James Gunn Is Confident That New Superman ‘Will Survive' The Snyderverse Storm
Last Updated:
Zack Snyder fans on Reddit have been trying to hurt James Gunn's Superman movie by sharing spoilers and posting bad reviews online.
The DC Universe is about to get a fresh start with the new Superman movie releasing in less than a month. Many fans are excited to see James Gunn 's version of the iconic hero. But not everyone is happy. Fans of Zack Snyder's DC films, known as the SnyderVerse, are upset because this new movie will reset the story they love. A group on Reddit linked to Snyder fans has been trying to hurt the film by sharing spoilers and posting bad reviews online. Their goal is to protest the reboot of the DC Universe by Gunn and Peter Safran. When the director heard about the plan to hurt the movie, he didn't seem bothered.
Replying to a fan on Threads, Gunn wrote, 'lol I think we'll survive. I'm not sure the eight people that listen to that guy (I'm going to go out on a limb and guess it's a guy) are going to impact the course of events."
In an interview with Rolling Stone, James Gunn was told that some people are not supporting him because they prefer the older DC movies made by Zack Snyder. The filmmaker replied, 'I don't mind it. I think it's good. I think you don't wanna have everybody root for you. And I have an actor who reads everything online. I won't say who it is, but he'll read this article and he'll know who it is. It's one of the top five in Superman. And this actor gets so upset over things that people say."
'I said, 'First of all, you realise that the trailer came out and [reaction] was 97, 98 per cent positive. These people help us because you don't want everything to seem 100 per cent positive. It's all right to have an opposing force every once in a while. Some of the things get ridiculous. I just know that every time something comes out, it doesn't matter how positively received, there's gonna be something that is of great controversy. It was a great controversy that the sun caused Superman pain," Gunn added.
Superman, scheduled to release on July 11, stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell.

Was Death Stranding 2 reworked because playtesters liked it too much? Composer Woodkid speaks out
Yoann 'Woodkid' Lemonine is a French composer who's worn many hats throughout his career. From being a CGI artist in video games to directing the music videos for Taylor Swift's Back To December and Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, the man already had a meaty Resume before being hired by Kojima Productions to work on the upcoming Death Stranding 2. When interviewed by the Rolling Stone magazine, Woodkid was promoting the soundtrack he'd produced for the game, titled Woodkid for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. He then proceeded to reveal many eye-catching details about the game's production, notably how director Hideo Kojima actually reworked the game because playtesters were too uniform in their praise. Kojima wanted the game to be more divisive When asked whether he had any insights to share about Death Stranding 2's development, Woodkid revealed that Kojima believed the uniform approval playtesters gave in their feedback was a problem. As Woodkid put it, Kojima had said: 'I'm going to be very honest, we have been testing the game with players and the results are too good. They like it too much. That means something is wrong; we have to change something.' According to Woodkid, Kojima was very concerned about the finished game having too much mainstream appeal. Worried that these positive reactions were actually indicators of an underlying blandness to the narrative, Kojima actively worked to make the game more polarizing in response. He believed that if players grew to appreciate the story over a prolonged period instead of immediately liking what they saw, the game would end up far more impactful. Woodkid considers Death Stranding 2 a balancing act Woodkid has called Death Stranding 2 both mainstream and radical at the same time, and he believes that is a tricky balance to achieve. As Woodkid put it, artists frequently compromise their creative vision to appeal to the masses, but Kojima's an exception. Woodkid admired his singular dedication to his creative vision, but he also considered Kojima to be receptive to feedback, and considered his collaboration with the game director to be a 'dialogue' rather than a one-sided relationship where he just did as he was told. Hideo Kojima has often worn his Hollywood influences on his sleeve, but Woodkid ended his interview by claiming that just like the Metal Gear franchise, Death Stranding would also prove to be massively impactful, both in gaming and in Hollywood.

Sabrina Carpenter Will Ban Phones At Her Concerts? Here's What We Know
Last Updated: The Manchild hitmaker pointed out that phones being held up at concerts "feels super normal" to her generation. Sabrina Carpenter is considering banning phones at her concerts. The 26-year-old pop star has been inspired by a recent Silk Sonic gig in Las Vegas, where fans' devices were locked away, and she loved the 'beautiful" atmosphere it created. Asked if she's considering similar moves to Silk Sonic, Adele and Madonna, she told Rolling Stone magazine: 'This will honestly p*** off my fans, but absolutely. She said: 'Because I went to see Silk Sonic in Vegas, and they locked my phone. I've never had a better experience at a concert. I genuinely felt like I was back in the '70s — wasn't alive. Genuinely felt like I was there. Everyone's singing, dancing, looking at each other, and laughing. It really, really just felt so beautiful." The Manchild hitmaker pointed out that phones being held up at concerts 'feels super normal" to her generation. She added: 'I've grown up in the age of people having iPhones at shows. It unfortunately feels super normal to me. I can't blame people for wanting to have memories. But depending on how long I want to be touring, and what age I am, girl, take those phones away. You cannot zoom in on my face. Right now, my skin is soft and supple. It's fine. Do not zoom in on me when I'm 80 years old up there." Sabrina also opened up about her pre-show ritual, which isn't actually a world away from her Short n' Sweet Tour video showing her in a bubble bath before she appears on stage in a towel. She said: 'Do you want to picture something really silly? It's me in full glam and stage curls, and I don't put my head in. So it's just from the neck up, I'm like onstage Sabrina, and then from neck down, I'm nude." She also loves plunging outdoors or in spas in each of the cities she visits, and while she doesn't take her crew, she's always joined by her friend Paloma Sandoval and sister Sarah. Paloma admitted: 'I would say I'm addicted to the cold plunge because of her. 'We all have our go-to ice bath song that we listen to, and we know what time it ends. You need to put on your ice-bath song if you're going to be about that life. First Published:

Will Robert Pattinson's Batman Join The DC Universe? James Gunn Has The Answer
Last Updated: James Gunn mentioned that there is a small chance that Robert Pattinson's Batman could join the bigger DC world someday. James Gunn has confirmed that the next Batman movie with Robert Pattinson is still happening, despite rumours of its cancellation. He shared that director Matt Reeves is busy writing the script for the sequel. This Batman story is separate from the main DC Universe (DCU). Gunn added that there is a small chance this version of the Caped Crusader could join the bigger DC world someday. At the same time, DC Studios is working on another Batman film called The Brave and the Bold, which will be part of Gunn's DC Universe. The filmmaker is working closely with the writer to make sure this new Batman has a strong role, instead of being silly. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Gunn said, 'I would never say zero, because you just never know. But it's not likely. It's not likely at all. I'll also say Batman Part II is not cancelled. That's the other thing I hear all the time — that Batman Part II is cancelled. It's not cancelled. We don't have a script. Matt's slow. Let him take his time. Let him do what he's doing. God, people are mean. Let him do his thing, man." 'Batman's my biggest issue in all of DC right now, personally. And it's not, I'm not writing Batman, but I am working with the writer of Batman and trying to get it right, because he's incredibly important to DC, as is Wonder Woman. So, outside of the stuff that I'm doing in the projects that are actively going, our two priorities are finishing our Wonder Woman and our Batman scripts," James Gunn explained. Confirming that The Batman script is still called The Brave and the Bold, Gunn said that the movie won't be made just because he's a popular character. The filmmaker explained that there has to be a proper reason for Batman to exist in the DC Universe. This version will be different from Robert Pattinson's Batman, as Gunn made it clear that he isn't interested in showing a funny or over the top Dark Knight. Instead, he wants a serious story that fits well into his films. Although fans will have to wait longer to see Batman return to theatres, James Gunn is getting ready to launch the new DC Universe with Superman. The film stars David Corenswet as the titular superhero, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as the villain Lex Luthor. It is set to hit cinemas on July 11. First Published:
