'You chant and you make me feel small and you embarrass me,' Cena told the live audience, maintaining his current heel persona. 'That is straight-up bullying... Thank you for bullying me into getting surgical hair replacement.'
Cena confirmed the surgery took place in November 2024 and described it as a 'work in progress.' Explaining the process, he said, 'You take the lawn over here [pointing to the side of his head] and you put it on the dry spot.' The audience laughed, but Cena's message was clear: public scrutiny had taken a toll.
The WWE Universe had long speculated about Cena's receding hairline, especially during big events like the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Cena admitted that signs mocking his hairline and fans shouting during matches pushed him to make the decision.
'I can't control a genetic problem. But I try to fix it,' Cena said, noting that he won't reveal the clinic that performed the surgery until he sees the final results. 'Once it gets better and I've got the long flowing locks, I'll be like, 'Yo, go to this guy.''
Interestingly, Cena also joked about his ongoing facial hair woes, admitting he still can't grow a decent mustache - something he might need another transplant for.
The timing of Cena's revelation is notable. Just 24 hours earlier, he became the first-ever 17-time world champion in WWE history after defeating Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, with some help from Travis Scott.
