Abbie Chatfield hits back at troll who calls her mentally unwell and says she needs medication
Abbie Chatfield has taken to social media to slam a troll who claims the high-profile influencer is mentally 'unwell'.
The 29-year-old Bachelor star shared the vile slur to her stories on Tuesday and did not censor her attackers name or image.
'I suggest you ask you doctor to write you a prescription for [antipsychotic medication] Seroquel - you appear to be an emotional wreck,' the person began.
'Watching you on television crying and ranting about nothing,' they continued, adding, 'mental illness is questionable perhaps [sedative] Xanax and intensive therapy would help.'
Abbie, who has been applauded by fans for her courageous and her raw posts shared the appalling comments and added her clapback.

'Easiest way to discredit a woman who cares about social/political issues is to say she's mentally unwell Imao,' the outspoken social media star said.
It comes after Abbie recently hit back at critics who dismiss her success as an 'influencer', insisting it takes more than a pretty face and a few selfies to build a loyal following.
Abbie opened up about the criticism with Stellar magazine about the work that goes into her career and her blossoming romance with DJ boyfriend Adam Hyde.
The It's A Lot podcast host said she's tired of the term 'influencer' being used to discredit powerful women online.
'Why do we have to work ourselves to the bone to prove that we're worthy of having a platform or having a voice?' she said, adding that the content creation industry is far more demanding than it appears.
She also slammed the suggestion that influencing isn't a real job, revealing that the Australian Tax Office would beg to differ.
'The ATO thinks it is – they're on my back all the time,' she quipped.
Abbie explained that while male public figures are celebrated for juggling multiple careers, women are often seen as 'inept' if they attempt the same.
She cited high-profile business figures are never labelled influencers despite having similar public platforms.
The TV personality also opened up about her relationship with Peking Duk star Adam Hyde, revealing the couple recently moved in together after dating for over a year.
Calling the romance 'healthy' and 'genuinely beneficial,' she said it's changed her entire outlook on love and what she wants in a partner.
'If I was going to get married and have kids with anyone, it would be Adam,' she shared.
Reflecting on her past, Abbie admitted she now recognises how unhealthy some of her previous relationships were – and that being with Adam has set a new standard.
'I either need to be alone or be with Adam,' she declared. 'Those are kind of my two options at this point.'
The media star turns 30 this month and said she feels empowered by ageing, not scared.
She's excited about what her next chapter holds - both personally and professionally.
Elsewhere in the interview, Abbie addressed her public fallout with feminist writer Clementine Ford, saying the experience was deeply hurtful.
The feud began after Ford accused her of profiting from performative political engagement and criticised her interview with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Abbie responded on social media, which triggered a wave of backlash from right-wing commentators who reduced the clash to a 'catfight' between feminists.
While Abbie didn't blame Ford directly for that reaction, she suggested Ford should have considered how her comments might fuel sexist narratives.
Abbie also noted she has often held back from criticising other women publicly to avoid similar outcomes.

Swimmers' annual nude plunge into chilly Tasmanian river marks the winter solstice – and Dark Mofo's revival
Swimmers have stripped off and raced into chilly waters on the shortest day of the year. Wearing nothing but red swim caps, 3,000 courageous souls took the annual nude sunrise plunge into Hobart's River Derwent to mark the winter solstice. The air temperature was about 10C as the naked pack took to the water at 7.40am on Saturday, sparking shrieks and yells of anguish. Liz Cannard, who has been travelling around Tasmania for nearly four months with her husband, said she was petrified before taking the dip. 'I'm not a strong swimmer and I don't take my gear off for anybody ... so I've ticked off a couple of things today,' the Geelong resident said. Lizzy Nash from Sydney was also in the mood for a bit of carpe diem. 'It's about seizing the moment, seizing life and being inspired,' she said. 'This is the sort of thing that motivates you to want to do more and challenge yourself. It was awe-inspiring and I absolutely loved it.' The free swim is part of the Dark Mofo festival and started with just a few hundred participants in 2013. Melburnian Belinda Chambers said she had been watching people do it on television for years and decided to work remotely from Tasmania for the festival so she could stay and leave on a high. 'So exhilarating,' she said. 'I was nervous, but there was this almost primal moment of everyone being together that carries you along, and a sense of pure happiness.' Sign up to Breaking News Australia Get the most important news as it breaks after newsletter promotion Dark Mofo has returned to its full pomp in 2025, after running a reduced program in 2024 so it could find a more sustainable financial model. The festival's artistic director, Chris Twite, said the swim was a tremendous way to bring things to a close. 'The response in 2025 has been incredible,' he said. 'The streets of Hobart have come alive with locals and visitors celebrating winter and Dark Mofo again.' More than 103,000 tickets were sold to Dark Mofo events in 2025, generating $4.6m. The festival has made a name for itself by courting controversy and in 2018 drew the ire of some by installing inverted Christian crosses along Hobart's waterfront.

Nicole Kidman's niece Lucia Hawley posts sweet birthday tribute to partner Henry Poole: 'My favourite boy'
Lucia Hawley has shared a sweet tribute to her long-term boyfriend, Henry Poole. Lucia, 27, and Henry, who have been dating for four years, generally keep their romance relatively private. But the niece of Nicole Kidman took to Instagram on Friday to share a series of photos celebrating her beau. The first showed the couple huddling close and beaming broadly as Henry held a glass of red wine. Lucia showed off her svelte form in a pink off-the shoulder dress, while Henry wore a blue shirt tucked into a pair of beige chinos. The pair looked every inch the loved-up couple as the posed under an archway on a manicured lawn. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Happy birthday to my favourite boy @henrypoole,' Lucia captioned the romantic photo. A second photo showed the couple, backs to camera, walking along a rain slick road with their arms around each other. It appears that the couple were not able to celebrate Henry's birthday together, with Lucia captioning that image: 'Miss u extra today.' A third photo showed the pair enjoying a chat via Facetime. Henry could be seen taking time out from a dip in the ocean to chat to his ladylove. Lucia, meanwhile looked over the moon to be chatting to her beau, captioning the photo: 'never a dull moment.' Lucia recently revealed Henry's reaction to her 'flirty' interview with Elvis star Austin Butler. The 7Bravo reporter became very flustered while interviewing the Hollywood star, 32, at the State Theatre during the Sydney Film Festival in June last year. The interview quickly went viral causing Lucia to share her longtime boyfriend Henry's reaction to the exchange. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she joked that Henry was 'not happy' as she shared a screenshot of the comment he left underneath footage of the friendly interview. Henry hilariously penned: 'Eyes where I can see em @austinbutler,' as he poked fun at the 'flirty' chat. Reposting his comment, Lucia quipped of Henry's response: '@henrypoole_ has weighed in guys... (he's not happy).' Lucia has been dating Henry for more than three years but only spoke publicly about their relationship for the first time last year, sharing their plans to move in together in 2024. Lucia, who has followed her mother Antonia Kidman's footsteps into the world of media, revealed, last month that she's hoping to find work in London. 'I am chasing the artistic pursuit of writing. I have been keeping a journal since I was 10-years-old. I think it's pretty competitive in London in the media space, but I'm going for the experience' she told the Daily Telegraph. 'So hopefully I'll land a job in media over there either writing or in broadcast. 'I've started like cold emailing editors and a few of them have actually responded which is awesome.' Lucia said she is excited to be 'a little closer to my aunty and cousins' which she called 'a real comfort.' Her aunt Nicole, who is based in Nashville, will now be a much shorter flight away than she was when Lucia was based in Australia. Lucia started her TV career after studying Arts at the elite University of Sydney. Following her degree and internship at Vogue Australia, she started working at a production company as an assistant and later applied for a job at 9Honey — Channel Nine's women's network. She eventually landed a role with NBC Universal, who launched 7Bravo in 2022, a role she left last year.

AFL fans react to Geelong's t-shirt stunt ahead of Patrick Dangerfield's 350th career game - as Brisbane Lions flex their premiership muscles
Geelong's bold decision to fill GMHBA Stadium with a sea of white t-shirts ahead of their clash with Brisbane on Friday night backfired after the Lions cruised to a 41-point victory. The away side didn't read the script, kicking four early goals to assume control in what was a statement performance. The triumph also ended the club's long losing run in Geelong. Promoted pre-game as 'a sight to behold' and a 'slice of history' on the Geelong website, the Cats decked out every seat at the venue with white t-shirts. It is a move often seen in US sports, with the Indiana Pacers and OKC Thunder doing so in the NBA Finals. On a night when the club was also celebrating captain Patrick Dangerfield's milestone 350th AFL appearance, the commentators backed the concept. 'They have kitted out the Cattery with the white T-shirts on every seat, inspiration drawn from the NBA and college football in the US,' Gerard Whateley said on Fox Footy. 'It is quite the sight as the local heroes emerge onto the field. 'Patrick Dangerfield said one of his favourite parts of this would be (his children) Winnie, 'Flip' (Felicity) and George joining him to run through the banner. 'All the kids are fully aware of what they're part of, his place in Geelong folklore, which grows tonight, game (what is) a special night.' But numerous footy fans weren't on the same page, taking to X to question the move from the Cats. 'Lol white out is a roaring success so far,' one posted before halftime as Brisbane assumed control. 'I don't think the white out worked,' said another. 'White out turning into a whitewash,' a third weighed in with.
