OH BABY I'm a nurse and here's the worst baby name I have ever heard – it's so bad it keeps me awake at night
WE'VE all put on a false smile when we've heard a baby name that gives us the ick.
However, even the most po-faced of people would struggle to keep a straight face after hearing this moniker.

A nurse has revealed the very worst baby name she has ever heard, claiming that it still keeps her up at night.
'Richie Rich Putin,' wrote the disgusted Reddit user from Germany, adding that labor and delivery nurses at a local birthing center had recently deemed it the the 'worst name' to ever curse the cradle.
It's a 'creative' combination of actor Macaulay Culkin's 1990s classic film 'Richie Rich,' and the last name of Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
'I used to think the name laws are more strict [in Germany] than in other countries,' wrote the Redditor.
'The city will decide whether the name you chose is an actual name or the child will be bullied for it.'
However, this particularly unusual title clearly fell through the cracks.
'Just felt like I had to share that while lying awake thinking about my soon-to-be-born child's name,' she added.
Fellow redditors were equally horrified, sharing their thoughts in the comments.
'Do parents really hate their child that much? Or do they think it's funny and don't think it through for the kid's future?,' questioned a concerned commenter.
'That poor child,' another sighed. 'Can you imagine all oligarch bootlicking that must go on in its home?'

Sadly, side-eye-worthy baby names are currently en vogue among expecting moms worldwide.
Be they Disney-inspired handles such as 'Snow White' and 'Se7en Simba,' or geographically-influenced names à la 'Elae' — pronounced LA, like the abbreviation for Los Angeles, California.
Emma Hutton, who crowned her daughter Elae, doesn't seem to understand why haters have a hard time embracing the unconventional name.
'I know everyone's not going to like it. I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea,' Hutton barked in a viral vid. 'But I like different names.'
'It's 2025,' she added. 'I didn't know that people wouldn't be able to understand basic English.'

'How to Train Your Dragon' tops the U.S. box office as 'Elio' marks a new low for Pixar

NEW YORK — Neither Pixar nor zombies were enough to topple "How to Train Your Dragon" from the No. 1 slot at North American box offices over the weekend. The Universal Pictures live-action remake remained the top film, bringing in $37 million in ticket sales in its second weekend, despite the sizeable new releases of "Elio" and "28 Years Later." , according to studio estimates Sunday. "How To Train Your Dragon" has rapidly amassed $358.2 million worldwide. Six years after its last entry, the Dean DeBlois-directed "How To Train Your Dragon" has proven a potent revival of the DreamWorks Animation franchise. A sequel is already in the works for the $150 million production, which remakes the 2010 animated tale about a Viking boy and his dragon. Pixar's "Elio" had a particularly tough weekend. The Walt Disney Co. animation studio has often launched some of its biggest titles in June, including "Cars," "WALL-E" and "Toy Story 4." But "Elio," a science fiction adventure about a boy who dreams of meeting aliens, notched a modest $21 million, the lowest opening ever for Pixar. "This is a weak opening for a new Pixar movie," said David A. Gross, who runs the movie consulting firm FranchiseRe. "These would be solid numbers for another original animation film, but this is Pixar, and by Pixar's remarkable standard, the opening is well below average." "Elio," originally set for release in early 2024, had a bumpy road to the screen. Adrian Molina — co-director of "Coco" — was replaced mid-production by Domee Shi ("Turning Red") and Madeline Sharafian. Back at Disney's D23 conference in 2022, America Ferrera appeared to announce her role as Elio's mother, but the character doesn't even exist in the revamped film. Disney and Pixar spent at least $150 million making "Elio," which didn't fare any better internationally than it did in North America, bringing in just $14 million from 43 territories. Pixar stumbled coming out of the pandemic before stabilizing performance with 2023's "Elemental" ($496.4 million worldwide) and 2024's "Inside Out 2" ($1.7 billion), which was the company's biggest box office hit. "Elemental" was Pixar's previously lowest earning film, launching with $29.6 million. It rallied in later weeks to collect nearly half a billion dollars at the box office. The company's first movie, "Toy Story," opened with $29.1 million in 1995, or $60 when adjusted for inflation. It remains to be seen whether "Elio's" decent reviews and "A" from CinemaScore audiences can lead it to repeat "Elemental's" trajectory. With most schools on summer break, the competition for family audiences was stiff. Disney's own "Lilo & Stitch," another live-action remake, continued to pull in young moviegoers. It grossed $9.7 million in its fifth weekend, bringing its global tally to $910.3 million. . "28 Years Later" signaled the return of another, far gorier franchise. Director Danny Boyle reunited with screenwriter Alex Garland to resume their pandemic apocalypse thriller 25 years after "28 Days Later" and 18 years after its sequel, "28 Weeks Later." The Sony Pictures release opened with $30 million. That was good enough to give Boyle, the filmmaker of "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Trainspotting," the biggest opening weekend of his career. The film, which cost $60 million to make, jumps ahead nearly three decades from the outbreak of the so-called rage virus for a coming-of-age story about a 12-year-old (Alfie Williams) venturing out of his family's protected village. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes co-star. Reviews have been good (90% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes) for "28 Years Later," though audience reaction (a "B" CinemaScore) is mixed. Boyle has more plans for the zombie franchise, which will next see the release of "28 Years Later: The Bone Temple" next year from director Nia DaCosta. "28 Years Later" added another $30 million in 59 overseas markets. After its strong start last weekend with $12 million, A24's "Materialists" held well with $5.8 million in its second weekend. The romantic drama by writer-director Celine Song and starring Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans has collected $24 million so far. Next weekend should also be a competitive one in movie theaters, with both "F1," from Apple and Warner Bros., and Universal's "Megan 2.0" launching in cinemas. Top 10 movies by domestic box office With final domestic figures being released Monday, this list factors in the estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore: 1. "How to Train Your Dragon," $37 million. 2. "28 Years Later," $30 million. 3. "Elio," $21 million. 4. "Lilo & Stitch," $9.7 million. 5. "Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning," $6.6 million. 6. "Materialists," $5.8 million. 7. "Ballerina," $4.5 million. 8. "Karate Kid: Legends," $2.4 million. 9. "Final Destination: Bloodlines," $1.9 million. 10. "Kuberaa," $1.7 million.

She expressed her excitement about becoming a grandmother, saying: "I'm really excited to become a grandmother. (Image: Getty) Annabel joined the Strictly cast following the loss of her husband Mel Coleman to colon cancer. As she prepares for milestones like becoming a grandmother for the first time, she admits missing him more than ever, reports OK!. Speaking to Hello! magazine, she said the family will continue to move forward and focus on the future: "When you deal with what we've dealt with as a family, you start to live in the moment, and that's our motto." In other news, speculation is rife about who will participate in the upcoming series of 'Strictly Come Dancing', with footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink rumoured to be hitting the dance floor. An insider disclosed: "Jimmy has a huge fanbase from his years playing in the Premier League and is a very likeable character. "Show producers are always keen to book a retired footballer as it gets footie fans tuning into the series and becoming unlikely fans of the show." The source further told The Sun: "Jimmy has a competitive edge and is going to get his head in the game." Viewers won't have to wait too long for the new series, which typically kicks off in September. Last year, comedian Chris McCausland clinched the trophy with Dianne Buswell. Alt-J fans finally find out what band's name means after nearly two decades

Alt-J have been making music for almost two decades and have won a number of awards - but some fans are only just learning the meaning behind their unique band name Alt-J enthusiasts might have been bopping to their tunes for years, yet many remain clueless about the meaning behind the band's name. The indie rockers, who formed in 2007 and consist of Joe Newman, Thom Sonny Green, Gus Unger-Hamilton, and previously Gwil Sainsbury, have made waves in the music scene. Their first album, 'An Awesome Wave', scooped up the prestigious 2012 British Mercury Prize, catapulting them into stardom across Europe and the States. Hits like 'Fitzpleasure', 'Deadcrush', 'Something Good', 'Breezeblocks', 'Tessellate', 'Taro', and 'Interlude II' have become anthems for many, but the origin of their enigmatic name has left some fans on Reddit utterly gobsmacked upon discovery. ‌ The truth is, Alt-J' s real moniker is the delta symbol ∆, a nod to change in mathematical terms. Mac users can replicate this by hitting Alt-J on their keyboards. ‌ Gus Unger-Hamilton revealed to FMQB the quirky genesis of their name: "Gwil discovered the alt-J shortcut on his computer, which creates the 'delta' symbol, and he thought we should call our band just the delta symbol, which is a triangle in the Greek alphabet." He added, "That was kind of our band name, but we chose to pronounce it alt-J because we knew being played on the radio, you need to really give your band a name that is spoken and not just written. "So it was going to be said 'alt-J' and written like a triangle or a delta. But now the delta symbol remains as sort of a masthead for the band." A Reddit user was left impressed after realising the indie band Alt-J (∆) got their name from the Mac keyboard shortcut for the delta sign, stating: "Today I learnt the band Alt-J (∆) was named after the command for making a delta sign with a Mac computer." Another chimed in with a fun fact about keyboard layouts: "On the Danish keyboard layout, they should be called Alt-k. Alt-j makes an arrow and not the delta sign." ‌ One fan expressed their enthusiasm for the Leeds-based outfit, saying: "I really like Alt-J. Love both of their albums and I am really excited for their next one. Probably too early to say but 3WW might actually be my favourite song of theirs (it was Nara before, and Taro before that)." Throwing in their two pence, another added: "I remember when Alt J was first getting big that they were always getting compared to Radiohead and at one point they even bragged about being better than Radiohead, because they started off making a better album than Radiohead did." They continued: "Anyway, I think they are pretty good but not really a favourite band of mine since I mostly only dig their debut album which is phenomenal. I will listen to their next album, but the lead single was a bit boring to me and their second album was underwhelming, so my expectations are not very high (I'd love to be pleasantly surprised though...)". Finally, a third user couldn't help but gush over the band's first major release: "I love Alt-J! One of my absolute favourite bands. An Awesome Wave is a work of art from start to finish, probably my favourite debut album from any band. As for This Is All Yours, there's some filler in there in my opinion but the stronger songs on it are superb, namely 'Nara' and 'Intro'. "New album got me pretty hyped, and I liked 3ww a lot. Extra awesome was the fact they worked with Ellie Rowsell from Wolf Alice which for me is a very cool collaboration. Certainly an interesting direction for them to go in, it seems. Could be the album that defines them."
