Trust opens Ram Darbar for devotees, darshan passes to be issued

Hindustan Times15-06-2025

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has opened the Ram Darbar for devotees on the first floor of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The Trust took the decision on Friday (June 13), eight days after the pran pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Darbar on June 5. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath had presided over the pran pratishtha ceremony.
'The Trust has started offering darshan of Ram Darbar along with Ram Lalla. This new development allows devotees to pay their respects to both Ram Lalla and the Ram Darbar. To manage the large number of devotees, a quota system has been implemented for darshan passes,' a Trust member said.
According to the Trust, 200 passes will be issued – 100 allocated to the district administration and 100 to the Trust.
The Trust also stated that 100 Sugam Darshan (easy access) passes will be issued – 50 allocated to the district administration and 50 to the Trust.
The Ram Darbar darshan will be available in six time slots: 7-9 am, 9-11 am, 1-3 pm, 3-5 pm, 5-7 pm, and 7-9 pm. Each time slot will have 300 devotees.
Devotees need to mention Ram Darbar darshan in their pass application form and the passes will be issued based on availability, the Trust said.
The decision to start Ram Darbar darshan was taken after a meeting between the Trust and officials of the Ayodhya administration.
Trust member Anil Mishra confirmed the decision was made in the evening.
He stated that, similar to the passes offered for Ram Lalla's darshan, passes will also be made available for those wishing to visit the Ram Darbar.
The Ram Darbar consists of the idols of Lord Ram and Mata Sita seated on a throne with Hanuman and Bharat depicted in a prayerful posture at their feet and Lakshman and Shatrughan standing beside them.
Jaipur-based sculptor Satya Narain Pandey and his team have crafted Ram Darbar, which is made of white Makrana marble.
Pandey's idol design had lost out to that of Mysuru-based artist Arun Yograj ahead of the 2024 ceremony.
In January 2024, the Trust selected Arun Yogiraj, the Mysuru-based artist's idol for the pran pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla.
The Ram Lalla idol is made of Krishna shila (black schist) and depicts the deity as a five-year-old boy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presided over pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, at the temple's sanctum- sanctorum on the ground floor.

ED may chargesheet Robert Vadra soon

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is likely to file its final prosecution complaint (equivalent to chargesheet) in three money laundering cases allegedly involving businessman Robert Vadra within the next three months. Following these filings, the federal agency will push for court cognisance to kickstart trials against Vadra and co-accused, people in the know told ET. The ED's investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) will also lead to the confiscation of properties allegedly acquired with illicit funds in these cases. Vadra, also husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi, in April this year was questioned in connection with a money laundering probe related to a land deal in Shikohpur, Haryana. Agency sources confirm his questioning in the Haryana land deal is complete. He has been summoned for questioning in a money laundering case linked to UK-based arms consultant Sanjay Bhandari and will soon face a final round of questioning in the Bikaner land deal case as well, people in the know told ET. Vadra has consistently denied the accusations, labelling them a political witch hunt and accusing the BJP of political vendetta. Live Events Haryana Land Deal The Haryana land deal case dates back to a 2018 FIR against then-Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Vadra, and real estate firms DLF and Onkareshwar Properties. It's alleged that in February 2008, Vadra's Skylight Hospitality, launched with ₹1 lakh capital, purchased 3.5 acres in Manesar-Shikohpur for ₹7.5 crore. The land's title was reportedly transferred to Vadra within 24 hours. A month later, the Hooda-led Haryana government allegedly permitted Skylight Hospitality to develop a housing project, significantly increasing the land's value. In June 2008, DLF reportedly agreed to buy the plot for ₹58 crore, allegedly resulting in substantial gains for Vadra. Bikaner Land Deal In the Bikaner land deal, Vadra is accused of making a 615% profit by purchasing 275 bighas for ₹72 lakh and selling it for a significantly higher amount. The ED questioned Vadra and his mother about this probe in 2019. An ET report from January 2020 indicated that the ED concluded Vadra and his company, M/s Skylight Hospitality, did not conduct proper due diligence in purchasing two land parcels in Bikaner, and cheques were issued to 'land owners' solely at the 'behest of' a company's representative. Sanjay Bhandari Link The third case is linked to alleged arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari. The ED's 2023 chargesheet claims Bhandari acquired a London property at 12 Bryanston Square in 2009 and renovated it "as per the directions of Robert Vadra, who provided the funds for the renovation." Vadra has denied any direct or indirect ownership of London property.

Op Sindhu: 90 stranded Indians to arrive in Prayagraj today

Prayagraj: Around 90 people from Sangam City and nearby areas, including 20 members of a Dariyabad-based family, are expected to arrive in Prayagraj on Monday after being safely evacuated from Iran under Operation Sindhu. The group was previously stranded due to airspace restrictions. So far, over 1,400 Indian nationals have returned home from Iran under Operation Sindhu, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Sunday. The first batch of 110 Indian nationals evacuated from Iran arrived in India on Thursday, with many evacuees sharing first-hand accounts of the frightening situation they witnessed before being moved to safer locations. India had announced the launch of Operation Sindhu on Wednesday to bring back its nationals from Iran and Israel in view of the precarious security situation arising out of Iran-Israel hostilities. Breathing a sigh of relief, the Dariyabad family — whose 20 members were stranded in various cities across Iran for over 10 days — expressed its gratitude and shared that the Indian embassy officials have made comprehensive arrangements for their safe return. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Eat 1 Teaspoon Every Night, See What Happens A Week Later! [Video] getfittoday Undo Sameer Naqvi, a Dariyabad resident, shared the news that his mother and 19 other close relatives, who were stranded in Iran due to the ongoing conflict, are set to return home safely. After speaking with his family on Sunday, Naqvi confirmed that the Indian government and embassy officials have made arrangements for their safe return. Sameer said, "About 90 people from the city and adjoining regions, who were trapped in Iran for the past 10 days, are likely to reach New Delhi late Sundayor Monday morning, and they would then reach Prayagraj." Sameer expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Modi government for its tireless efforts to evacuate Indian citizens from war-torn Iran amid escalating tensions with Israel. He specifically thanked the embassy officials for their exceptional care and support. A 20-member Dariyabad-based family, including elderly individuals and two children, embarked on a pilgrimage to Iran on May 20. Their planned return date was June 13. However, due to the sudden escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran, their travel plans were severely disrupted. "All the families, whose members were stranded in Iran on their pilgrimage, are thankful to the Modi govt and embassy officials for taking better care of them in this time of crisis," said another family member, adding, "Embassy officials are constantly connecting with family members until their safe return is ensured." In a special gesture on June 20, Iran has lifted airspace restrictions for three charter flights to evacuate about 1,000 Indian nationals, mostly students, from the Iranian city of Mashad. Mohammad Javad Hosseini, the deputy chief of mission at the Iranian embassy, said more evacuation flights could be operated in the coming days to bring back Indians if required.
