Thanks to David Krumholtz of "The Santa Clause" fame, we've gotten our very first glimpse at the official logo for next year's "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow"... or perhaps just "Supergirl"? Krumholtz shared a picture of his set chair on his official Instagram page, announcing he'd wrapped his part of the film. The first image showed just his character's name - Zor-El, Supergirl's father - while the second unveiled the logo. You can see the images below.

Krumholtz captioned his images with, "Wrapped! Incredible experience working on #Supergirl with @millyalcock @emily_beecham Thanks, Craig Gillespie, Peter Safran & @jamesgunn and an absolutely incredible London-based cast & crew! @dcofficial."

The image shows the same S logo from the upcoming "Superman" but with "SUPERGIRL" blazoned across it. It begs the question of whether or not, like "Superman", which was originally going to be called "Superman: Legacy" - "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" has likewise changed its name to simply "Supergirl".
Whatever it's called, when it bows next June, it won't be the first live-action "Supergirl" film. A "Supergirl" starring Helen Slater as the titular hero was released in 1984, spinning out of the film series starring Christopher Reeve. Unfortunately, the film only made $14.3 million, not even half of its $35 million production budget.
More recently, a "Supergirl" TV series launched in 2015 on CBS with Melissa Benoist as the lead. The series eventually moved to The CW and crossed over with shows like "The Flash" and "Arrow." "Supergirl," the series lasted 6 seasons, shuttering in 2021.
The official logline for "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" reads, "While celebrating her 21st birthday, Kara Zor-El travels across the galaxy with Krypto, during which she meets the young Ruthye and embarks on a 'murderous quest for revenge'." The film is based on the acclaimed 2021-22 miniseries of the same name, written by Tom King and drawn by Bilquis Evely.
"Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" releases in theaters June 26, 2026. The film is directed by Gillespie from a script by Ana Nogueira. The feature stars Milly Alcock, Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham.
While we have to wait until next year to meet Supergirl, we'll get to meet her cousin a lot sooner. James Gunn's long-awaited "Superman" hits theaters July 11 starring David Corenswet as the eponymous Man of Steel.

Anderson Cooper Forced To Take Shelter In Israel While Live On Air
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Anderson Cooper and other CNN journalists fled to a bomb shelter during a live broadcast from Israel after receiving a "10-minute warning of incoming missiles" from Iran overnight on Monday. The 58-year-old was anchoring his Anderson Cooper 360° show from an outdoor terrace in Tel Aviv with CNN's chief international correspondent Clarissa Ward and Jerusalem correspondent Jeremy Diamond when their phones simultaneously chimed with an alert. "So, these are the alerts that go out on all of our phones when you're in Israel," Cooper said. "It's a 10-minute warning of incoming missiles or something, incoming from Iran. "So now the location we're in has a verbal alarm telling people to get down into bomb shelters. So, we've got a 10-minute window to get down into a bomb shelter. And we'll continue to try to broadcast from that bomb shelter, and even if we can on the way down." Ward asked Cooper if "we should finish this," first, apparently referring to the segment. Anderson appeared to laugh and said, "Er, we should probably go down!" The camera followed the group through a hotel, which was broadcasting its own warning to its guests, as they walked through corridors and into an elevator before arriving at the shelter. This is a breaking news story. Updates to follow.

No weights, no problem — this is the 15-minute no-equipment workout I'm doing to keep up my strength training on holiday
When I go on holiday, working out isn't a priority for me. However, I do like to give myself the option, so I often pack a pair of my best running shoes into my luggage for either a run or a quick visit to the hotel gym. I'm heading to Portugal next week and staying in a rental apartment, so with no gym available, I've been on the hunt for a no-equipment strength workout I can do from anywhere. One trainer who never lets me down when I need a quick and effective home-friendly workout is Kayla Itsines. With nearly 16 million Instagram followers, I know I'm not the only one who loves her content. That's where I came across her travel-friendly full-body workout, and it went straight into my saved posts. It includes six moves performed across three sets, which might sound like a lot, but the full routine only takes 15 minutes to complete. I gave it a test run before packing and found it quick, effective and surprisingly energizing. As I'm an early riser. Even on holiday, I'll likely be doing this routine out on the balcony before everyone else wakes up. That said, it's the kind of workout you could easily squeeze in during a midday siesta or before heading out for dinner. If you're heading somewhere warm and planning to keep up your running, the Saucony Triumph SG is a great pick. It's lightweight, breathable, and has a quick-pull lacing system that makes it easy to slip on and go. A post shared by KAYLA ITSINES (@kayla_itsines) A photo posted by on There are six exercises involved, all demonstrated by Itsines in the post above. It's worth watching her video so you can note the correct form. Each exercise is listed below. You'll spend 30 seconds on each move, so make sure to do this on each side for the unilateral exercises and don't forget to do all three rounds. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Itsines' routine is proof that you don't need a gym or a lot of time to get a solid full-body workout in. With six simple bodyweight moves repeated across three rounds, it targets your major muscle groups and gets your heart rate up in just 15 minutes. You'll kick things off with double-pulse sumo squats, a lower-body move that works your inner thighs and glutes while building strength and stability in your hips. Then it's into glute kickbacks and fire hydrants, which isolate the glutes and help improve balance, especially since you'll be working one side at a time. The commando and hover-to-plank combo brings in upper-body strength and core control, challenging your shoulders, arms and abs. Finally, ab bikes round things off with a burst of core work that also gives your obliques some attention. While it's quick, this type of session helps you build functional strength — the kind you use in everyday movements like climbing stairs, bending, or carrying things. As it's bodyweight-based, you're not just building muscle, but also working on your balance, mobility and endurance. The combination of core activation, unilateral work (where you focus on one side at a time) and full-body engagement means you're training in a balanced way that can help reduce injury risk and support long-term strength goals, too.
