'Powerful' Shark fan falls to record low price amid heatwave

Amazon shoppers are beating the heatwave with the Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Fan that's now cheaper than Shark's own price Amazon has undercut Shark's price for a cooling fan that's on offer for a record low price. The Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Cordless Indoor and Outdoor Fan has been reduced from £249.99 to £219. A similar deal is available direct from Shark, where the same fan is down from £249.99 to £219.99. Arguably the main selling point of the Shark fan is its misting feature, powered by the portable and removable MistPro tank. This can be filled with chilled water to enjoy a cool mist outdoors, with Shark claiming it lowers temperatures by up to 6C. The fan can be converted between pedestal and tabletop fan modes at the touch of a button. Simply press, lift away, and enjoy misting and oscillation in both modes. The FlexBreeze boasts five fan speeds and two SmartBreeze modes said to simulate natural wind patterns capable of reaching up to 20 meters. It also has 180° of side-to-side oscillation and a 55° tilt, allowing complete control of the wind direction. The fan can be powered through its main plug for continuous power or cordlessly with a battery life of up to 24 hours, with the portability allowing Brits to beat the heat around the garden. For those looking for a more budget-friendly fan, the JYMIPA Standing Fan (£95.99) has received no negative feedback from Amazon customers and is said to be 'whisper quiet'. Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Fan £249.99 £219 Amazon Get the deal here Product Description Those preferring a bladeless fan can opt for the Russell Hobbs Premium Tower Fan (£59) from Dunelm, which boasts a 4.9-star rating and a flexible seven-hour timer. But the Shark FlexBreeze has won over shoppers, racking up a 4.2-star rating at Amazon and a 4.8 at Shark. One five-star review says: 'The fan is extremely quiet even on higher speeds and acts as advertised, lowers temperatures without mist on, with the mist on outside it works even better. It's expensive but looking at the build quality I'm hoping it will last for years.' Another said: 'A good powerful fan providing a lovely breeze to keep things cool in the conservatory when the sun is out. The water mist is strictly for outdoors as the spray does generate quite a lot of large droplets that gather on the base plate and will also moisten any items nearby. The mist is perfect for those summer barbecues keeping the chef nice and cool. Kids love standing in front of it to help keep them cool while playing in the garden.' However, the same buyer added: 'Only drawbacks would have been nice to have more angle on the oscillation and the ability to adjust the height and not just the angle of the fan.' This happy customer said of the Shark FlexBreeze: 'A must have, whatever the weather. Just another SharkNinja product you never knew you needed. The fan is incredibly effective when used both with and without the misting feature. It's sturdy but easy to manoeuvre and the ability to run for hours off the rechargeable battery is a game changer.'

It won't just look tidy, it will cut down on food waste which is bad for your purse and for the planet. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up With a bit of organisation, you can save food from going off, see what needs to be eaten and be inspired to freshen up your meals. GET IN THE ZONE: If you use each part of the fridge in the right way, you'll keep food fresher for longer. Keep ready-to-eat foods on the top shelf, from leftovers to open jars. The middle shelf is perfect for milk, cheese and yoghurt. While on the bottom shelf, store raw meat and fish. Put a tray underneath to catch any dips. Keep fruit and veg in the salad drawers. If you can adjust the humidity, go high for leafy greens and low for fruit. The fridge door is warmer, so is perfect for sauces and fruit juice. MIX AND MATCH: Some fruit and vegetables give off high levels of the natural ripening chemical ethylene, which means they can spoil produce placed nearby. Sophie Trueman from food waste campaign Too Good To Go, says: 'Apples are a major culprit along with pears, bananas, mangoes, plums and nectarines, so it's always best to try and store fruits like these away from each other so they ripen at a steadier pace.' Dunnes Stores fans go wild for NEW must-have summer staples Not all fruits and vegetables are sensitive to ethylene. Cherries, pineapples, grapefruit and blueberries can all be safely stored together or next to those that produce this gas. BERRY GOOD IDEAS: Store berries in the fridge as soon as buying them. Ideally, keep them in a breathable container lined with kitchen roll to absorb excess moisture. You can also line your salad drawer with paper towel to stop things getting soggy. Wrapping vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, green beans and carrots in foil will keep them crisper for longer. Keep salads and herbs away from the back of the fridge, where they could freeze and turn to mush. All prices on page correct at time of going to press. Dunelm cuts 30% off 'comfortable' £55 sun lounger in flash sale

Dunelm cuts 30% off 'comfortable' £55 sun lounger in flash sale The Amsterdam Charcoal Lounger is, according to shoppers "perfect for relaxing in the garden" And relax... and save money too (Image: Dunelm ) Dunelm has slashed the price of a "very comfortable" sun lounger in its latest sale, offering the Amsterdam Charcoal Lounger at a reduced price of £55.30, down from its usual £79, but only until midnight on Sunday, June 22 according to the company's website. The grey lounger boasts 'breathable' mesh fabric and comes with a detachable pillow. The retailer's website suggests it's perfect for various outdoor activities, but customers particularly praise it as "perfect for relaxing in the garden". For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, Dunelm also offers the Helsinki Lounger at £35, available in four colours. It has a 4.5-star rating, slightly lower than the Amsterdam Lounger's 4.7 stars. In comparison, Argos is selling the new Habitat Cali Metal Sun Lounger in orange for £45, which has received exclusively 5-star reviews to date. READ MORE: Cooling cushions, neck fans and other genius ways to keep cool in a heatwave ALSO: Amazon slashes price of 'massive and brilliant' paddling pool big enough for adults The adjustable Amsterdam lounger has four and five star reviews (Image: Dunelm ) The Amsterdam lounger's notable 30% £23.70 discount and its consistent four and five-star customer feedback make it a standout choice on Dunelm's website, reports the Liverpool Echo. A satisfied customer named Andy comments: "Very comfortable reclining lounger. Well constructed all weather covering is perfect for relaxing in garden Tempted to buy a second one, good value." One satisfied customer says: "Very, very comfortable recliner. This is so comfortable! I bought one of these and the Helsinki, cheaper ones, to compare. The Helsinki is comfortable and good value but this is next level! The padding is very comfortable and it's slightly longer and wider, I'm 5'8" and this is better for me. It folds up easily and is light and easy to store. The locking mechanism allows you to recline (Image: Dunelm ) Buyers will need to keep it out of the rain as the cushion doesn't come off to wash or dry, and one person's feedback added a comment on the locking facility on the lounger, saying: "Tilts back easily but as others have said the locking mechanism doesn't lock, it's no problem if you are on a level surface but if you are on a slight downhill you'll slowly tilt upright!" One purchaser was not worried though, saying, "I've just bought another so we don't fight over this one. It's more than double the price of the Helsinki (when being sold at full price) and you can leave that one out to get wet but I think it's worth it for the comfort." The head rest is a bonus for comfortable sitting but cannot be detached (Image: Dunelm ) Article continues below Another buyer gave the Amsterdam sun lounger four stars, noting one area for improvement: "Fantastic lounger very comfortable and stylish. Love that the armrests are thicker than my last loungers, a lot more comfy and roomy. Relaxing in these is lovely and the material keeps you cool. I dropped my rating by one star due to the fact that these don't recline back enough for my liking, just a few inches more would make them perfect." Alternatively, customers can purchase the Argos Home Folding Metal Zero Gravity Sun Lounger in grey similar to Dunelm's Amsterdam chair is priced £45, and also in a choice of teal or blue too, if bringing a pop of colour to the garden or balcony is a priority. The yellow version is currently reduced to £30.15, find out more here.

Garden owners can snap up Dunelm's ‘fabulous' sell-out egg chair for HALF PRICE as stock finally returns

A best-selling egg chair that keeps selling out has been restocked at Dunelm. The unique Santorini egg chair has had a huge 50% discount, which has seen the price cut from £249 to £124.50 in the sale. 1 Santorini Egg Chair £124.50 (was £249) The garden is the perfect place to relax, unwind and soak up the sun - if you've got the right set-up. Amidst the current hot weather, there's even more of a reason to invest in your garden, and egg chairs have become increasingly popular. Earlier this month our money team spotted a similar deal on a Homebase egg chair that's been reduced from £199.99 to £99.99. Dunelm has put a twist on the look that you usually get with this style of chair, replacing plain wood or rattan with a choice of vibrant colours. Two out of four of the colours were discounted, but it's the jade mist shade - a stylish turquoise and white design - that's back in stock. Egg chairs are often costly, so if you were hesitant to buy one full price, the £124.50 discount may tempt you for the sunny months ahead. The Santorini Egg Chair has a spacious-looking seat, with a thick, padded cushion to sink into when you're enjoying a drink or curling up with a book. Not all egg chairs are hanging, but with this one you can gently swing as you kick back and relax in the garden. It's not a new addition to Dunelm, but it's remained a bestseller, and has sold out several times. With the UK experiencing a period of hot weather at the moment, the stock has been replenished just in time for the heatwave. As we all know however, it's always essential to be prepared for less favourable conditions. Thankfully the egg chair is weather-resistant thanks to its powder-coated steel frame, which is known to be durable. The egg chairs aren't the only garden furniture deals in the Dunelm sale, as there are hundreds to choose from before the sale ends at midnight on Sunday (June 22). best solar lights for the garden to add to the cosy atmosphere in the evenings. To create a tropical vibe on a budget, a pair of patio palm trees now costs £20 down from £39.99 at Gardening Express. Flymo lawn mower now has 20% off at Amazon.
