Iconic WWE star's twins, 15, are being 'groomed for family business'

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is well versed in training the stars of the future, and his teenage kids could be next.
The 60-year-old retired wrestler and current NXT commentator is a mentor on US network A&E's LFG reality show – which returns for a second season this weekend – and it's no surprised his 15-year-old twins are primed to follow in his footsteps.
He exclusively told Metro: 'Never say never. My son, he loves professional wrestling. My daughter, she's very, very athletic. I never knew what I was going to do until I got into it, you know?'
However, Booker – whose wife is fellow WWE Hall of Famer Sharmell – admitted he might be happier if they work behind the scenes instead, taking over his Reality of Wrestling promotion.
'I'm grooming them to be able to take over the business one day,' he said. 'From a behind the scenes perspective. That's where the money is! Less bumps as well [laughs]. No man, never say never!'
If the twins did decided to get into wrestling, they'd have the best coach, with Booker having trained rising star Roxanne Perez, while there have been plans for him to work with Travis Scott to help him prepare for an eventual match.
However, there's no one-size-fits-all approach to teaching someone the ropes.
'The first time I got in the ring, it was like deja vu. It seemed like I had been in the ring my whole life,' he recalled. 'Being in the business for 35 years, I got so much like wasted knowledge in my head, I could just pull it up, boom.
'I expect for them to be able to do it as well, and it's just not like that. Everybody is so different as far as the learning curve… When I teach it, I try to have so many different philosophies.'
For WWE LFG (Legends & Future Greats), that variety is on full display as Booker joins Bubba Ray Dudley, The Undertaker and Michelle McCool on the panel for the second season in search of WWE's next megastars.
Last series, Bubba Ray clashed with his loudmouthed protege BJ Ray, who showed a lot of fire and overconfident.
'It might work out for them on the show, but it's not going to work out in the long run,' Booker said, arguing the need for 'great matches' as well as a strong personality.
He added: 'If you can figure that out – BJ Ray, he might have a chance, but if he doesn't figure that part out, he has no chance in hell of making it in this business.'
Booker knows his stuff, as his protege Jasper Troy was the men's winner, and has already impressed in the ring with NXT Champion Oba Femi.
'I hate to use the old cliche from from Rocky Balboa, but he had that 'eye of the tiger,'' the veteran chuckled. 'He took it very, very serious. And that's what a lot of these guys don't do.'
He explained: 'They're not looking at it like this could be a lifetime job… [or a] once a lifetime opportunity… But Jasper, I'm so proud of that kid.'
That's not to say Booker doesn't embrace the larger than life characters, as he noted how the theatrics are the beating heart of the business.
'I'm always performing. It's Shakespeare, it's Romeo and Juliet, it's Phantom of the Opera,' he smiled. 'That's I think about when I think about professional wrestling.'
That drama will certainly shine through on the new season of LFG – which is only available in the US, with clips being shared on X worldwide, and the winners already appearing on weekly NXT TV.
What can fans expect?
'A lot more drama,' he laughed. 'We're trying to work with these young guys and get them where we need them to be. It's not as easy as one would think.'
He added: 'The physical side is is relatively easy, but the mental side of the business is very, very taxing. And I think you guys will see a lot of lot of that this season.'

He recalled with a smile: 'He said, 'Kid, you got a lot of talent, but you're going to come up against a lot of obstacles in this business.' And I think he was talking about me being a young black man in the business.
'He didn't say that, but he said, 'You got to figure out a way to go over, around, under, and sometimes you have to go straight through those obstacles.'
'Wow. That was the best advice I've ever could have gotten as a young kid getting into this business.'

Gordon Ramsay reveals moment he 'collapsed' while holding his son for the first
Gordon Ramsay has opened up about the alarming moment he fainted during the birth of his fifth child, Oscar. The TV chef, 58, recalled the scary moment with a few chuckles in hindsight while appearing on a recent podcast. The Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares star was not present in the delivery room for the arrival of his first four children – Megan, 26, twins Jack and Holly, 25, and Tilly, 23 – at the request of his wife Tana, 50. 'Let's make one thing absolutely clear, my wife didn't want me in there,' Gordon explained on SmartLess podcast. 'First of all, [Tana] said, 'I want my mum and your mum in there, you're not going to see me in that state, that side of the curtain, get out of there.' That was her decision and I had to respect that decision. Talking about the arrival of Oscar in 2019, Gordon said: 'When I did finally arrive in the theatre for our fifth baby I collapsed like a wimp! I blacked out holding Oscar in the air.' Gordon explained how Oscar arrived via C-section – or 'through the sunroof,as he put it. The TV chef was then asked what song he wanted to listen to. 'There was a lot of commotion going on,' Gordon recalled, 'I said, 'Can you play Ed Sheeran?' so they started playing Ed. They turned up the volume. 'I saw two more doctors dive in, I looked on the floor and there was blood everywhere. All of a sudden they popped him out and they came straight over to me and I went, 'Wow, wow, wow!' The pair kept Tana's pregnancy with Jesse tightly under wraps until his arrival, with the mum-of-six taking to social media after he was born revealing they'd endured a 'nerve-wracking 9 months'. She also added: 'Ramsay family complete.' Talking on the Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast in 2024, Tana opened up about Gordon's lack of presence in the delivery room. 'He would've gotten all squeamish and probably fainted and all the attention would've been on him, and this is my moment,' she said, mirroring Gordon's story hilariously closely. Claudia Winkleman 'eternally grateful' after undergoing surgery
Claudia Winkleman has undergone eye surgery, she has revealed. The Traitors host, 53, has taken to social media to thank her eye surgeon for operating on her today. 'This amazing human makes me see. He's operated on my eyes before and he did it again today,' she said on Instagram, alongside a picture of her next to Dr Julian Stevens. 'No eyeliner for weeks and I sleep in googles (no words) but I'm eternally grateful,' she added. 'Do NOT zoom in on my left eye – it's wonky. Thank you Julian. I paid for the treatment, this isn't an ad. I just love him. It's very possible I'm still a bit sedated. Night night.' The Strictly presenter's comments section was flooded with support from well-wishers, as follower Suzanne Robinson said: 'Get well soon.' 'Love you !! Hope you feel better. Amazing man,' said ava_xoox while gurcharan_davany added: 'Speedy recovery eyeliner queen.' While it's not clear why Claudia underwent the surgery this time, she's previously been open about suffering with severe short-sightedness, which means she can't see objects far away. Speaking on the How To Fail podcast in 2023 about how she doesn't take too much notice of her appearance, Claudia explained: 'I was born, I think with minus 15 [eyes], so I've never really been able to see my face. It's all guesswork.' Claudia – who is known for her iconic long fringe – went on to say she's had operations because she was 'banging into walls' and she now wears lenses and glasses. However, despite laser eye surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Claudia found her vision was still blurry. Finding lightness in her eye issues – and acknowledging her trademark black eyeliner – Claudia said: 'Often when the kids have been playing with my phone with the camera switched round and I have to call somebody or I'm making a call, I'm like 'I don't understand why Ozzy Osbourne..I didn't even invite him round', and then I'm like, 'Ah, it's me.' More Trending Earlier this year, Claudia also touched on her condition on Gabby Logan's The Mid Point podcast. 'I've had so many operations on my eyes. I had a lens replacement in my left eye because my astigmatism was so bad I was minus 16, but that was 14 years ago,' she said. Claudia explained how she then became long-sighted: 'Then I had a little fiddle with but because I was so short sighted by then fixing it I'm now long sighted so I can't really read any more.
