As the Cleveland Browns prepare to turn the page on a rough 3-14 season in 2024, one of the organization's newest additions has become the subject of widespread speculation.
After leading the Colorado Buffaloes to a 9-4 record and winning the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2024, throwing for 4,134 passing yards and 37 touchdowns, Shedeur Sanders surprisingly slipped down to the fifth round, becoming the No. 144 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

On Tuesday, NFL Hall of Famer and current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders shared side-by-side images of his own 1989 rookie contract ($4.4 million) and that of his son, Shedeur, who just inked a four-year, $4.6 million deal with the Browns.
He tagged the post with a simple caption: '@shedeursanders Proud Father I am!! I love my kids and I pushed my kids to be greater to be better to correct my wrongs & magnify my rights. My kids are built for whatever comes their way. We're prepared for whatever because I got them no matter what!. Thank you Jesus. #Dad."
Drafted fifth overall by the Atlanta Falcons in 1989, Deion immediately made an impact as a shutdown cornerback and electric returner.

Over 14 NFL seasons with five franchises, he collected 53 interceptions, returned nine for touchdowns, and scored six more on punt returns and three on kickoff returns.

Sanders earned eight Pro Bowl nods, six first-team All-Pro selections, and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1994.
