Meanwhile, one of the exciting facets of football players making it to the NFL is seeing themselves as a playable character in the popular Madden NFL game. The numerical ratings assigned to each player in the game often become hot debates as players agree or disagree, and look to improve.
Hunter will appear in the upcoming game, but the rookie wide receiver has what some might consider a subpar rating. However, the former Jackson State and Colorado star's reaction is the sort of response Jaguars fans are likely to eat right up before his season officially begins.

According to SI's Ben Armendariz, Hunter said he's unconcerned about debuting with a 76 in the video game. With a big smile, he said he's more interested in focusing on the real game.

Although he's unfazed by the initial Madden rating he received, the good news is that number can improve throughout his rookie season. All players are regularly monitored by individuals who help determine whether their ratings rise or fall.
For comparison, Madden NFL 25's highest-rated rookies were Marvin Harrison Jr. and Joe Alt. Both players debuted in the video game with 79, so Hunter isn't far off from them whatsoever.
Jacksonville's rookie receiver is already entering the league with some lofty expectations, as the Jaguars traded up to the No. 2 spot in the NFL Draft to get him. As Travis Hunter shows what he's truly capable of on the field, it shouldn't be long before his skills and stats boost those Madden ratings even higher.

Chicago Sky Make Angel Reese Announcement After Eighth Loss

Chicago Sky Make Angel Reese Announcement After Eighth Loss originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been playing her best basketball of the 2025 WNBA season in recent games. Over her last four contests, the 6-foot-3 forward is averaging 14.3 points, 10.8 rebounds and 5.5 assists. This includes her first career WNBA triple-double in a win over the Connecticut Sun. Advertisement Unfortunately for Reese and her team, the Sky currently sit near the bottom of the standings with a 3-8 record. Missing the playoffs last season, and owning the worst record in the Eastern Conference, Chicago was hoping for more success this year after some offseason changes. While that has not taken place, there is reason for optimism, particularly with the recent play of Reese. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese (5).Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Heading into a game with the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday, the Sky made an announcement on their star sophomore. Per the team, Reese has officially been named Chicago's Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. This is a team-given honor, and one that was accompanied with a message on X. Advertisement "back-to-back," the Sky wrote. "Angel Reese is our Magellan Player of the Week for the second week in a row 😮‍💨" Reese has dominated these team-specific awards this season, winning several Player of the Game honors, and now taking home Player of the Week for the second straight week. On Friday, the WNBA announced the first voting returns for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game, and Reese was 13th in the league with over 173,000 votes. While this may be a bit lower than fans were expecting, it still puts her in position to make the All-Star team for a second straight year. Reese's recent play has only strengthened her All-Star case, and she will look to keep that going on Saturday against Phoenix Advertisement Related: WNBA Fans In Disbelief After Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark News on Friday This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 20, 2025, where it first appeared.

Bills' Michael Hoecht: Super Bowl title would mean 'everything' to him

In little surprise, Michael Hoecht gets it. The pass rusher signed with the Buffalo Bills during free agency this offseason. He does have to face a suspension early on next season, but Hoecht is going to be chomping at the bit to get his Bills career going. Advertisement That's because Hoecht completely understands what the Bills and a potential Super Bowl means to Buffalo. Despite already having won a Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, it sounds like one with the Bills would be even bigger for Hoecht. That's because Hoecht is a close local to western New York as an Oakville, Ontario, native. Hoecht said during minicamp that bringing a title to Buffalo would be a massive achievement and credited Bills Mafia as his reason why a Super Bowl win would mean so much. Hoecht's explanation can be found in the clip below: This article originally appeared on Bills Wire: Bills' Michael Hoecht: Super Bowl title would mean 'everything' to him

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams takes harsh jab at Packers fans

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams didn't mince words when talking about Green Bay Packers fans at Fanatics on Friday. Williams, 23, was asked which team's fans he has had the most negative experiences with, and the Bears quarterback was quick to point to the fanbase of the Bears' biggest rival. "Probably Green Bay," Williams said. "I mean, they suck. After the game, after we won at Lambeau — 1-0 at Lambeau — we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were." "[Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it's a real leap. It's not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they're pushing you, pushing your face." The Bears last season started the season 4-2, and then they proceeded to lose their next 10 games. They snapped the losing streak in Week 18 against the Packers in Lambeau Field. Williams was efficient in the win, as he was 21 of 29 passing with 148 yards with a touchdown pass. Despite the Bears' struggles last season, Williams's play has given Bears' fans hope that he might be the franchise quarterback they have desperately yearned for. After being selected with the No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC, Williams started all 17 games while he completed 62.5% of his passes for 3,541 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. The first time the Bears play the Packers next season and deal with their fans will be at Lambeau Field on Dec. 7, and then the Bears will host the Packers just two weeks later on Dec. 20.
