Embarrassing moment cop fails to recognize NFL Draft flop Shedeur Sanders after catching him speeding
Shedeur Sanders was forced to explain who he is to an Ohio cop who recently pulled over the NFL rookie for speeding. The 23-year-old is the son of ex-NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders. The quarterback was recently selected by the Cleveland Browns following a humiliating slide to the fifth round of the NFL draft. Since then, Sanders has continued to make headlines for the wrong reasons. Twice this month the quarterback has been pulled over for speeding. One of the incidents saw Sanders stopped for allegedly going 91mph in a 65mph zone in Medina County, Ohio. It came on June 5, with the rookie pulled over in the Cleveland suburb of Brunswick Hills by the Ohio State Patrol. In new footage, obtained by TMZ, the 23-year-old is seen handing over an out-of-state ID to a trooper, who asks: 'What's with the Mississippi ID?' Sanders then explains that he used to play college football in Jackson. He was the quarterback at Jackson State before moving to Colorado with his father. 'He doesn't know who you are,' the other cop told the 23-year-old before his partner joined the dots. 'Oh. Sanders. Gotcha,' he said. Sanders' fame did not save him from punishment, however. He faces $269 in fines and court costs over the incident but failed to show in court for his arraignment, according to The arraignment was scheduled for June 16 and just one day later he was pulled over again. The Browns rookie was reportedly cited for speeding over 100mph in Cleveland. Local news station Fox9 claims Sanders, who was infamously selected 144th overall at this year's NFL Draft despite initially being projected as a first-round pick, was pulled over by an officer at around 12:24 am in the Cleveland suburb of Strongsville on Tuesday, June 17. The 23-year-old quarterback was allegedly clocked driving at 101mph, 41 miles over the speed limit.

Browns Fans Saying Same Thing About Sanders' 'Little Boy' Act
Browns Fans Saying Same Thing About Sanders' 'Little Boy' Act originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was always going to enter the league with the spotlight centered on him. That's the cost of doing business as Deion Sanders' son. Advertisement But neither Sanders nor his father have done much to dim those lights. A projected first-round pick, Sanders' fall to Round 5 was the preeminent story of the 2025 NFL Draft. He reportedly fell short of expectations during the pre-draft process, and without blue-chip talent, Sanders was more risk than reward for every team early in the draft. As the fourth quarterback on Cleveland's mess of a depth chart, Sanders had the opportunity to put his plummet behind him and earn his team's trust, both on and off the field. Reviews are mixed on Sanders' performance at minicamp and organized team activities (OTAs). But off the field, Sanders is speeding his way out of town. On June 5, Sanders was ticketed for speeding, going 91 mph in a 65-mph zone, per Alex Darus. Fewer than two weeks later, on June 17, he was pulled over again for going 101 mph in a 60-mph zone. Advertisement At Browns tight end Davis Njoku's charity softball event, Sanders' response to those speeding tickets went viral. 'I'm just a little boy … I made some wrong choices personally,' Sanders said. 'I gotta own up to them. I made some not-great choices. I learn from 'em. I learn. I learn.' Sanders' phrasing will earn him criticism. Sure, he was joking. But being a franchise quarterback means being accountable, mature, and learning from one's mistakes. For all intents and purposes, everybody speeds. It's not an indictment of Sanders' character. However, it's worth wondering why one ticket wasn't enough. Maybe the hundreds of dollars in fines aren't significant enough to move the needle. Perhaps he's a young kid in a new area who happened to get unlucky. Advertisement That answer isn't clear. What is overtly obvious, though, is that Sanders' goal should have been to avoid controversy at all cost. His leash is short and he doesn't have the early-round draft capital to save him. Sanders is only making life more difficult for himself, and his response hasn't earned him any more confidence. Fair or not, he must prove that he has the character to lead Cleveland to the promised land. Inexcusably, he hasn't slowed down enough to learn that lesson. Browns' Shedeur Sanders Offers Bizarre Explanation For Two Speeding Tickets
Browns' Shedeur Sanders Offers Bizarre Explanation For Two Speeding Tickets originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Before his son took an epic tumble down the NFL Draft last April, Deion Sanders lashed out at critics who dared to relay negative stories about Shedeur's character. Advertisement Said Deion, "A young man that has never been in trouble, never involved in an off field incident, & quarterbacked two Universities to a resurgence has 0 behind the scenes qualities?" Oops. Make that two troubling off-field incidents - both resulting in citations for driving dangerously fast - in two weeks. Before the dust settled on Shedeur's ticket for driving 101 mph in a 60 mph zone this week, it's now been uncovered that the controversial Cleveland Browns' rookie quarterback was pulled over for the same offense on June 5. According to WKBN-TV in Cleveland, the Ohio State Highway Patrol issued him a citation for driving 91 mph in a 65 mph zone in Brunswick Hills. According to public records, Shedeur last Monday failed to appear in court for arraignment on the first speeding ticket and on Tuesday morning was pulled over again for doing 101 mph. He reportedly faces $269 in fines and court costs stemming from the June 5 violation and failure to appear in court, and another $250 for his speeding violation this week. Appearing at teammate David Njoku's charity softball game Thursday night in Eastlake, Ohio, Shedeur seemed hardly remorseful. In a video shot before pre-game introductions, he talked in his trademark mumbly cadence which, at times, sounds almost slurred. Advertisement "I know I be vibin', bruh," a laughing, smiling Shedeur seems to say to a man standing next to him. "I'm just a little boy. I made some wrong choices, personally, and I gotta own up to 'em. I made some, you know, not great choices. I learn from 'em. I learn. I learn." Committing the exact same mistake twice in two weeks doesn't exactly sound like "learning" as much as it does "repeating." At this point Deion needs to stop coddling his son and start teaching him some history about NFL players driving recklessly fast. He can start with Rashee Rice and Henry Ruggs, then throw in the tale of teammate of Myles Garrett. Shedeur, by the way, is 23 years old. In the video, the man next to Shedeur says, "He's just a regular kid. What's wrong with y'all? He ain't do nothing wrong." Jimmy Horn Jr. Delivers Clear Statement on Deion Sanders Development
Jimmy Horn Jr. Delivers Clear Statement on Deion Sanders Development originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Former Colorado wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. is electrifying when it comes to running routes. His range and deep pass-catching ability should be a benefit to Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers' offense this season. Advertisement When you have former players like Steve Smith Sr. critiquing your game after being compared to the future Hall-of-Famer, the skies are the limit. Once Horn gets fully acclimated playing at the next level, he'll be able to be a consistent contributor. This comes from being under Deion Sanders and developing into a pro. 'Playing with Coach Prime, he running the program more like a boys to man type of deal,' Horn said. 'You coming in a certain way, and you coming out a certain way.' The Panthers may have drafted Horn in the sixth round, but he was a steal. They understood his potential and saw the explosiveness he has by getting separation from defenders on tape. Many teams didn't get a true read on the former Buffs wide receiver. Smith did before the draft when he saw Horns' route running ability and footwork firsthand. The one thing that stood out to Smith during Horn participation in CU's Pro Day was how quiet his feet were. Many of the receivers in today's game give defenders a bit of a cheat code, alerting them when they are getting ready to break on their routes and expecting a pass from the quarterback. This is something that Horn will be using to his advantage this season, like Lad McConkey does for the Los Angeles Chargers. What would be great to see in the Panthers offense is end arounds and double reverses. Horn's ability to stretch the field is a big positive for Carolina's receiving core to keep opposing defenses guessing. Also, he could be used in the return game, which is something he has experience doing as well. Because of his work ethic and attention to detail, he should get significant playing time this upcoming NFL season. FOX Sports Analyst Sends Four-Word Message to Deion Sanders Amid Health Issues
FOX Sports Analyst Sends Four-Word Message to Deion Sanders Amid Health Issues originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Deion Sanders has also been a source of motivation to many. It's one of the reasons why he co-authored his most recent book 'Elevate and Dominate: 21 Ways to Win On and Off The Field'. However, recently the Colorado Buffaloes coach has needed some uplifting of his own. Advertisement After announcing he was dealing with another round of health setbacks, the 57-year old said he was 'doing good,' but is taking time to get back to full strength after "losing 14 pounds." There's no set time for Sanders to be back in Boulder, leaving fans to speculate what's going on? With Sunday being Father's Day, Coach Prime posted new photos with his daughters, Deiondra and Shelomi, along with Deion Jr. at his estate in Texas. The moment caught the attention of FOX Sports' Emmanuel Acho, who dropped a comment for Sanders. "Happy Father's Day King!," Acho replied. For Sanders, it's rare to have both his daughters around at the same time and a moment he'll cherish with this being his first Father's Day as a grandfather to Snow. Sanders is soaking up his time as Papa Prime. Earlier this weekend, he posted a picture of him and Deiondra giving his grandson a sink bath.
