Superman Mythic powers in Fortnite leaked: Flight, Heat Vision, and more
Superman is coming to Fortnite, and not just as a skin. A new leak has revealed what players can expect from the upcoming Superman Mythic. If the information is true, this could be one of the most powerful Mythics the game has ever seen.
The leak comes from @Egyptian_Leaker, a known name in the Fortnite community. They shared details about the Superman Mythic's gameplay features, and it looks like you might actually get to feel like the Man of Steel in your next match.
What powers you might get with Superman Mythic character
In trailers and teasers, we've already seen Superman flying, firing laser beams from his eyes, and sending enemies flying. According to the leak, all of this will soon be possible for players too. Here are the abilities you might get with the Superman Mythic:
Heat Vision (Laser Eyes like the ones from the Sprite event)
Super Strength
Flying Ability
These powers could let you move across the map quickly, deal huge damage, and even become hard to take down.
How the Superman Mythic might work
SUPERMAN MYTHIC GAMEPLAY DETAILS!Gives you:- Heat Vision (Laser Eyes, same as the ones used for the sprites)- Super Strength- Flying AbilityThe mythic will appear on the minimap when it spawns, so it'll probably work like the Godzilla mechanic and spawn a portal#Fortnite pic.twitter.com/AAEAVMe6HQ
According to the leak, the Superman Mythic will appear on the mini-map once it spawns. Players might need to enter a special portal to get his powers. This system sounds similar to the old Godzilla event, where players could take control of a massive creature temporarily.
There's also a chance it could work like Doctor Doom's Mythic, where you directly transform into the character and use their powers for a while. Either way, it sounds like the player who gets this Mythic will have a big advantage during the match.
Will Superman be invincible in Fortnite? All we know
One thing that stands out in the leak is how strong Superman might be. Some fans believe the Mythic could make the player nearly invincible, or at least very hard to beat. In the current game, the Superman NPC can't be harmed. If Epic stays true to that, this Mythic might be very powerful.
However, the leak also mentions that taking enough damage might remove your powers and return you to normal. This could be a way to balance things out so it's still fair for others in the lobby. Either way, expect chaos when the Superman Mythic finally goes live.

Fortnite confirms new Squid Game map for Reload mode: Release date and what we know so far
Fortnite is all set to welcome one of its most gripping collaborations yet. A new crossover map inspired by the Netflix global hit Squid Game will soon arrive in the popular Reload mode. The news was confirmed by Fortnite's official X account, sparking excitement among fans of the battle royale and the brutal survival drama alike. In a cryptic yet thrilling teaser shared online, Fortnite wrote, 'Run, run, run. New Squid Game map in Reload. Next week!' While the post didn't give away much, it was enough to set the internet abuzz. Fortnite x Squid Game: New Reload map release date (X) Squid Game comes to Reload mode Reload, Fortnite's fast-paced mode rooted in classic battle royale mechanics, seems like an ideal match for Squid Game-style eliminations. Fans are already imagining how tense challenges such as Red Light, Green Light will be recreated within the Fortnite universe. This is not the first time Squid Game was connected to Fortnite. At the State of Unreal earlier this year, it was announced that official Squid Game creation tools would be added to the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) on June 27, Gamerant reported. These will let players build custom experiences using licensed assets-making this crossover one of the most interactive yet. Also read: Fortnite guide: How to get the Battle Bus SUV? All you need to know Tools, timing and what to expect Although Epic Games has not confirmed an exact release date for the Reload crossover map, it is expected to launch alongside or shortly after the UEFN update on June 27. This means fans may get to experience not just pre-built maps but also community-created versions of the dystopian game's challenges. The Squid Game map is likely to feature core elements of the series-tension, competition and timed eliminations-designed to fit Fortnite's gameplay style. It's part of a broader push by Epic to blend licensed content into its creative ecosystem, with more immersive and user-generated content leading the charge. 'The Simpsons' crossover may follow In another interesting development, Khaleej Times has reported that Epic may be preparing a Fortnite x The Simpsons crossover. According to leaks, a Springfield-style island is in the works, possibly as the setting for a future limited-time event or themed mini-season. If the reports are true, it would mark the first time The Simpsons joins the Fortnite universe-opening the door to nostalgic gameplay for long-time fans of the animated series. FAQs What is the release date for the Squid Game Reload map? Fortnite has confirmed the map is coming "next week," but a precise date has not been revealed yet. What will the Squid Game content include? The content will include a new map in Reload mode and creative tools in UEFN, allowing players to build Squid Game-inspired challenges. Is a Simpsons collaboration confirmed? Not officially. But leaks suggest that Epic Games is working on a Springfield-themed map for a future Fortnite update.

James Gunn Is Confident That New Superman ‘Will Survive' The Snyderverse Storm
Last Updated: Zack Snyder fans on Reddit have been trying to hurt James Gunn's Superman movie by sharing spoilers and posting bad reviews online. The DC Universe is about to get a fresh start with the new Superman movie releasing in less than a month. Many fans are excited to see James Gunn 's version of the iconic hero. But not everyone is happy. Fans of Zack Snyder's DC films, known as the SnyderVerse, are upset because this new movie will reset the story they love. A group on Reddit linked to Snyder fans has been trying to hurt the film by sharing spoilers and posting bad reviews online. Their goal is to protest the reboot of the DC Universe by Gunn and Peter Safran. When the director heard about the plan to hurt the movie, he didn't seem bothered. Replying to a fan on Threads, Gunn wrote, 'lol I think we'll survive. I'm not sure the eight people that listen to that guy (I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's a guy) are going to impact the course of events." In an interview with Rolling Stone, James Gunn was told that some people are not supporting him because they prefer the older DC movies made by Zack Snyder. The filmmaker replied, 'I don't mind it. I think it's good. I think you don't wanna have everybody root for you. And I have an actor who reads everything online. I won't say who it is, but he'll read this article and he'll know who it is. It's one of the top five in Superman. And this actor gets so upset over things that people say." 'I said, 'First of all, you realise that the trailer came out and [reaction] was 97, 98 per cent positive. These people help us because you don't want everything to seem 100 per cent positive. It's all right to have an opposing force every once in a while. Some of the things get ridiculous. I just know that every time something comes out, it doesn't matter how positively received, there's gonna be something that is of great controversy. It was a great controversy that the sun caused Superman pain," Gunn added. Superman, scheduled to release on July 11, stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell. James Gunn On Superman's Scene Being Called Superimposed: ‘I Didn't Love The Shot'
Last Updated: James Gunn revealed Superman's viral flying scene is not part of the upcoming movie. Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn revealed how the honest opinions of fans and movie buffs aren't always overlooked. It was after several clips and trailers of the highly anticipated movie, Superman, were released that social media users pointed towards a specific moment in one of the clips. It featured a flying David Corenswet, decked up in his on-screen Superman character's costume, which caught many eyes. In a recent interview, James Gunn was asked about the moment in the Superman clip featuring David Corenswet's flight, which, according to many, was no less than a 'CG superimposed thing." To this, the Superman director admitted the clip 'kind of got by" him. Contrary to many other creatives like him in the field, Gunn explained that he was somewhat aware of the fan reactions to his works. Further, Gunn, who is known to shoot extra footage for promotional content of the upcoming movie's release, responded, 'No, I don't think it was so much. It was a TV commercial, and it wasn't a finished visual effects shot." 'So the part of him flying, it was a photograph of his face and him flying," Gunn described the creative aspect shot being used in the clip, adding, 'It was a photograph of a drone flying in front of an actual background. So all the pieces were real, but it was incorporated in kind of a funky way." Although he highlighted the techniques being applied to the shot, Gunn was personally not much impressed with the same, 'I didn't love the shot, so it's not even the shot that's in the movie," he clarified. Further, opening up about his cinematic visions, he disclosed, 'Sometimes I'm pretty strict about when I'm going through a trailer and looking at each of the shots, but sometimes, the commercials, I forget to look at this closely. So that one kind of got by me." Based on the DC Studios co-CEO's statements, it seems that the clip featuring David Corenswet's flight is reportedly a part of the extra content being shot for the trailers and others. FYI: The moment referenced in the interview is when Corenswet takes off a flight at the last 4 seconds of the 30-second video that caught everyone's attention and became a part of a huge discussion on X. The American superhero film based on the eponymous character Superman from DC Comics is set for a theatrical release by Warner Bros on July 11. First Published: June 20, 2025, 19:10 IST
