Shoppers can pick up the bargain buys just as summer hits and temperatures soar across the UK.
We've rounded up some of the major retailers' offerings and the best products we spotted.
Bear in mind, these are just some of the best deals we've spotted and you might find them cheaper elsewhere.
You can use price comparison websites like Trolley, Price Spy and Price Runner to check out what big retailers are selling a particular item for.
It's worth using the Google Product/Shopping tab to quickly scan the internet to see how much a product is selling for too.
B&Q
B&Q has dropped prices on over 120 outdoor and garden products in its clearance sale, with prices starting from just 50p.
Shoppers can buy a five pack of slated plant labels for 50p down from an original price of £4 - around an 88% discount.
There is also a 40-piece irrigation kit which has been reduced to £10 from £28 - a 65% discount.
Meanwhile, a Burgon and Ball Eco Pot maker kit is now £1.50 instead of £13 - 88% off.
Shoppers should be able to order most of the clearance sale items for home delivery but may be charged. Click and collect through B&Q is usually free.
Shopping discounts - How to make savings and find the best bargains
Homebase
Fellow DIY retailer has also cut prices on a number of its garden and outdoor items.
The retailer hasn't listed "was" and "now" prices on all the reduced products.
So make sure you cross-check how much other retailers are selling a particular item for if it doesn't have these two separate prices so you know you're actually getting a good deal.
Of the products with before and after sale prices listed is included 10 LED solar string lights for £5.59 instead of £6.99 - 20% off.
There's also a "whimsical" blue garden gnome reduced from £14.99 to £11.99 - a 20% discount.
Shoppers can buy wooden garden bordering for £4.99 per 100cm sheet down from £7.99 - 38% off.
It appears home delivery isn't available on the clearance items but click and collect is, which should be free.
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you'll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M's scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you'll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

Dunelm has dropped prices on six of its outdoor and garden products, with up to 30% off.

Shoppers can purchase a Habitat artificial hydrangea cluster for £6.70 instead of £10 - 23% off.
There is also a Rattan garden mirror on sale for £8 down from £11 - 27% off.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you - so don't be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend: Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results. Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock. Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one. CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

'Powerful' Shark fan falls to record low price amid heatwave
Amazon shoppers are beating the heatwave with the Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Fan that's now cheaper than Shark's own price Amazon has undercut Shark's price for a cooling fan that's on offer for a record low price. The Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Cordless Indoor and Outdoor Fan has been reduced from £249.99 to £219. A similar deal is available direct from Shark, where the same fan is down from £249.99 to £219.99. Arguably the main selling point of the Shark fan is its misting feature, powered by the portable and removable MistPro tank. This can be filled with chilled water to enjoy a cool mist outdoors, with Shark claiming it lowers temperatures by up to 6C. The fan can be converted between pedestal and tabletop fan modes at the touch of a button. Simply press, lift away, and enjoy misting and oscillation in both modes. The FlexBreeze boasts five fan speeds and two SmartBreeze modes said to simulate natural wind patterns capable of reaching up to 20 meters. It also has 180° of side-to-side oscillation and a 55° tilt, allowing complete control of the wind direction. The fan can be powered through its main plug for continuous power or cordlessly with a battery life of up to 24 hours, with the portability allowing Brits to beat the heat around the garden. For those looking for a more budget-friendly fan, the JYMIPA Standing Fan (£95.99) has received no negative feedback from Amazon customers and is said to be 'whisper quiet'. Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Fan £249.99 £219 Amazon Get the deal here Product Description Those preferring a bladeless fan can opt for the Russell Hobbs Premium Tower Fan (£59) from Dunelm, which boasts a 4.9-star rating and a flexible seven-hour timer. But the Shark FlexBreeze has won over shoppers, racking up a 4.2-star rating at Amazon and a 4.8 at Shark. One five-star review says: 'The fan is extremely quiet even on higher speeds and acts as advertised, lowers temperatures without mist on, with the mist on outside it works even better. It's expensive but looking at the build quality I'm hoping it will last for years.' Another said: 'A good powerful fan providing a lovely breeze to keep things cool in the conservatory when the sun is out. The water mist is strictly for outdoors as the spray does generate quite a lot of large droplets that gather on the base plate and will also moisten any items nearby. The mist is perfect for those summer barbecues keeping the chef nice and cool. Kids love standing in front of it to help keep them cool while playing in the garden.' However, the same buyer added: 'Only drawbacks would have been nice to have more angle on the oscillation and the ability to adjust the height and not just the angle of the fan.' This happy customer said of the Shark FlexBreeze: 'A must have, whatever the weather. Just another SharkNinja product you never knew you needed. The fan is incredibly effective when used both with and without the misting feature. It's sturdy but easy to manoeuvre and the ability to run for hours off the rechargeable battery is a game changer.'

Dunelm cuts 30% off 'comfortable' £55 sun lounger in flash sale
Dunelm cuts 30% off 'comfortable' £55 sun lounger in flash sale The Amsterdam Charcoal Lounger is, according to shoppers "perfect for relaxing in the garden" And relax... and save money too (Image: Dunelm ) Dunelm has slashed the price of a "very comfortable" sun lounger in its latest sale, offering the Amsterdam Charcoal Lounger at a reduced price of £55.30, down from its usual £79, but only until midnight on Sunday, June 22 according to the company's website. The grey lounger boasts 'breathable' mesh fabric and comes with a detachable pillow. The retailer's website suggests it's perfect for various outdoor activities, but customers particularly praise it as "perfect for relaxing in the garden". For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, Dunelm also offers the Helsinki Lounger at £35, available in four colours. It has a 4.5-star rating, slightly lower than the Amsterdam Lounger's 4.7 stars. In comparison, Argos is selling the new Habitat Cali Metal Sun Lounger in orange for £45, which has received exclusively 5-star reviews to date. READ MORE: Cooling cushions, neck fans and other genius ways to keep cool in a heatwave ALSO: Amazon slashes price of 'massive and brilliant' paddling pool big enough for adults The adjustable Amsterdam lounger has four and five star reviews (Image: Dunelm ) The Amsterdam lounger's notable 30% £23.70 discount and its consistent four and five-star customer feedback make it a standout choice on Dunelm's website, reports the Liverpool Echo. A satisfied customer named Andy comments: "Very comfortable reclining lounger. Well constructed all weather covering is perfect for relaxing in garden Tempted to buy a second one, good value." One satisfied customer says: "Very, very comfortable recliner. This is so comfortable! I bought one of these and the Helsinki, cheaper ones, to compare. The Helsinki is comfortable and good value but this is next level! The padding is very comfortable and it's slightly longer and wider, I'm 5'8" and this is better for me. It folds up easily and is light and easy to store. The locking mechanism allows you to recline (Image: Dunelm ) Buyers will need to keep it out of the rain as the cushion doesn't come off to wash or dry, and one person's feedback added a comment on the locking facility on the lounger, saying: "Tilts back easily but as others have said the locking mechanism doesn't lock, it's no problem if you are on a level surface but if you are on a slight downhill you'll slowly tilt upright!" One purchaser was not worried though, saying, "I've just bought another so we don't fight over this one. It's more than double the price of the Helsinki (when being sold at full price) and you can leave that one out to get wet but I think it's worth it for the comfort." The head rest is a bonus for comfortable sitting but cannot be detached (Image: Dunelm ) Article continues below Another buyer gave the Amsterdam sun lounger four stars, noting one area for improvement: "Fantastic lounger very comfortable and stylish. Love that the armrests are thicker than my last loungers, a lot more comfy and roomy. Relaxing in these is lovely and the material keeps you cool. I dropped my rating by one star due to the fact that these don't recline back enough for my liking, just a few inches more would make them perfect." Alternatively, customers can purchase the Argos Home Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger in grey similar to Dunelm's Amsterdam chair is priced £45, and also in a choice of teal or blue too, if bringing a pop of colour to the garden or balcony is a priority. The yellow version is currently reduced to £30.15, find out more here.

Plymouth Argyle issue cryptic response to shock Gareth Bale takeover links
Plymouth Argyle issue cryptic response to shock Gareth Bale takeover links The Welsh football great is reportedly part of a consortium bidding to take over the League One side Gareth Bale (Image: PA Wire ) Plymouth Argyle chief executive Andrew Parkinson has refused to rule out reports linking Gareth Bale with a sensational move into football club ownership, describing the former Real Madrid star's involvement in a takeover bid as "speculation" at this stage. Stories first published by The Telegraph earlier this week claimed that a United States-based private equity group, fronted by Bale and involving members of the Storch family, was in discussions to purchase full control of the League One club. However, Parkinson was quick to dampen the excitement surrounding the links when questioned at new head coach Tom Cleverley's unveiling at Home Park on Thursday. 'That was really speculation,' Parkinson said. 'You would expect me to say that we are not in a position to be able to talk about any individuals or any investors, but of course when we have got the opportunity to do that we will do.' While neither confirming nor directly denying contact with Bale's consortium, Parkinson reiterated majority owner Simon Hallett's long-standing openness to external investment. Hallett revealed on May 31 that a year-long negotiation with a potential investor had collapsed, and that the club continues to seek the right partners for sustainable long-term growth. Article continues below 'I think Simon has said this numerous times, it's about getting the right people to be involved in the club for the long term,' Parkinson added. 'Simon and the other shareholders have committed for this season to do that and provide the right finances across the board. We will continue discussions for the long term.' The latest reports placed Bale as the public face of the American-led group and suggested he could even assume a chairman-style role if the bid succeeded—mirroring the involvement of former teammate Luka Modric, now a minority shareholder at Swansea City. The Welshman has been out of football since confirming his retirement back in January 2023, shortly after leading his side into the World Cup in Qatar, where they were unfortunately eliminated in the group stages. He finished his club career in the US playing for Los Angeles FC and still spends a lot of time in America. Other celebrity names below the Premier League include NFL legend Tom Brady, who purchased a stake in Birmingham City before they won promotion back to the Championship last season. Meanwhile, American golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas snapped up shares in Leeds United before the club sealed their return to the Premier League. Bale has no previous connection to Plymouth, and the move would clearly come as a huge surprise, although a takeover of the Pilgrims has seemingly been on the cards for some time. Argyle's leadership, however, appear to be keen to keep expectations in check as they attempt to stabilise after a turbulent 18 months that have included five head coaches and relegation from the Championship. Parkinson said the club remains focused on bouncing back under new boss Cleverley, while also building a more robust foundation behind the scenes. 'This is about the long term,' he said. 'It's about how we grow as a football club, how we develop, how we bring players on. We want long-term growth, not just going up and down.' For Bale, whose retirement in early 2023 ended a glittering playing career—including five Champions League titles and stints with Spurs, Real Madrid and LAFC—the links to Argyle mark the latest twist in his post-football evolution. While he's since built a profile as a businessman and pundit, a role in club ownership would represent a significant step into football's boardroom. Article continues below Whether that step will come at Home Park remains to be seen. For now, Plymouth are staying tight-lipped—and Bale's potential leap from superstar to chairman remains just that: potential.
