Man orders pint in Benidorm and is shocked when he hears the price
Brits in search of an affordable holiday with a vibrant atmosphere are flocking to Benidorm, a resort where the nightlife sparkles and drinks flow until the sun comes up – making it an absolute magnet for stag dos.
But just how budget-friendly are the pints in this Spanish haven?
Graham White, also known as Benidorm Grumet among his almost 60K TikTok followers, couldn't believe his eyes when he discovered a pint going for less than a cuppa. At a certain spot, a humble brew costs £1.66, yet Graham found himself ordering a pint of beer for a mere 83p – a price that would have Brits doing a double-take back home, reports the Express.
The 48-year-old social media sensation took to TikTok to share his bargain-hunting adventure. In the video, Graham gives viewers a tour of the pub's ambience and introduces the staff and clientele before putting the barmaid on the spot: 'How much is it for a pint of Estrella?'

'One euro, one euro for a pint,' she declared, an offer too good for Graham to pass up. He then questioned the price of a brew and found out it was exactly twice the cost of a pint, at two euros.
While some of his fans were amazed, others doubted the authenticity of such a deal. 'People called me a liar and said there was no place in Benidorm where you can get a one-euro pint. So I went in and got one,' Graham claimed, silencing the critics by showing them it's the real deal. Read More The White Lotus Thailand hotels you can actually stay at
Dubbed as the 'cheapest bar in Benidorm,' one patron couldn't hide their surprise at the bargain prices, stating it was 'double [the price] for a cup of tea.'
With the average pint in London costing a hefty £6.50 according to Finder.com, and the UK-wide average not far off at £5.44, holidaymakers might find themselves getting merry for a fraction of the price after touching down in sunny Benidorm. The post quickly sparked a flurry of comments, with some wittily asking, 'Why would you bother with anything else?' Another chimed in to praise Benidorm's economy, labelling it 'cheap as chips' compared to numerous other tourist traps.
The response didn't stop there – someone bemoaned, 'Love the price, pity I don't drink.' Another recent visitor couldn't wait to share, 'Went here yesterday, the food is ace as well.'
Further reactions included kudos like 'Bargain of the day' and another declaring, 'May as well get the pints in!'.

Woman Drops Out of Family Wedding and Instead Considers Giving $600, but Many Argue the Sum Is Too Much: 'That's Nuts'
A Mumsnet user has to back out of her relative's upcoming wedding because her child has a doctor's appointment She and her husband are considering paying the couple over $600 as a wedding gift Users felt the amount was far too much and suggested lower pricesA woman wants to give her relative a financial gift for a wedding she's no longer attending, but people fear that she is being overly generous. In a post on the popular U.K. forum Mumsnet, the woman detailed how a relative of hers is getting married 200 miles away on a weekday in a couple of weeks. She and her family planned to attend, but those plans have now changed. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! 'We had taken annual leave to be there and booked a hotel for the night before. Unfortunately we can no longer make it,' she explained, adding that her 2-year-old child now has a doctor's appointment on that date. The woman learned from her mother that the plates for the wedding cost $169 per person; now she's concerned that she needs to pay for her child's absence as well. She and her husband discussed giving over $600 and wanted feedback on whether this amount would be 'reasonable and would cover the cost of our absence and a good amount surplus as a gift?' 'We are not especially close to the relative and might see them once a year at a family event and I will usually send a a new year's/birthday message (and the relative will reply but never initiate),' the poster added. 'However we are very closely related (not parents or siblings but aunt/uncle/first cousin degree relations).' Users on the forum felt the generosity of the gift was far too much. 'That is an insanely large amount,' a commentator said. 'Wedding gifts are not based on how much the couple are paying for their wedding. That's an incredibly crass and unpleasant way to decide how much you are giving as a gift. You don't have to change how much your gift is because you are no longer going.' NEWS OF THE WEEK: Court rejects Ed Sheeran Thinking Out Loud copyright case
A minority owner of a Marvin Gaye song has tried tirelessly to sue Sheeran over the alleged similarities between Sheeran's hit and Let's Get It On, but the High Court has refused to accept the lawsuit. "No reasonable jury could find that the two songs, taken as a whole, are substantially similar in light of their dissimilar melodies and lyrics," the judge declared, as reported by USA Today. Back in November, the High Court found that Sheeran did not infringe on Gaye's copyright, citing that the songs share only the "fundamental musical building blocks".
