Annoyed! Anushka Sharma can't hide disappointment as Virat Kohli walks back
NEW DELHI:
Virat Kohli
etched his name in the record books once again, notching up his 63rd IPL fifty during the 2025 clash against Lucknow Super Giants. With this knock, he overtook David Warner to become the player with the most half-centuries in IPL history, while his wife
Anushka Sharma
proudly cheered him on from the stands.
Earlier, LSG put on a batting masterclass in the first innings, amassing a mammoth total of 227 runs. Skipper
Rishabh Pant
led the charge with a scintillating unbeaten 118 off 61 balls, laced with 11 fours and 8 sixes.

Chasing a daunting target, RCB's reply started on a strong note, thanks to a 61-run opening stand between Kohli and Phil Salt. Though Salt departed during the powerplay, Kohli kept up the momentum. He reached his fifty in the 10th over, also becoming the first batter to record 63 IPL half-centuries and crossing the 9000-run mark for RCB in T20s (including IPL and CLT20).
Anushka Sharma was visibly delighted in the stands, applauding her husband's achievement with a glowing smile and claps.
However, RCB's innings began to unravel after Kohli fell to Avesh Khan in the 12th over.
Anushka's disappointed reaction was quickly caught on camera moments after Kohli's dismissal.
Rajat Patidar
and Liam Livingstone also departed cheaply, handing their wickets to William O'Rourke.
With the match hanging in the balance, the onus shifted to Jitesh Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, and Romario Shepherd to guide Bengaluru home.
Interestingly, RCB have already secured a spot in the playoffs, whereas LSG are out of contention. Still, a win in this match could give Bengaluru a shot at finishing in the top two.

Tushar Raheja to Shivam Singh: Star TNNPL batters KKR should target for IPL 2026
In this collection of pictures, we will explore the list of star TNPL batters KKR could consider signing for IPL 2026. 2024 IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders had a difficult 2025 season following the loss of a key opener Phil Salt to RCB. Their weaknesses were best demonstrated in powerplay, where their openers averaged a miserable 26.5 per man individually and a meager 22.3 together the third-lowest opening partnership average of the league. KKR's skipper, Ajinkya Rahane was the only batter who amassed runs with intent and turned out to be the highest run-scorer for his side. He scored a total of 390 runs at an average of 3.45 with a strike rate of 147.73. His highest score was 61. There is no doubt that KKR are going to seek reinforcement at the top-order, exploring the Indian talent pool, and in this case, there is where these three super hitters in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) can come handy. In case you have been able to see a glimpse of the TNPL, then you must have heard of Tushar Raheja. The classy left-handed opener will be the perfect addition in the line-up of KKR style which is to attack in the powerplay. He is the top run-scorer in TNPL 2025 so far, with 298 races at a mind boggling average of 99.33 and a strike rate of 204.10. His six-hitting skills are never in doubt, though, and with 21 sixes and 29 fours in the contest, he has more boundaries as a hitter than any other TNPL 2025 batter. No batter has scored more runs in TNPL since 2023 than Shivam Singh. The ex-PBKS all rounder has been in a rampage in the tournament having scored 931 runs with an amazing average of 51.72. Imagine Ajinkya Rahane took a bold decision by playing as an opener for KKR, the team will require someone solid at No.3 and that is where Nidhish Rajagopal comes handy. The left hander deals well with pace and spin, which is highly necessary in a KKR team with a fire balling middle order. He has an adequate record against spinners, scoring 263 runs with 16 sixes since the 2023 TNPL, which is a good sign of dealing with spinners. The Salem-born hitter is only 25 so he brings youth to an already ageing KKR top order, providing the ideal calm yet effective balance in the batting arsenal.

India's Day 3 Test Review: Cloudy skies ahead | Weather twist at Headingley Bumrah's achievement in SENA countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand, Australia) is particularly noteworthy as he became the first Asian player to reach 150 Test wickets in these nations, surpassing Paistani legend Wasim Akram's record of 146 wickets. The accomplishment also places Bumrah among an elite group of Asian bowlers, becoming only the third from the continent to secure 10 five-wicket hauls in Test matches in SENA countries, joining the ranks of Wasim Akram and Lasith Malinga. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like New Cooling Tech Making Ductless ACs Go Mainstream [take a look] Keep Cool Click Here Undo Quiz: Who's that IPL player?
