Diego Leon could be loaned out this summer after Ruben Amorim assesses him in pre-season
Manchester United are set to welcome Diego Leon to the club on July 1 after agreeing a deal for the fullback back in January.
But his immediate future could lie away from Old Trafford if Manchester World are to be believed, who have claimed that the Paraguayan might be loaned out in the same window.

United's initial plan is to assess what the Cerro Porteño starlet is capable of, with Ruben Amorim primed to pick him for the pre-season games as well as the Summer Series in the United States.
With Harry Amass and Patrick Dorgu ahead of the 18-year-old in the pecking order, going out on loan to another INEOS-owned club like FC Lausanne Sport has not been ruled out.
Diego Leon could be loaned out
'Manchester United will take a look at Diego Leon during their summer schedule before a final decision is made on his immediate future.
'The 18-year-old will likely feature in their first pre-season friendly fixtures and could even be named in the squad that travels to the United States for the Premier League Summer Series.

'A summer loan exit has not been entirely ruled out, though club sources have reiterated the teenager will need time to adapt in his new surroundings.'
The Paraguay U20 international is in the same boat Sekou Kone found himself in, when he joined last summer from Guidars FC.
Staying with the Academy would be a huge help
The Malian was kept in the reserves, where he played regularly and impressed as the all-action defensive midfielder as well as in an advanced role, while also training with the first-team off and on. He will leave on loan to Lausanne this summer.
And like Kone, it would be best if Diego Leon also spends time in the Academy in his first season, learning the language and getting acclimatized to his new surroundings.

Leon was signed for an initial fee in the region of £3.2 million, with add-ons potentially taking the total tally to as much as £7 million.
Under INEOS, United have been increasingly focusing on academy recruitment with the South American market once again of interest to the club.

Manchester United enquire about Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku
Christopher Nkunku (27) is expected to leave Chelsea this summer, however, he may not be leaving the Premier League. Nkunku, initially through injury, has struggled to establish himself at Stamford Bridge since his big-money move from RB Leipzig. Last season, he featured sparingly under Enzo Maresca, who often opted to play the Frenchman in the UEFA Europa Conference League. Despite travelling with the Blues to the USA for the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup, it is thought that the former Paris Saint-Germain forward will be on the move. Advertisement Manchester United could be willing to welcome Nkunku to Old Trafford, according to a report from L'Équipe. The Red Devils missed out on securing any form of European football for next season, but they are looking to invest heavily this summer. Matheus Cunha has already arrived, but two more forwards are sought after. They have, therefore, contacted Nkunku's entourage, although no bid has yet been submitted for the Frenchman. L'Équipe cite interest from other unnamed clubs, none of which are engaged in serious negotiations. GFFN | Luke Entwistle

'It seems Garnacho has checked out'
Alejandro Garnacho is still a Manchester United player but it seems he has checked out of life at Old Trafford. Maybe his attitude is understandable given Ruben Amorim told him before the final Premier League game of the season he could find himself another club. Advertisement Garnacho did not appear particularly engaged during the post-season trip to Malaysia and Hong Kong and has now decided it is a good idea to allow the public to see a picture of him wearing a shirt of a rival club – albeit with the name of team-mate – and fellow Amorim outcast – Marcus Rashford – on the back. The 20-year-old presumably thinks his bridges are already burned as far as Amorim and United are concerned but it won't make it easier to sell him. Former club Atletico Madrid have been mentioned as one potential destination, although their current focus is on salvaging their Club World Cup campaign, as have Chelsea, although they are keen on Borussia Dortmund's Jamie Gittens. It is another couple of weeks until United return for pre-season training but it is hard to see Garnacho playing any meaningful part in that. With the Argentine, Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony, Amorim could find himself with his own version of Chelsea's 'bomb squad', a very expensive, well-paid group of players he has no use for.

Why Goldbridge Believes Rashford and Garnacho Must Leave Manchester United
Rashford, Garnacho and Manchester United: Why Goldbridge Says It's Time to Cut Ties Fractured Relationships Cannot Be Repaired In a passionate and unsparing monologue on The United Stand, Mark Goldbridge lays bare the latest controversy surrounding Manchester United. The discussion, which centres on Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, was framed around one urgent question: Should either player ever wear the United shirt again? For Goldbridge, the answer is a definitive no. Advertisement 'There isn't a way back,' he declares of Garnacho, citing the young winger's now infamous appearance in an Aston Villa shirt, complete with Rashford's name on the back. 'He's behaved like an immature little child and it's not our job to keep trying to make him grow up.' The situation has become a flashpoint, highlighting Manchester United's ongoing internal conflicts, particularly as new manager Rúben Amorim seeks to stamp his authority. Rashford, meanwhile, has publicly flirted with Barcelona. 'Marcus Rashford is basically saying, 'I haven't got a future at Man United. Rúben Amorim's made that very, very clear and I'd love to play for Barcelona',' Goldbridge quotes directly. Goldbridge's Verdict: Move On and Rebuild Goldbridge repeatedly argues that Manchester United must show resolve. 'They have to part ways. So no, I wouldn't take him back,' he insists about Rashford. The rationale is not just about current tensions, but about forward momentum. 'It would be a statement of backward thinking,' he adds. 'We've just had our worst ever Premier League season.' Advertisement Citing Amorim's past management style at Sporting CP, Goldbridge points out: 'He will remove you and he won't change his mind.' That, he says, applies equally to Rashford. Even if the club hierarchy were tempted to arrange a reconciliation, Goldbridge believes it would reflect weak leadership. 'It makes him look weak when he publicly says a player is not good enough and then brings him back.' What the Rashford and Garnacho Situations Symbolise More than individual personalities, the Rashford and Garnacho sagas represent deeper cultural failings. 'We've created monsters in the sense that footballers are almost bigger than football clubs,' laments Goldbridge. He points to the massive social media followings of both players, warning of the damaging influence of 'Player FC' culture and branding over collective club values. He is unsparing in his critique: 'What we need to stop is the brandified point scoring to try and win the argument.' For Goldbridge, Garnacho and Rashford, like Jadon Sancho before them, have become distractions that Manchester United can no longer afford. Amorim Must Be Backed, Not Undermined Throughout the podcast, Goldbridge is unwavering in his support for Amorim. 'Manchester United need to react like a football club that's got a set of balls and a backbone.' His concern is not just with personalities, but with long-term strategy. He criticises the club's passivity and slow decision-making: 'Rashford's trying to get the move he wants. Man United are silent, slow.' Advertisement He also brings in former manager Ralf Rangnick's words to reinforce his case: 'I don't know who does what at that football club.' That lack of clear decision-making, Goldbridge argues, has made Manchester United ill-equipped to handle modern player power. Ultimately, Goldbridge offers a pragmatic solution: 'If all you can get is 35 million for Garnacho, you take the 35 million. Whether he's worth 60 or not, circumstances dictate that he's not.' In a summer defined by change, Goldbridge's message is clear: Manchester United must embrace the clean break. 'They need to move on and we need to move on,' he concludes. 'We can't just keep going around this.'
