Robin Propper demands Rangers transfer sitdown as he wants answers, Balogun eyes reunion and Morelos airs pride
The defender is considering a return to former club FC Twente while Alfredo Morelos reflects after 200 goals
Robin Propper has slammed the brakes on his move back to FC Twente until after a sit down with new Rangers boss Russell Martin.
The Dutch defender played 43 games for Gers last season, but was often on the end of stick from fans and pundits alike as he suffered an indifferent campaign after Philippe Clement brought him to Glasgow from the Eredivise.
Twente are keen to bring their former skipper home and a deal could be done to bring the 31-year-old back to the Netherlands for £1.5million
But Jan Streuer, Twente's new sporting director has revealed Propper is still weighing up his options and isnt ruling out staying to fight for his place until he's spoken with Martin.
Streuer said: "We have to wait and see with him. Robin wants to hear from his club on what they're going to do.
"I understand that there are new owners, a new technical director, a new manager and new coaches.
"They always have new ideas and they also bring their own players with them.
"The question is what all this means for Robin. But he's welcome back here."
Meanwhile, Leon Balogun looks set to link up with former Rangers defensive partner Connor Goldson and sign for Cypriot club Aris Limassol.
The veteran Nigerian international was released this summer after ending his second spell at Ibrox.
And he's in talks to join up again with Goldson in Cyprus after ambitious Aris offered him a deal to play on the Mediterranean island.
Goldson moved there last summer after making over 300 appearances in six years for Rangers and he partnered Balogun at the back often.
Aris were disappointed they missed out on the title to Pafos FC and are desperate to push for the league next season.
Balogun and Goldson played together in both of Rangers' recent cup triumphs - in the 2022 Scottish Cup win over Hearts and the League Cup victory against Aberdeen a year later.
Now they could be set to link up again in Cyprus.
Finally, Alfredo Morelos insists he's proud of his career as the ex-Rangers star smashed the 200-goal barrier.
The Colombian ace netted a double for his club Nacional in a 2-1 win at Santa Fe to take him past a double century of goals. He scored a penalty to make it 200 goals and added another later on.
He was picked up a trademark booking after showboating by juggling the ball on his head, which infuriated the opposition players and sparked a bust-up.
Morelos' 201 goals include 124 goals in 269 games for Rangers in a six-year spell.
He's now at homeland club Nacional, where he has scored 22 goals. He's also netted five for his first club, Independiente Medellín, 46 for HJK Helsinki and four in an ill-fated spell at Brazilian giants Santos.
Morelos said: "I'm happy and blessed to achieve this feat because it hasn't been easy.
"Always in my career, I walked onto the pitch with humility and tranquillity.
"To score two goals was wonderful and I am thankful to my coaches and teammates throughout my career for all their help over the years. "I hope to score many, many more goals in my career.
"I had to wait a while to get past the 200-goal barrier. But a goalscorer never forgets to score goals, that's the truth.
"I work every day, showing that I'm up to the task and the net opened up for me. The secret? You have to stay calm in front of goal."

Liverpool shatter club transfer record to sign Germany midfielder Wirtz
June 20 (Reuters) - Liverpool have signed Germany's Florian Wirtz from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, the Premier League champions said on Friday, as they smashed their transfer record to seal a deal for the attacking midfielder. Leverkusen will receive a guaranteed amount of 100 million pounds ($134.64 million) and a further maximum of 16 million pounds in potential bonuses. That makes the 22-year-old Liverpool's most-expensive signing ever, ahead of Netherlands centre back and captain Virgil van Dijk who joined for 75 million pounds in 2017. Wirtz, who signed a five-year contract, also becomes the fifth 100 million pound plus signing in Premier League history, joining Chelsea midfielders Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, Arsenal's Declan Rice and Manchester City winger Jack Grealish. "I feel very happy and very proud. Finally it's done and I was waiting for a long time – finally it's done and I am really happy," Wirtz said in a statement. "I'm really excited to have a new adventure in front of me. This was also a big point of my thoughts: that I want to have something completely new, to go out of the Bundesliga and to join the Premier League." With two years left on his Leverkusen contract, Wirtz was also heavily linked with a move to German champions Bayern Munich and Pep Guardiola's City, who were looking to replace Kevin De Bruyne after the Belgian playmaker's exit. Wirtz was instrumental at Leverkusen, leading them to an undefeated domestic league and Cup double in the 2023-24 season while they went two league seasons without an away defeat. The German bagged 57 goals and provided 65 assists in 197 appearances for Leverkusen, having joined the club from Cologne in 2020. He scored 16 goals, with 15 assists, in 45 matches last season as Leverkusen finished second to Bayern. Capped 31 times by his country since his debut in 2021, Wirtz is the only player to register 10 or more goals and assists in the last two Bundesliga seasons. While his arrival will add to Liverpool manager Arne Slot's midfield options, alongside Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones, Wirtz's versatility means he can also play on the left wing or as a false nine. His signing is a statement of intent from Liverpool as they look to build on their success under Slot, the first Dutch manager to win the Premier League and the sixth coach to win the title in their first season. "I would like to win everything every year! First of all, we have to do our work, I have to make my work," Wirtz added. "In the end, we want to be successful. Last season they won the Premier League so my goal is for sure to win it again and also to go further in the Champions League. I'm really ambitious." He becomes Liverpool's second addition of the transfer window after they signed Dutch right back Jeremie Frimpong, also from Leverkusen. Bournemouth left back Milos Kerkez, 21, has also been linked with the Merseyside club. ($1 = 0.7427 pounds)

Max Aarons to Rangers transfer 'agreed' at last as exact terms revealed over Bournemouth star's move
A deal has reportedly been agreed to take Martin to Ibrox on loan Rangers have reportedly agreed a deal with Bournemouth to take Max Aarons to Ibrox on loan. Russell Martin has wasted no time putting together a list of targets to improve his Rangers team right away with Aarons, Conor Coady and Kwame Poku among the early names to emerge. Tonight it's been reported in Croatia that defender Luka Jelenic is also a target, with centre-back near the top of the priority list amid John Souttar's ongoing injury fears. But it now appears likely Aarons may be the first signing of the Martin era. That's because Sky Sports report a deal has been agreed with the Premier League side to take the right-back, capped 27 times for England's U21s, to Ibrox. It's reported it will be a 'straight loan deal' with no obligation to buy, and there is no mention of a pre-agreed buy option for the 25-year-old. He spent last season on loan at Valencia and is on record as being a big fan of Ibrox boss Martin with whom he last crossed paths while both were players at Norwich. But now it looks as if he's on his way to Glasgow with James Tavernier's position as the starting right-back now seriously under threat. Rangers have of course already signed Lyall Cameron from Dundee but Aarons will become the first player Martin has directly recruited to the club. Speaking earlier today the boss stressed the need to get signings in before the Champions League playoff with Panathinaikos gets underway on July 22. He told club media: 'I think the squad will look different. We will have some players in by then as well, so the earlier we can do that, the better, so they become ingrained in what we are trying to build culturally and in terms of performance. 'The players are back in on Monday. That's the most exciting bit. We will see what the players can do, how we are going to have to adapt and tweak to make it really built-in and ready for us, and then the rest will take care of itself.'
