight over four months. Advertisement Weight Loss Jabs - Pros vs Cons The authors wrote: "Amycretin effectively lowered body weight and improved metabolic and glycaemic parameters in people who were overweight or obese. "Longer studies with more participants are warranted for evaluation of the safety and efficacy of amycretin in individuals living with obesity and type 2 diabetes, and to optimise the dosing regimen." As with the first trial, there were also some mild to moderate side effects including loss of appetite and similar gastrointestinal issues. It comes as a separate study examined the effects of the weight-loss jab, Wegovy, at higher doses. He said: 'We had Charlie Bird and Fr Tony Coote. They made such a difference as they got the nation talking, but they're not here anymore and no one has stepped in. 'And without that voice, that figure, the momentum is at risk of fading. 'We need someone new to carry the torch for awareness and to change how people treat this disease, how quickly you're diagnosed, how services work. 'That only happens when someone with a platform says, 'Enough.' When they say, 'This matters'.' It comes as Scotland rugby legend Logan takes part in a 555-mile cycle to raise funds for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, a charity committed to funding research to find effective treatments for motor neurone disease. ' The Argentinian is currently waiting for a hospice bed to provide some respite care. Before his diagnosis, he was a runner, cyclist, and, by his own admission, 'a talker'. MND has weakened his voice significantly, but he remains incredibly positive and determined to help others. He said: 'Awareness leads to dignity, funding, and change – from better access to public spaces to improved services and faster diagnosis, because otherwise, you lose time. And with MND, time is everything.' Logan's fundraising group stopped at the home clubs of Lions' legends throughout the country. Donna was holidaying with her husband Sidney and friends Paula and Nicolas Mason, also of Hull. The group had been enjoying a £1,500-per-couple all-inclusive trip when Donna fell ill. She developed a chest infection and needed lots of rest, and then became seriously ill two days later. Donna, who suffers from "complex" medical conditions including epilepsy, was taken to hospital on June 11 and doctors put her in an induced coma. Tests confirmed she had contracted Legionnaires' disease, which triggered acute respiratory failure and Her "devastated" family has flown out to be by her side.
