Bears quarterback Caleb Williams takes harsh jab at Packers fans
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams didn't mince words when talking about Green Bay Packers fans at Fanatics on Friday.
Williams, 23, was asked which team's fans he has had the most negative experiences with, and the Bears quarterback was quick to point to the fanbase of the Bears' biggest rival.
"Probably Green Bay," Williams said. "I mean, they suck. After the game, after we won at Lambeau — 1-0 at Lambeau — we tried to do the Lambeau Leap, tried to jump into the crowd where our fans were."
"[Packers fans] just started throwing everything at you, push you off. The Lambeau Leap, it's a real leap. It's not a little baby jump, you actually have to high jump, basically. And they're pushing you, pushing your face."
The Bears last season started the season 4-2, and then they proceeded to lose their next 10 games. They snapped the losing streak in Week 18 against the Packers in Lambeau Field.
Williams was efficient in the win, as he was 21 of 29 passing with 148 yards with a touchdown pass.
Despite the Bears' struggles last season, Williams's play has given Bears' fans hope that he might be the franchise quarterback they have desperately yearned for.
After being selected with the No. 1 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC, Williams started all 17 games while he completed 62.5% of his passes for 3,541 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions.
The first time the Bears play the Packers next season and deal with their fans will be at Lambeau Field on Dec. 7, and then the Bears will host the Packers just two weeks later on Dec. 20.

Devers homers against his former team as Giants beat Red Sox 3-2
Rafael Devers hit his first home run for San Francisco against his former team on Saturday, and the Giants beat the Boston Red Sox 3-2 just six days after the big trade between the teams. Devers was acquired from Boston on Sunday. He delivered his first long ball for the Giants in the third inning on Saturday after he went hitless in his first six at-bats in the series. Devers sent an opposite-field drive off Brayan Bello (3-2) over the left-field fence for a two-run shot that happened to be caught by a fan in a Red Sox T-shirt. Devers got loud cheers from the big crowd in San Francisco as he rounded the bases for his 216th career home run that gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead. Devers was traded by Boston less than two years into a 10-year, $313.5 million contract extension that he signed in 2023. Heliot Ramos also homered for the Giants, who won for just the second time in their last seven games. Landen Roupp (5-5) bounced back from a rough start last Saturday against the Dodgers, throwing six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win. Camilo Doval allowed two runs in the ninth before getting his 12th save in 15 chances. Boston had won seven of the last eight games. Key moment Boston scored twice in the ninth against Doval and had the tying run on second base with one out. But Doval got Marcelo Mayer and pinch-hitter Romy Gonzalez on groundouts to end the game. Key stat Devers became the 10th player to homer for and against the same team in a seven-day span, according to Sportradar. The last player to do it was Abraham Toro, who homered for Houston against Seattle on July 26, 2021, and then for the Mariners against the Astros the next day. Up next RHP Luis Giolito (3-1, 3.74 ERA) will start for Boston against LHP Robbie Ray (8-2, 2.68 ERA).

Seager has tiebreaking RBI single, Rocker gets 2nd straight win as Rangers beat Pirates 3-2
Corey Seager singled in the tiebreaking run in the sixth inning and rookie Kumar Rocker won his second straight start and the Texas Rangers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-2 on Saturday. Seager's sharp single to center field scored Josh Smith and put the Rangers ahead 2-1. Marcus Semien followed with a sacrifice fly. Rocker (3-4) gave up two runs and five hits in 5 1/3 innings after pitching five scoreless innings against the Chicago White Sox in his previous start last Sunday. The Rangers have won the first two games of the series and will try to finish the sweep on Sunday. Mitch Keller (1-10) took his 10th consecutive loss, allowing three runs and three hits in 5 2/3 innings. He was lifted after Semien's sacrifice fly. Keller hasn't won since beating Miami on March 28 in his first start of the season. The Pirates lost for the sixth time in seven games. Pittsburgh closed to 3-2 in the sixth on Henry Davis' run-scoring grounder, but Texas held on. Shawn Armstrong, Hoby Milner and Chris Martin combined for 3 2/3 scoreless innings of relief, with Martin getting the last three outs for his second save. Rangers first baseman Jake Burger (strained left oblique) was placed on the 10-day injured list before the game and center fielder Wyatt Langford (back spasms) sat out a second straight day.
