Jaipur entrepreneur roasted for mocking doctor over ₹1300 ear wax removal: ‘Next time use traditional cleaner'
A Jaipur-based entrepreneur found himself at the receiving end of sharp criticism online after a post he shared mocking an ENT doctor's consultation fee went viral. Rishabh Jain had posted a photo of his daughter holding a small piece of cotton following a routine ear wax removal appointment. The caption read: 'ENT doctor removed my kid's ear wax in 30 secs, charged whooping ₹1300, that too after a 'discount'. No wonder her clinic was emptier than Ritvi's ear.' (Also read: Indian doctor compares livers of 'weekend only drink' man and his healthy wife: 'Alcohol is a poison') The seemingly sarcastic comment sparked a strong reaction on X, with Jain's post garnering over 1.5 million views and more than 2,500 comments—most of them criticising his attitude towards healthcare professionals. Check out the post here: Dr Cyriac Abby Philips, a renowned medical professional known online as The Liver Doc, responded bluntly: 'Next time you can use a traditional ear wax cleaner. You'll find them across the street. And not waste any money. Hope this helps.' The backlash quickly snowballed with several users pointing out the lack of understanding and respect for medical services. One user wrote, 'You are not paying for 30 seconds. You are paying for the skill to do it in 30 seconds. If you have a problem with cost, try doing it free yourself.' Another sharply remarked, 'There are people who sit on the road and do it for INR 50. Next time you should visit them. I would say the doctor has undercharged.' Others expressed concern over Jain publicly posting his daughter's image in such a context. 'Please delete this tweet which is exposing your child on this not so safe place. She deserves her privacy,' a user warned. (Also read: Liver Doc slams billionaire Nikhil Kamath for viral podcast on liquor industry: 'Alcohol is good business') Further criticism targeted Jain's approach as unprofessional and disrespectful. 'Such an attitude towards professional services is alarming. ENT specialists spend 10+ years studying before practising. The total time spent is: years of studying + years of practice + 30 seconds,' one user explained.

Uttarakhand helicopter crash: Jaipur-based pilot to be identified through DNA testing
Jaipur: The body of Jaipur-based pilot Rajveer Singh Chauhan (37) who tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in Uttarakhand on June 15 will be handed over to his family only after identification through the process of DNA testing, an official said on Monday. His elder brother, Chandraveer Singh Chauhan, has reached Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand to claim the body and is accompanied by other family members. Following this, the family will decide on the location for the last rites. Although originally from Dausa, the family has been residing in Jaipur's Shastri Nagar for several years. Rajveer's father, Govind Singh, expressed the family's deep grief, saying: 'We are shattered. It's as if lightning has struck us. We can only say more once our elder son Chandraveer returns with the body.' A retired Lt Colonel, Rajveer was flying for Aryan Aviation Private Limited for the last nine months. On Sunday, at around 5:20 a.m., he sent his final message to the control room shortly before the chopper crashed in the forest area of Gaurikund. The accident claimed the lives of all seven people onboard. Rajveer served in the Indian Army for nearly 14 years. His wife, Deepika Chauhan, is also a Lt Colonel. The couple recently became parents to twin sons, born just four months ago, after 14 years of marriage. Rajveer's father, a retired BSNL employee, shared that the family had been preparing for the Jalwa Poojan (a traditional ceremony) for the newborns. Instead, they are now faced with an unimaginable tragedy. A wave of grief has engulfed the home of Rajveer Singh Chauhan, in Shastri Nagar, Jaipur. Just 15 days before a scheduled celebration to mark the birth of his twin sons, the Chauhan family is now mourning an irreplaceable loss. A constant stream of relatives, friends, and neighbours have been visiting his residence offering condolences. The atmosphere is heavy with disbelief, and the family is still struggling to accept that Rajveer Singh is no longer with them. Govind Singh Chauhan, recounted the heartbreaking moment when he was informed of the crash. 'Rajveer's colleague, Captain V.K. Singh, called me around 7.45 a.m. and informed me about the helicopter accident.' He said: 'Rajveer's last message from the cockpit was, 'I am taking a left turn for landing'. Moments later, the crash occurred.' Rajveer Singh got married in 2011, and after 14 years of marriage, his wife gave birth to twin sons just four months ago. To celebrate this long-awaited joy, the family had planned a grand ceremony on June 30. 'We had booked the venue, finalised the guest list; Rajveer was supposed to come home on June 25 on leave. The entire family was busy preparing for the celebration,' said his father. He further added that although Rajveer Singh had joined Aryan Aviation after retirement, he had taken a break during his wife's delivery and had resumed flying only a month and a half ago. When the news of the crash came in, Govind Singh had to muster great strength to break it to Rajveer's wife. What was meant to be a moment of celebration for the Chauhan family has turned into one of unbearable sorrow. A promising life cut short, a family shattered, and twin sons who will never know their father — the tragedy has left a lasting mark on Jaipur and beyond, said his family members.

Trust opens Ram Darbar for devotees, darshan passes to be issued
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has opened the Ram Darbar for devotees on the first floor of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Trust took the decision on Friday (June 13), eight days after the pran pratishtha (consecration) of the Ram Darbar on June 5. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath had presided over the pran pratishtha ceremony. 'The Trust has started offering darshan of Ram Darbar along with Ram Lalla. This new development allows devotees to pay their respects to both Ram Lalla and the Ram Darbar. To manage the large number of devotees, a quota system has been implemented for darshan passes,' a Trust member said. According to the Trust, 200 passes will be issued – 100 allocated to the district administration and 100 to the Trust. The Trust also stated that 100 Sugam Darshan (easy access) passes will be issued – 50 allocated to the district administration and 50 to the Trust. The Ram Darbar darshan will be available in six time slots: 7-9 am, 9-11 am, 1-3 pm, 3-5 pm, 5-7 pm, and 7-9 pm. Each time slot will have 300 devotees. Devotees need to mention Ram Darbar darshan in their pass application form and the passes will be issued based on availability, the Trust said. The decision to start Ram Darbar darshan was taken after a meeting between the Trust and officials of the Ayodhya administration. Trust member Anil Mishra confirmed the decision was made in the evening. He stated that, similar to the passes offered for Ram Lalla's darshan, passes will also be made available for those wishing to visit the Ram Darbar. The Ram Darbar consists of the idols of Lord Ram and Mata Sita seated on a throne with Hanuman and Bharat depicted in a prayerful posture at their feet and Lakshman and Shatrughan standing beside them. Jaipur-based sculptor Satya Narain Pandey and his team have crafted Ram Darbar, which is made of white Makrana marble. Pandey's idol design had lost out to that of Mysuru-based artist Arun Yograj ahead of the 2024 ceremony. In January 2024, the Trust selected Arun Yogiraj, the Mysuru-based artist's idol for the pran pratishtha ceremony of Ram Lalla. The Ram Lalla idol is made of Krishna shila (black schist) and depicts the deity as a five-year-old boy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presided over pran pratishtha of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024, at the temple's sanctum- sanctorum on the ground floor.
