Priyanka Chopra reunited with one of her favourite talk show hosts, Jimmy Fallon, on The Tonight Show. The actor, who's currently promoting her upcoming film Heads of State with Idris Elba and John Cena, opened up about life with her daughter Malti, marking her first appearance on the show since becoming a mom. During the chat, Priyanka shared how the family had hunkered down in New York for a while due to Nick's Broadway schedule, while she flew back and forth to India for shoots.
While talking about her upcoming action-comedy Heads of State, Priyanka Chopra revealed that John Cena turned out to be the exact opposite of what she'd expected. 'They're both the most incredible guys,' said Priyanka. She recalled meeting them for the first time, saying, 'I was very nervous.' 'John is like the opposite of what I expected,' she said. 'I'd never met him before.' On the other hand, she shared that she's known Idris for a while and is friends with his wife. Since she had never met Cena, she decided to break the ice with a joke: 'You know, I came in expecting not to see him,' referencing the iconic 'You can't see me' meme. Even Jimmy Fallon paused for a second before catching the sarcasm and apologising for not getting the joke immediately.

'The first scene we were doing together, I just went for it—I did the pose in front of him like 'I don't see you,'' she said. At that moment, John and Idris were standing next to each other. As soon as she did the pose, Idris subtly signalled her to stop and told her not to do that in front of John.
'I was like, now I've offended him,' Priyanka said. Later, Idris told her that Cena hates it when someone does that pose to his face. The whole incident left her sweating.
Speaking of Malti, she called her precocious, funny, and 'a little comedian,' adding, 'She's the light of our lives.' Later, when Jimmy asked if she was stuck listening to baby music, Priyanka laughed and said Malti's love for music cuts across all genres. The Citadel star revealed Malti is crazy over the American animated musical adventure film Moana and said, 'She wears a Moana dress all day and Moana 2 is her favourite,' while talking about their recent visit to Disney World. She further added that her daughter has a varied sense of music. 'She listens to APT, it's her favourite song by the way,' she said, even belting out the hook lines of the song with Jimmy. 'Every morning,' she added, saying it's her morning song. Hearing that, a curious Jimmy asked if she listened to any of her dad's stuff, any Jonas Brothers songs. Priyanka replied, 'I think she doesn't identify them,' but added, 'she calls them the Doughnut Brothers,' leaving everyone in stitches. 'Will you right now trademark that name?' Jimmy teased, suggesting they should actually make merch out of it, adding he'd buy it like a 'Labubu' doll.
Priyanka also revealed how they've now settled on the East Coast for the summer, with Malti having her own little clique of friends, calling her highly sociable and saying, 'Her schedule is crazier than mine. There are so many classes. Kids do so much. She wants to socialise with other babies.' Previously, Nick, too, had revealed how they're sending her to karate and piano lessons. 'She's in nursery school here in New York. She's got her little friend group, and it's wild. We also put her in a bunch of classes,' he shared. 'These toddler schedules are way more intense than my schedule.'

Priyanka Chopra took her family on a trip to Turks and Caicos after her passed away, recalls mother: ‘We hadn't cried until then'

Priyanka Chopra's father Ashok Chopra passed away after a long illness in 2013 and the family went through a rather difficult phase in trying to cope with their loss. In a recent interview, Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra shared that for months after Ashok's death, the three members of the family – her, Priyanka, and son Siddharth, were grieving on their own and weren't talking to each other about their feelings. Six months later, Priyanka decided that the family needed to come together to cope with the loss and so, the three of them went on a vacation to Turks and Caicos. In a chat with Debinna Bonnerjee on her YouTube channel, Madhu shared, 'We were just immersed into each other. I had no life outside of my family, we were too tight. Priyanka and Siddharth also… Priyanka would just go to work and come back. We were a very tight unit.' Talking about her husband's death, Madhu shared, 'The loss was not sudden, we knew he was ill so we were mentally prepared a little bit but when the loss actually happened, all three of us were grieving on our own, in different ways. Six months into that, Priyanka said this is not working, we have to share with each other, we have to be together so she took us on a holiday to Turks and Caicos, just the three of us.' 'We hadn't cried until then. We wouldn't speak to each other, just all three of us quietly moving around, going on with our lives as if nothing happened, that was like our defence mechanism. I wouldn't cry thinking how will the kids handle it, kids wouldn't cry because they didn't want me to feel bad,' she said. Madhu said that this vacation changed their perspective on loss and shared, 'We spent a week there, bonded very well, spoke what we wanted to speak, came back so refreshed we could get back to work with new energy. These things don't fade, don't go away, the hurt stays but you learn how to deal with it and it becomes easier to deal with it.' In an earlier chat with Lehren Retro, Madhu shared that six days after her husband's death, her daughter threw her a birthday party. 'After his passing, we were grieving, but Priyanka insisted that we go ahead with the party and asked everyone to stay. She said, 'That's what dad would have wanted',' she shared and added that John Abraham showed up like a birthday present at this party. 'They had requested John to come at midnight, wrapped like a birthday present. Imagine that! Priyanka said, 'Mom has to have her moment.' It was such a fun party with a DJ and music. But the rest of the family sat there gloomily, saying, 'Look at her! She's dancing! Does she not grieve for her husband?' Meanwhile, I was thinking, 'My daughter arranged all this; my kids put in so much effort. They're all suffering and grieving, but this is how she is honouring her dad.' Priyanka even said, 'I am honouring his wish and you better fall in line with it.' That's the person she is,' she said.

Paps spotted her leaving NBC Studios after wrapping up the taping, and spoiler alert she looked like a total knockout (pun very much intended). The official Tonight Show Instagram gave fans a sneak peek with some behind-the-scenes snaps and a fun clip where Priyanka showed Jimmy how to properly throw a punch. Let's just say, she could totally hold her own in a spy movie… oh wait, she literally is. For her appearance, PC went full-on femme fatale in a sleek black leather bodycon dress that fit her like a glove. The strapless, square neckline brought all the drama, while the back slit added just enough movement to keep things effortlessly chic. If you're on the hunt for the perfect LBD, this one's giving all the inspo. She amped things up with bold black heels and some serious sparkle - courtesy of Bvlgari, of course. We're talking a chunky diamond ring and a shimmering silver choker that could blind you in the best way. Her glam? Totally red carpet ready. She rocked her hair in loose waves with a center part and soft bangs framing her face. The makeup was soft yet striking - glossy berry lips, fluttery lashes, glowing skin, and a touch of rosy blush that tied it all together. Basically, she looked like a million bucks. And let's not forget why she was there. Priyanka's promoting her new action-packed flick Heads of State, where she plays MI6 agent Noel Bisset aka the one responsible for saving the world (no big deal). Her mission? Keep Idris Elba (playing the UK Prime Minister) and John Cena (as the US President) alive while navigating a massive global conspiracy. Sounds intense and we're so here for it.
