Retail park near Aberdeen hits the market for £18 million
Portlethen Retail Park, located just off the A90 at Muirend Road, is a recent development as it was built on the site of a former Homebase store, which closed in 2018. The building was subsequently subdivided into two new units and is let out to Aldi and Home Bargains. Spanning 107,072 sq ft there are four single-storey units, with each of the buildings featuring metal-clad exteriors with glazed shopfronts facing the car park and service access to the rear. READ MORE: Former schoolhouse in Highlands Unesco World Heritage site hits the market for £120k There is also a fast food truck on a rolling lease. The site offers 530 car parking spaces and benefits from its proximity to an adjacent Asda store and McDonald's drive-through restaurant. The retail park generates a total annual rental income of £1.35 million and has been put up for sale for £18,150,000. Agents say the site offers a secure income profile with 'undoubted covenants' with shoppers in the area spending around £19m a year on non-food items, Regular shoppers at Portlethen Retail Park have been told they don't need to worry as the sale won't mean any changes. All four of the main stores at the site, Aldi, Home Bargains, B&M and Matalan, are reportedly staying put, and the retail park will continue to operate as normal under new ownership.

AS summer arrives, bringing longer days drenched in sunlight, now is the perfect time to turn your attention to the garden and give your cherished plants the care they deserve. While naturally hardy, they flourish best when given some additional nurturing during the balmy summer months. Thankfully, the gardening experts at Homebase have shared their top five tips to help ensure your olive tree stays healthy, vibrant, and thriving all season long. By following their expert advice, you can not only keep your olive tree in top condition but also bring a touch of serene Mediterranean charm to your garden. Taking to their TikTok page, Homebase kicked off their advice with some essential tips: Potting Perfection When choosing a home for your olive tree, always opt for a large pot with excellent drainage. Olive trees hate waterlogged roots, so ensuring proper drainage is key to keeping them happy. Sun-Kissed Bliss These sun-loving trees thrive in full, direct sunlight, so it's vital to position them in a spot that gets plenty of rays throughout the day. I asked ChatGPT how to transform my bedroom in a single step - all I needed was a Homebase buy & now it's like paradise Watering Wisdom Olive trees prefer soil that's lightly moist but never soggy. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's important to strike the right balance when hydrating your tree. Strategic Pruning 4 It's all about the location of where the Olive Tree sits in your garden Credit: TIKTOK Early summer is the ideal time for a little light pruning. This allows you to remove any dead or diseased branches and shape the tree beautifully, encouraging healthy growth and maintaining its structure.
