Travis Kelce Makes Appearance in Official 'Happy Gilmore 2' Trailer originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Travis Kelce has been keeping himself busy during the NFL offseason. These days, the four-time All-Pro tight end has been preoccupied with his preparations for what he's hoping will be a bounce-back season following the Kansas City Chiefs' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl.
According to recent reports, Kelce hunkered down in Boca Raton, Florida, for several weeks to get his body in shape for the upcoming season. On Tuesday, Kelce was spotted checking into the Chiefs' training facility for the first day of their voluntary organized team activities.
Apart from his commitments with the Chiefs, however, Kelce has also had a fair amount of extracurricular activities of late. This includes kicking off his acting career with a significant role in FX's 2024 horror series "Grotesquerie."
Kelce's big career move into the world of acting also involves an appearance in the highly anticipated Adam Sandler film "Happy Gilmore 2." On Saturday, Netflix dropped the first full trailer of the movie, while also confirming the July 25 release date.
In case you missed it, Kelce made a very brief cameo in the trailer at the 1:46 mark. The three-time Super Bowl champion had nothing more than a second of screen time in the trailer, which could be an indication of the minor role he will be playing in the film.
Nevertheless, it's hard to deny that this is still a significant milestone for Kelce in terms of a potential Hollywood career once he's done in the NFL.This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 1, 2025, where it first appeared.

Rams news: Tutu Atwell, Hawaii karaoke and other stories for Cardinals fans

A look at what has been going on with the Cardinals' NFC West rival Rams. We have made it through another week in the NFL offseason, and that means we will check in with the Arizona Cardinals' NFC West rivals. What is new with the LA Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks? Here are a few stories about the Rams from the last week that Cardinals fans should know. Tutu time? The Rams cut receiver Cooper Kupp and saw Demarcus Robinson leave in free agency. Former second-round draft pick Tutu Atwell now has the opportunity to take over as the Rams' No. 3 receiver. Head coach Sean McVay believes that Atwell is "ready to ascend." Rookie TE compared to Rams star The Rams drafted tight end Terrance Ferguson in the second round. He is the highest-drafted tight end by the Rams ever. He was compared to one of the Rams' greats from the past, Ernie Conwell. Rams concerned about LT Alaric Jackson The Rams re-signed Jackson but he has blood clots in his legs for the second time. This leaves the Rams with "some question marks" about whether he will be ready to play in September. They signed former Cardinals first-round pick D.J. Humphries soon after they learned of Jackson's condition. Karaoke in Hawaii The Rams held their minicamp in Maui last week. Apparently, they had a little fun, which included some karaoke singing. Stafford can move up all-time lists Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is 10th all-time in both career passing yards and career touchdown passes. By the end of 2025, he could move up three spots in passing yards and, with a special season, two in touchdown passes. Phillies Expected to Platoon Max Kepler and Otto Kemp in Left Field Once Bryce Harper Returns

Phillies Expected to Platoon Max Kepler and Otto Kemp in Left Field Once Bryce Harper Returns originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Philadelphia Phillies have made their way back and have tied the New York Mets atop the National League East. They've done so without their superstar first baseman, Bryce Harper. Once he returns, the team should be off and running. Though his return does present an interesting challenge. Advertisement With Otto Kemp proving to be a solid hitter for the Phillies in the Major Leagues, the team is looking for ways to keep him in the lineup consistently. One of the ways that the Phillies could keep him in the lineup is by shaking things up in the outfield, specifically left field. In an article from Charlotte Varnes of The Athletic, the Phillies are expected to make a move once Harper returns from the injured list. They plan to have Kemp and Max Kepler split time in left field in a platoon. Kepler against right-handed pitchers, and Kemp against lefties. "But Otto Kemp," Varnes writes. "Who saw limited time in left field in Triple A, could now 'possibly' play alongside Kepler in a strict platoon, Thomson said." Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper (3) walks towards the dugout after the third out against the Toronto Blue Jays during the fourth inning at Rogers Turchiaro-Imagn Images This update from Thomson, with the plan to platoon Kepler and Kemp in left field, comes on the heels of demoting Weston Wilson to Triple-A and calling up Buddy Kennedy. Advertisement Kennedy will provide infield depth, with the ability to play first base. Wilson previously handled the left field platoon duties, but now Kemp is expected to take over that role. Kemp, meanwhile, can split time in left field with Kepler, with the hope that the platoon will help improve the Phillies' left field spot, which has been one of the worst in recent years. With Kepler's 1.006 OPS since June 9th and Kemp's .282 batting average since June 7th, the team wants to use both in the lineup. This decision, in theory, would elevate the team's offense, as they would have the platoon advantage against lefties and righties. With Harper's spot on the field being at first base, Kemp would have nowhere to play. But, with his prior experience in left field, and the team's desire to get him into the lineup, Kemp and Kepler are expected to platoon in left field once Harper returns. Phillies Could Reportedly Put Jesus Luzardo in Bullpen After Latest Development

Phillies Could Reportedly Put Jesus Luzardo in Bullpen After Latest Development originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It seems forgotten that the Philadelphia Phillies will be without Jose Alvarado for the postseason. For the Phillies, they have to worry about getting there first, as the National League is loaded. However, the Phillies, at 44-30, seem to be in a good position to make the playoffs, at the very least. Advertisement But for Philadelphia, there are plenty of things it has to consider. If the Phillies want to be the team they're looking to be, it might require them to replace Alvarado with a reliever at the deadline. Despite that, The Athletic doesn't expect that to be the case. The reason is that someone like Jesus Luzardo could be pitching as a reliever in October. Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jesus Luzardo (44) walks to the dugout at the end of the fourth inning against the Colorado Rockies at Coors J. Downing-Imagn Images 'Because I think one of the three lefties in the current rotation (Cristopher Sánchez, Ranger Suárez, Jesús Luzardo) will be pitching as a reliever in October,' Matt Gelb wrote. Putting Luzardo in the bullpen in October would be a bit of a surprise, given what he did in the early stages of the campaign. Advertisement Entering the month, he had a 3.58 ERA, and on May 25, he had a 2.15 ERA. However, since then, he's been below average, allowing 25 earned runs in his last four starts. While that's very inflated because of a 12-run outing against the Milwaukee Brewers, the left-hander still has a 4.41 ERA and has struck out 97 hitters in 83.2 innings. He was a Cy Young candidate just a few weeks ago. Everything will play out the way it's supposed to, and the Phillies will make a decision then, but Luzardo going to the bullpen would be a surprise.
