We were in New York, hunkered down." The actress added, 'I'm filming a movie in India, so I fly back and forth from there. So we're based in this East Coast summer right now, and she's (Malti) going to school here. She has her little clique of friends, and her schedule's even crazier than mine. There are so many classes. Kids do so much… She wants to socialise with other babies." Priyanka also revealed Malti's favourite movie and song. 'She, by the way, Moana has been a favourite. She loves… she wears a Moana dress all day and Moana 2 is her favourite. But she has a varied sense of music. She listens to… APT is her favourite song, by the way. Every morning. Morning song," the actress said. When asked if Malti listens to any Nick Jonas or Jonas Brothers' songs, Priyanka laughed and said, 'I mean, she doesn't identify them, but she calls them 'The Doughnut Brothers'… Isn't it amazing? We should merch that… Let's make that into the new Labubu." Priyanka appeared on Jimmy Fallon's show to promote her upcoming Hollywood film, Heads of State. The film also stars Idris Elba and John Cena. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra is also shooting her Indian comeback film with Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli. Who was Arthur Folasa Ah Loo? Fashion designer killed at 'No Kings' protest; police say he was not the target
Arthur Folasa Ah Loo was tragically shot and killed on Saturday during a protest in Salt Lake City. He was 39. Ah Loo was a celebrated Samoan fashion designer known for dressing stars like Auli'i Cravalho and members of 'The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,' Ah Loo was attending a 'No Kings' protest when gunfire broke out. According to Salt Lake City police, he 'was not the intended target of the gunfire.' Despite efforts by first responders, he died later at a local hospital. Cravalho, best known for voicing the title character in Disney's Moana, paid tribute to Ah Loo on social media, writing, 'There are no words to hold the grief of losing you. Your artistry will never be forgotten; and neither will your peaceful protest. My deepest condolences, sympathies and Aloha to his family, and all who felt his impact.' Two men who were acting as part of the protest's 'peacekeeping team' were detained after the shooting. One of them reportedly fired the bullet that struck Ah Loo. Police said the men confronted Arturo Gamboa, 24, after spotting him manipulating an AR-15-style rifle away from the crowd. When they ordered him to drop the weapon, Gamboa allegedly ran into the crowd with the rifle in a 'firing position.' One of the 'peacekeepers' fired three shots, striking both Gamboa and Ah Loo. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Jlo's Daughter Steals The Show With Her Mom's Iconic Green Dress CleverClassic Undo Gamboa was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on a murder charge. Celebrated designer Arthur Folasa Ah Loo founded the fashion house Afa Ah Loo and was praised for his colourful designs that highlighted his Pacific Islander heritage. His work was well loved in the Polynesian community and gained wider attention after he appeared on Project Runway in 2019. Although he left the show early, his designs were well received. In the years that followed, he dressed several well-known Pacific Islanders. Moana 2 co-director David Derrick Jr. called him a 'pillar in the community' and added, 'I already miss you Uso. Thank you for blessing our lives.' Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced Moana, also shared memories of Ah Loo. She said he designed the outfit she wore for the Moana 2 world premiere, which she described as 'the most significant event of my career.' Cravalho called his work 'thoughtful, elegant and powerful portrayals of Pacific culture.' Ah Loo's fashion journey began in high school. He once shared with the Salt Lake City Tribune that a failed cooking assignment led his teacher to guide him towards sewing. 'The very first week, we were cooking brownies, I believe,' he said. 'Instead of baking something, I fried it and I almost burned down the kitchen... The teacher was like, 'I think cooking is not your thing. I think maybe we should switch you over to sewing. '' Outside of his career, Ah Loo focused on his family. He often made clothes for them and dedicated a full collection to his daughter Vera. 'Dedicated to her and her free spirit and love for everything and anything creative!' he wrote. Ah Loo also co-founded Creative Pacific, a nonprofit that supports Pacific Islander artists and designers. The organisation was set to host a fashion show at the end of July, according to NBC News. Ah Loo is survived by his wife and two young children, according to a GoFundMe page for his family that raised over $100,000 in 48 hours.

Protester killed at Utah 'No Kings' rally was fashion designer from 'Project Runway'
The 39-year-old man shot and killed at a weekend 'No Kings' protest in Salt Lake City was a successful fashion designer and former 'Project Runway' contestant who devoted his life to celebrating artists from the Pacific Islands. Arthur Folasa Ah Loo was killed when a man who was believed to be part of a peacekeeping team for the protest shot at a person brandishing a rifle at demonstrators, accidentally striking Ah Loo. Ah Loo later died at the hospital, authorities said. Detectives don't yet know why the alleged rifleman pulled out a weapon or ran from the peacekeepers, but they charged him with murder and accused him of creating the dangerous situation that led to Ah Loo's death, Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd said at a Sunday news conference. Ah Loo leaves behind his wife and two young children, according to a GoFundMe for his family that raised over $100,000 in 48 hours. The 'self-taught' fashion designer born in Samoa, known to many as Afa, devoted his life to doing 'the good things for his neighbors and community," state Rep. Verona Mauga said. Mauga was at the 'No Kings Protest' a few blocks from where Ah Loo was shot. She said she only had a sense that something was wrong when she saw the crowd running. As tragic as his death is, she said, Ah Loo would have been proud that his last moments were spent fighting for what he believed in. 'If Afa was going to go out any other way than natural causes, it would be standing up for marginalized and vulnerable communities and making sure that people had a voice,' Mauga told The Associated Press on Monday. While he wasn't typically overtly political, Ah Loo had a knack for connecting 'culture and diversity and service,' and bringing people together, Mauga said. Ah Loo was a co-founder of the nonprofit Create Pacific, which celebrates and uplifts artists from the Pacific Islands. He was working on an upcoming July fashion show when he died. Ah Loo's vibrant work has earned numerous accolades over the years. He was a contestant in 2017 on Bravo's 'Project Runway,' a reality television show where fashion designers compete in front of celebrity judges to create runway looks on tight deadlines. Recently, Ah Loo designed a garment for the star of the Disney Channel animated movie Moana 2, Hawaiian actor Auliʻi Cravalho. Cravalho wore the outfit, which combined traditional and modern aesthetics from her culture, to the film's red carpet premiere in Hawaii last November. 'This was the first time I was so active in helping to design a custom look, and Afa surpassed what I had envisioned,' Cravalho told the magazine at the time. But not all of his work was high-profile, Mauga said. Ah Loo would volunteer his time and resources to tailor clothing for people who needed help, often refusing to let people compensate him for his work, Mauga said. Sometimes, Ah Loo would playfully criticize the outfits the newly elected Democratic representative wore on the campaign trail, and invite her to his studio so he could make her a new set of blazers. He would also make her dresses for events, sometimes just on a couple of hours notice. 'Afa was so much a part of the community,' she said.
