Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the module, which was launched in November last year, among other things, aims to increase reproductive health awareness among the community, especially students, teachers and parents.
Advertisement 'The existence of social media pages that display pornographic and immoral content needs to be curbed,' she said. At the same time, she also urged parents to play a proactive role at home by educating and protecting children from the threat of sexual harassment. Perlis LPPKN Encourages Childless Couples To Get free BuAI Services
KANGAR, June 23 (Bernama) -- The National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) of Perlis encourages couples who are still childless after being married for a year to obtain the services provided under the Fertility Treatment Assistance and Infertility Advocacy (BuAI) Programme for free. Perlis LPPKN acting director Fairee Osman @ Azmi said that in addition to guidance and advocacy, the initiative also provides early fertility screening facilities and appropriate treatment assistance as well as referrals to health facilities under LPPKN. He said that, so far, only eight couples in the state are involved in the programme, compared to its targeted 100 couples this year.

Speaking at the Regional Webinar on Psychological and Spiritual Well-being 2025 hosted by Ipdas, Arifin stressed the link between community wellness and a stable psychological foundation. He cited 2022 Health Ministry data showing alarming rates of depression (26.9 per cent), loneliness (16.2 per cent), and suicidal thoughts (13.1 per cent) among Malaysian teenagers, calling it a national concern requiring urgent integrated action. Arifin argued that psychology and spirituality must be addressed together, warning that neglecting one undermines the other and weakens community resilience. World Veterinary Day 2025 Honours Contributions Of Veterinary Profession
GENERAL PUTRAJAYA, June 23 (Bernama) -- The 2025 World Veterinary Day celebration took place today at Wisma Tani, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM), to honour the role and contributions of veterinarians in animal health, food security, and public health in the country. In a statement today, KPKM said the event was officiated by the ministry's deputy secretary-general (Development), Datuk Badrul Hisham Mohd, who, in his speech, emphasised the importance of collaboration among various stakeholders to ensure high-quality veterinary services for the well-being of humans, animals, and the environment. 'Two figures were honoured with the Outstanding Veterinarian Award at the event, namely Datuk Dr Abd Aziz Jamaluddin in the Veterinary Services category and Prof Emeritus Datin Paduka Setia Datuk Dr Aini Ideris in the Veterinary Education category, in recognition of their collaborative contributions and continued excellence in their respective fields,' KPKM said. Abd Aziz was honoured for his comprehensive efforts in strengthening animal health, food security, and veterinary public health and Aini for her leadership and significant contributions to national veterinary education. Aini also delivered a lecture titled 'Enhancing One Health Strategy to Global Challenges', highlighting the importance of a holistic approach in addressing the interconnected challenges of human, animal, and environmental health. The celebration carried the theme 'Animal Health Takes A Team', underscoring the need for collaboration among veterinarians, industry players, and the community in safeguarding animal health and food safety.
