Green High School alum Maxwell Moldovan has one of the early highlights at Oakmont Country Club.
On the first hole of his first round at the 2025 U.S. Open Golf Championship, former Green and Ohio State golfer needed just two strokes to get his ball into the cup, earning him an eagle on the par-4 hole.
Moldovan, who turned pro in June 2024 and in April won his first pro event at the PGA Tour Americas Brazil Open, was one of four players in a field of 83 to qualify out of Springfield Country Club, located in Springfield, Ohio. He put together rounds of 69-65 to go 5 under, which sent him to the U.S. Open.

This is his fourth straight year competing in the event.

Ohio State men's hockey releases 2025-2026 nonconference schedule
The Ohio State men's hockey team surprised a lot of people with their unexpectedly high level of play this past season. The Buckeyes lost a lot of key players but found a way to plug in more talent and shock a lot of people by making it to the Big Ten Tournament Championship Game en route to a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Things didn't end all that well on the national scale in the postseason, but it was still an overachieving year in which OSU went 24-12-2 overall and finished third in the League with a 14-9-1 record. It was a fun season, one that it hopes it can build momentum off of and take it into this upcoming season. And while we won't know the Big Ten schedule until a future date, the program did announce its nonconference schedule this past week, so if you are an ice hockey fan, and one that loves to watch the Scarlet and Gray, you've got something to look forward to. All told, the Buckeyes will host five nonconference games and go on the road for another five. Ohio State football set for massive recruiting weekend. Here's all 17 players attending.
The Ohio State football program has welcomed several prospects to its camps over the last few weeks, and this weekend is the last official visit weekend for the Buckeyes. In total, there are a whopping 17 prep players being hosted by the OSU staff, so it's time to pull out all of the stops. Ohio State has had a few players announce their verbal pledges after going on an official visit over the last few weeks, and I wouldn't put it wouldn't be surprising at all if there were some more news coming out of this one as well. We know you are interested in exactly who is coming to the banks of the Olentangy, so we have the complete 17-player list for you. All but one of the 17 have received an offer from the Scarlet and Gray, and you can bet the players are checking things out just as much as the Ohio State staff is, at least all but the seven that are already verbally committed (notated below). Here's a look at all of the players -- and their 247Sports profiles -- expected to be on campus this weekend as the Buckeyes put a wrap on official visit season. Saints sign three UFL players
The Saints made official the departures of cornerback Travion Fluellen and running back Xazavian Valladay, who were waived Friday. The Saints also announced three signings. Tight end Seth Green, cornerback Jayden Price and offensive tackle Barry Wesley are joining New Orleans on one-year contracts. Green, 27, played the past two seasons for the UFL's Arlington Roughnecks. In 2025, he caught 13 passes for 150 yards with a touchdown. Green played his college ball at Minnesota from 2017-20 before transferring to Houston in 2021. He caught 13 passes for 157 yards with three touchdowns in his last collegiate season before going undrafted in 2022. He spent two months on the practice squad with Cowboys in 2022 and also participated in Dallas' 2023 training camp and preseason. Price originally signed with the Falcons as a free agent following the 2024 draft out of North Dakota State but did not make the roster. He was a teammate of Green's with the Renegades this spring, recording 27 tackles and half a sack while adding 194 punt return yards and 337 kickoff return yards. In the fall of 2024, Price played one game for the Canadian Football League's Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Wesley played for the Seattle Sea Dragons of the XFL in the 2023 spring season coming out of Colorado State, where he played from 2018-21. After the XFL season, he signed with the Falcons and made the practice squad out of the preseason. After competing with the Falcons in the 2024 preseason, Wesley joined the UFL's Birmingham Stallions for the 2025 spring season. He started nine of 11 games played, seeing action at tackle and guard, and was a nominee for the league's Sportsman of the Year award.
