Blumhouse Drops First Poster For ‘Five Nights At Freddy's 2'

Blumhouse has dropped the first poster for the sequel to its box-office horror phenomenon Five Nights at Freddy's. The reveals were made Sunday night at the CCXP festival in Mexico City.
Based on the blockbuster game series, Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is directed by acclaimed returning filmmaker Emma Tammi. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is again produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon.

The highest-grossing horror film of 2023, its sequels plot hasn't been disclosed.
Shattering expectations in 2023 with a $300M worldwide gross, Five Night at Freddy's adapts Scott Cawthon's popular video game franchise of the same name and follows Mike (Josh Hutcherson), a troubled young man who reluctantly takes a job as a night security guard at an abandoned theme restaurant, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, hoping it will help him retain custody of his young sister. That fateful decision instead drags him into the black heart of a supernatural nightmare.
The film was one of several items that were unveiled at the festival Sunday including a new trailer and poster for the upcoming sequel to The Black Phone. Blumhouse Founder and CEO Jason Blum took the stage in Mexico City to mark the company's 15th anniversary and unveil a slate of updates, exclusive footage and surprise reveals.
James Wan, Atomic Monster CEO + Founder, was also in attendance and introduced the trailer for Blumhouse's big summer pic M3GAN 2.0, which bows on June 27.

Meanwhile, Gemma's niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma's overprotective rules. 'Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia's self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around. 'With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I bitch is about to meet her match.' James Wan is producing the film for Atomic Monster, Jason Blum for Blumhouse and Gerard Johnstoneis back to direct the next wild chapter of A.I. robot mayhem. Akela Cooper ( Malignant, M3GAN ) returned to write the script. The upcoming horror sequel co-stars returning cast members Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps as Gemma's loyal tech teammates, Cole and Tess, and new characters played by Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement. M3GAN 2.0 will be released in theaters on June 27, 2025.

Jon Bernthal to play Punisher again in next 'Spider-Man' adventure

Variety, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter reported the casting news Friday. The film is set to go into production this summer. Bernthal has played the Marvel comic-book vigilante Frank Castle/the Punisher in his own eponymous TV show, as well as the related shows Daredevil and Daredevil: Born Again. In addition to appearing in Spider-Man: Brand New Day opposite Tom Holland as the titular web-slinger, Bernthal will also play the Punisher in an as-yet-untitled special on Disney+ Both projects are set for release in 2026. Bernthal was also recently seen in The Accountant 2 and The Amateur.

St. Vincent Taps Mon Laferte for Spanglish Duet of ‘Violent Times'

Last year, St. Vincent reimagined her LP All Born Screaming in Spanish, releasing Todos Nacen Gritando in November. Now, she's bringing along the stunnning vocals of Mon Laferte to add a twist to the en español version of 'Violent Times,' or 'Tiempos Violentos.' 'When I first heard the Spanish version, I felt a deep attraction,' Mon Laferte says of the song. 'It was beautiful and haunting. I wanted to give it my own voice, make it my own too, and do it alongside an artist I've long admired.' Todos Nacen Gritando heard St. Vincent recreate all 10 songs form her original album, but in Spanish, including songs such as 'Hell Is Near' and 'Big Time Nothing,' which she translated to 'El Infierno Está Cerca' and 'El Mero Cero.' I have had some of my favorite shows of my life in Spanish-speaking countries, and I'm always kind of blown away by the fact that people will sing along with my songs in perfect English, and that it could be their second or third or fourth language,' St. Vincent told Rolling Stone last year. 'I've always loved Spanish and wanted to be better at it, frankly. So this was a double whammy where I could get better at the language that I love and also meet people halfway.'
