That's rock n' roll, baby! Linkin Park's new lead singer, Emily Armstrong, took a break in the middle of the band's set at the Rock For People music festival in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, to give an enthsuastic long-haired fan a haircut.
In the middle of the set, the new lead singer, who joined the band in 2024 after the tragic death of former frontman Chester Bennington in 2017, hopped into the crowd to shave off a fan's long hair in the middle of the show. The crazy moment was shared by the The Noise on Instagram, and fans were shocked by it.
"Emily shaving a fan's head in the middle of Linkin Park set is both 'what the f--k is going on' and 'THATS ROCK N ROLL BABYYYY' at the same time," one impressed fan wrote on X. "Welcome to the Linkin Park family, sometimes the lead singer will cut your hair while she's on stage," added another.
An eyewitness shared a video showing that the moment was sparked when Armstrong saw the fan holding a handwritten sign that said "Emily, cut my hair." She got a pair of scissors from a crew member backstage, but the fan was prepared for the occasion and brought his own electric shaver.
After trimming his locks off the front of his head, Armstrong left a chunk on the back of his head. "You gotta leave some in the back for the party, baby!" she yelled. After holding up his sign for the crowd to see, she added, "F--k yeah dude, you rule!"
