Lukaku: 'I will start coaching badges at the end of the season'
Romelu Lukaku is only 31 years old, but the Napoli striker is already looking to his future career. 'I will start my coaching badges at the end of the season.'
The centre-forward will turn 32 in May and is having a strong campaign with the Partenopei, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in 29 competitive games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
However, the Belgium international is eager to keep expanding his knowledge of the sport and is thinking about his next steps.

'I think I do want to be a coach, a part of me believes that, but on the other hand, I also still have a few doubts,' Lukaku told Radio CRC.
'I will start my coaching badges at the end of the season, beginning the UEFA A and UEFA B courses, then I'll see what I feel like doing.'
The tactician he worked with the best over his career is without doubt Antonio Conte, experiencing his approach at Chelsea, Inter and now Napoli.

Coming to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona was an easy choice for Lukaku, especially once he felt the passion of the fans.
'I never experienced something like that during a warm-up. After the game, I asked Dries Mertens if it was always like that, and he confirmed this is pretty much constant.

'The cheer of the crowd pushes you on, it puts pressure on your opponents. When it happens, that becomes difficult for the other team.'
With the departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli had to change their tactics to a 3-5-2 formation and his strike partner became Giacomo Raspadori.
'Communication is essential, we all have different characteristics, but we can play together,' continued Lukaku.
'This also helps the coach to make his decisions. We are a group who get along off the field too, every Tuesday we organise Call of Duty tournaments with 10-12 players.'
Lukaku's son is currently playing for the Anderlecht youth academy and is a chip off the old block.
'He wants to play in attack, not defence. He is certainly more technically gifted than me, but is working really well at Anderlecht. Naturally, I do not interfere with the work of his coaches.'

Maurizio Sarri Makes Request to Sign €30M Juventus Winger

Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has reportedly requested the signing of Juventus winger Nico Gonzalez. Maurizio Sarri Wants Nico Gonzalez at Lazio The returning manager has been in constant talks with the club's Sporting Director, Angelo Fabiani, over the past few days, as the two men work on putting together a transfer strategy. Therefore, several names have been placed on the table, and according to Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Nico Gonzalez was the latest suggestion brought up by Sarri. The Background The Argentinian winger has been a Serie A staple since making the move from Stuttgart to Fiorentina in the summer of 2021. After cementing himself as the Viola's ultimate attraction, the 27-year-old sealed a transfer to Juventus last summer on loan with an obligation to buy for circa €33 million. (Photo by) Advertisement Nico Gonzalez endured a challenging first campaign in Turin, only contributing five goals and four assists in 35 appearances in all competitions. Therefore, several reports believe the Bianconeri would be willing to offload the winger this summer, but a €30 million fee would be required to avoid disrupting the balance sheet. Difficult Mission for Lazio As the source explains, prising the Argentina international away from Juventus remains a daunting task for Lazio, especially at this stage of the summer, as their transfer plans remain impeded by the infamous liquidity index. One solution would be to conduct an initial loan deal, thus deferring the cost of the operation until next summer, but it remains to be seen whether this would be feasible.

Exclusive: Inzaghi's Al-Hilal sounded out McTominay

Napoli star Scott McTominay is not for sale, but Simone Inzaghi's Al-Hilal still sounded out the Scotland international's availability for a summer transfer. Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal informally enquired about Napoli star McTominay, sources with direct knowledge of the matter inform me. Exclusive: Al-Hilal made attempt to sign McTominay Simone Inzaghi is the new coach of Al-Hilal (@AlHilal_FC) McTominay is not for sale, so Napoli didn't even sit down to discuss a potential move to Al-Hilal. Inzaghi was interested in the Scotland international, but Napoli didn't even listen to a formal proposal from the Saudi side. McTominay is more than happy at Napoli and is not considering joining any other club this summer. The Partenopei boss, Antonio Conte, recently spoke about the midfielder's move to the Stadio Maradona last summer, admitting that he did not expect him to complete a transfer from Manchester United. What Conte said about McTominay's summer transfer NAPLES, ITALY – MAY 23: Scott McTominay of Napoli acknowledges the fans as he celebrates victory following the Serie A match between Napoli and Cagliari at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on May 23, 2025 in Naples, Italy. (Photo by) 'Scott is a player whom I knew really well. He was born and raised at Manchester United,' Conte said. Advertisement 'I could see that he always made an impact when he played, but at the same time, I noticed he wasn't used as a key player at Manchester United. He was hardly a starter. Honestly, we had talked about it with [Napoli director] Giovanni Manna. He told me it was a possible solution. 'Sometimes, directors make up stories also to keep you calm,' Conte continued. 'If you ask me: 'Have you ever thought McTominay would surely arrive?' I'd say no. Don't forget we were heading into a season without European trophies to play for, so he had to leave Manchester United to start over with us.' McTominay scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 34 Serie A games in his debut season in Italy's top flight.

Liverpool offered WORLD-CLASS striker

Liverpool offered Victor Osimhen Reports in Italy claim Liverpool have been offered Victor Osimhen. Not simply told they can have him, either - the deal has been laid out. Journalist Valter Di Maggio makes the claim, talking to Radio Kiss Kiss (as related by Area Napoli). Advertisement 'The English club wants Osimhen and Napoli from this point of view does not make any discounts on the clause, therefore asking for €75m as per the contract," says Di Maggio. 'The sporting director of the Neapolitan club, Giovanni Manna, has tried to ask for information for the two Reds forwards, namely Darwin Nunez and the Italian former Juventus player Federico Chiesa. 'Liverpool would have opened up to Napoli by proposing an equal exchange between the players involved in this operation. 'Aurelio De Laurentiis, however, has other ideas and is not listening: the president of the blue club is asking for Chiesa, Nunez and €20m for Osimhen's registration.' Advertisement So there's the twist here. In order to sign Osimhen, Liverpool must give them Chiesa, Nunez and around £17m. Which is an awful lot. At the same time, any money from Chiesa and Nunez would almost certainly go to fund a striker. The hope would be that their combined wages paid for the new forward's salary, too. Liverpool, then, have some thinking to do. Osimhen would now be the easiest deal to complete as they're already in talks with Napoli. But is he the one? We're not so sure. Liverpool would kick themselves if they completed this one and then found out Newcastle United were willing to sell Isak.
