Lee's Summit police officer left with serious injuries after Sunday night shooting

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. — Police are investigating an overnight shooting where a Lee's Summit police officer was shot multiple times.
The officer is in 'serious condition.'
According to police, around 11 p.m. Sunday, officers were sent to an apartment on Hollywood Drive for a report of a domestic disturbance.

As the first officer arrived on the scene in the apartment complex, and while waiting for his assisting officer, the officer saw a man running from the scene, according to LSPD. The officer chased the suspect and told officers shots had been fired via radio.
LSPD said no shots were fired by the officer, but the officer was struck multiple times. The officer was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are working with area law enforcement partners to track the suspect. Police said they are not sure who the man is.
According to LSPD, there is no danger to the area.

(WKRG) — Mobile Police Department officers have identified the person killed Wednesday in a crash on I-10 near Tillmans Corner. Arrested Mobile County teacher asks for trip to Bahamas Officials said 33-year-old Taylor Goff was killed when the vehicle they were driving left the interstate and hit a tree. Goff was pronounced dead on the scene. Officers responded to the area of I-10 and Highway 90 just after 7:30 a.m. on June 19. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque celebrated Juneteenth at Civic Plaza Saturday. The holiday is this Thursday and honors the day slavery ended in the United States when, in 1865, the slaves in Galveston, Texas, were freed. Saturday's event is called Rooted in Selience: Rising in Unity and features powerful performances and activities, vendors, and all uplifting Black culture.
