Lindsay Lohan is learning to 'take moments for herself to relax'.
The 38-year-old star is enjoying her career revival and family life, particularly as 'everything was just moving so quick' during her rise to fame as a child star.
She told E! News: 'I feel great, I'm really happy, I love what I'm doing. I feel like when I was younger, everything was just moving so quick.
'Now it's nice that I'm older and wiser, and I know how to take moments for myself to relax.
'I like to give me work my all, but then when I'm with my son I wanna give him my all, or my husband, I wanna give him my all. 'I like to have all those parts of my life working together.'
The 'Freakier Friday' actress - who has two-year-old son Luai with her husband Bader Shammas - also opened up on her favourite way to relax during her downtime in the evenings.
She said: 'I think a massage is nice. the other night I was like, to my husband, 'We're getting couple massages, it's not up for debate, it's just happening.'
'[And] cuddling with my son before he sleeps, that actually relaxes me a lot, just holding him. I just wanna savour these moments.'
Lindsay is still keeping busy and enjoying what has been dubbed by some as the 'Lohanaissance', and she has some big career goals still in mind.
She explained: 'Eventually, at some point, I really, really do wanna direct. It's definitely something on my bucket list.
'I've grown up on sets and I've learned so much from the directors and people that I've worked with. I don't know when, but at some point!'
However, last month Lindasy pointed out she will only accept certain projects that 'work around' her family life.
She told Entertainment Weekly: 'Everything I do is [about] what's going to work for my family. 'If something works around that, it's meant to happen. If it doesn't work around that, it's a no-go.'

Shia LaBeouf ‘lived in a park'

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Shia LaBeouf spent months 'living in the park' while preparing for a Broadway role. The 38-year-old actor has reflected on the turbulent time he had with Alec Baldwin when they were due to star together in 'Orphans' in 2013, and he's admitted he was 'not in a good way' at the time, spending his nights in Central Park. He told The Hollywood Reporter: 'When [Alec] came in, I'm living in the park and I'm on steroids and I'm not in a good way... 'I was sleeping in Central Park. They keep horses there at this little fire basin. And there's a whole lot of room around there where you can just chill. You got to move every three or four hours and the guy comes around, but you can spend most of your time there.' He then clarified: 'For most of the prep.' Shia - who eventually left the production due to the tensions - had originally been due to star in 'Orphans' with Al Pacino, but the 'Godfather' star dropped out close to opening night, leaving him feeling 'insecure' and 'desperate' to impress his new co-star, but Alec got 'competitive' and things became 'contentious'. He said: 'By the time Baldwin got there, it was almost unfair. So he's dealing with both my fractured little weak ego, right? All this hard prep that I'd done for two years, and my desperate need to show him all my prep, or that he would accept me somehow. I was so insecure.'

Eva Longoria explores ‘family heritage' on Searching for Spain

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Eva Longoria learned more about her 'Spanish heritage' while shooting her new documentary. The 50-year-old actress previously explored the culture and food of Mexico on 'Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico', her 2023 documentary series - but Eva admits that she learned much more about her own family heritage while filming the follow-up series, 'Eva Longoria: Searching for Spain'. The Hollywood star - who has Mexican and Spanish ancestry - told Byrdie: 'I'm Mexican American and I always felt at home in Mexico. I knew [the country] and learned even more while doing 'Searching for Mexico'. 'But my dad had always said we were also from Spain. I used to say, 'No, we're not.' Then I took a DNA test, and it was confirmed.' Eva jumped at the chance to film a follow-up series in Spain, and it proved to be hugely informative for the actress. She said: 'When CNN wanted to do the next season, I said, 'We should do Spain because my ancestors are from Spain.' Shooting 'Searching for Spain' was different, though, because I didn't know [the country] as well. 'In this series, you'll see that my questions are genuine and my curiosity is heightened. I was excited to learn more about my Spanish heritage.' Eva loves that she has such a personal connection to the new documentary series.
