The Indiana Fever wrapped up their Eastern Conference Commissioner's Cup pool play with a gritty 88-71 home victory over the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The match included some heated moments when old rivalry between Jacy Sheldon and Caitlin Clark surfaced, leading to multiple physical altercations. However, it ultimately ended in Indiana's favor.
With that victory, the Fever clinched a spot at the Commissioner's Cup final on July 1 and will play against the top team from the Western Conference.
"heading to the Commissioner's Cup Championship Game‼️" They posted.
This was possible because of Atlanta Dream's loss to the New York Liberty at the same time. Atlanta was leading heading into the fourth quarter, but in the end lost that lead to some re-energized play from Jonquel Jones and Breanna Stewart.

"Obviously we're excited, that's a big deal and New York helped us out a little bit to get there…why wouldn't we celebrate that, we're playing for a pool of money…and it's an extra game for us to get better." Clark said post-game.

On the West side, the Minnesota Lynx won 62-76 against the Las Vegas Aces to secure the other spot.
The top performer from the game was none other than Caitlin Clark. She bagged 20 points in the 29 minutes she played with one rebound, six assists and two steals. Natasha Howard shined as well with her double-double. She posted 16 points and 12 rebounds to end the night.
On the other side, the best player was Tina Charles with 20 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block. Marina Mabrey was viral for the wrong reason tonight. She tallied eight rebounds in the game, but went viral because of her shove that planted Clark on the ground. She and Clark both received a technical for that.

Basketball Fans Saddened By Rachel DeMita Career Announcement

Basketball Fans Saddened By Rachel DeMita Career Announcement originally appeared on The Spun. Fans of basketball influencer Rachel DeMita received unfortunate news this Friday. DeMita, 35, became quite popular in the 2010s as the host of NBA 2KTV. That led to her building out a massive following on X, Instagram and YouTube. In June 2024, the BIG3 hired her to be a courtside commentator providing behind-the-scenes content. Advertisement "It's a little different than your traditional sideline reporter," DeMita said after being hired. "We're also going to make sure that there's a fun spin to it. I also do a lot of content on social media and with the media landscape changing as much as it has over the past few years, just knowing what the basketball audience and the BIG3 audience wants to see and what's going to excite them. What are some of the little questions that we can ask? What behind the scenes content can we give them that's interesting to them, gets them more invested in the players and coaches and the culture of the league?" Unfortunately for the former Old Dominion hooper, she won't be working with the BIG3 any longer. On Friday afternoon, Front Office Sports reported that DeMita is no longer with the popular 3-on-3 basketball league According to Front Office Sports, the 'final straw' was that she tweeted Caitlin Clark highlights during a BIG3 game she was working at. (Photo byfor Sports Spectacular) Though it's not a huge surprise, basketball fans are furious with the BIG3's decision. Advertisement "Higher morals than ESPN with their lead analyst playing solitaire during the NBA FINALS," one fan commented. "And just like that the Big3 loses all of its few actual viewers," a second fan said. "Multitasking is no longer a required skill out here huh," a BIG3 fan wrote. "But Stephen A. Smith can play solitaire and then shit on players he wasn't even watching. What a joke," another fan commented. "What a mistake by the BIG3," a social media user declared. DeMita has not yet commented on her fallout with the BIG3. She did, however, post a lot of WNBA content on social media Thursday night. Advertisement BIG3 has not named a replacement for DeMita. How to watch Fever at Aces: Caitlin Clark, Indiana face big test in Las Vegas

Sunday's WNBA slate promises one of the most intriguing matchups of the season. The Indiana Fever, led by second-year phenom Caitlin Clark, will take on A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces, winners of two of the last three WNBA championships. Las Vegas swept the four-game season series in 2024, but the circumstances couldn't be any more different as these squads head for their first highly anticipated showdown of the 2025 campaign. Get tickets on StubHub. With a rebuilt roster and a new head coach on the sidelines, the Fever appear to be a legitimate title contender. Despite a 6-6 record (4-3 when Clark plays), Indiana has the third-best odds to win the WNBA Finals on BetMGM — trailing only the reigning champions, the New York Liberty, and last year's runner-up, the Minnesota Lynx. Clark has followed up her historic rookie season by averaging 19.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 35.5 percent from 3-point range. She's already recorded a triple-double and dropped 32 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in her return from a hamstring injury to knock off the Liberty, handing the defending champs their first loss of the season following a 9-0 start. Advertisement The Fever are still putting the pieces together, but they've already clinched a spot in the 2025 Commissioner's Cup final, which has regularly been a predictor of postseason success. In 2023 and 2024, the teams that made the Cup final also went on to meet in the WNBA Finals. On the other hand, the Aces (5-7) have gotten off to their worst start since Wilson's rookie season in 2018. Wilson missed a few games due to concussion protocol, but the issues run deeper. Once virtually unbeatable, Las Vegas now ranks in the bottom half of the league in offensive and defensive rating and has already endured multiple 20-point losses. Six-time All-Star Jewell Loyd (11.5 points per game) has also struggled to get acclimated. Even still, Wilson has played transcendent basketball. The three-time MVP and two-time Defensive Player of the Year leads the Aces in points, rebounds, blocks steals per game, highlighting her immense importance to this team. Wilson, who sustained a concussion against the Los Angeles Sparks on June 11, returned to the lineup in Friday's loss to the Seattle Storm. She put up 20 points and a team-high 14 rebounds. Caitlin Clark delivered a classy reaction to latest WNBA All-Star news

Caitlin on leading all star voting'That's not why you play…but it is cool and also it's cool for me to see how much love my teammates also got. I think had 4 in the top 10. Whether who ends up being an all star or not, it's still cool to see the love you get from the fans.' Caitlin Clark didn't totally dismiss the fact that she's currently the leading vote-getter at the moment for the 2025 WNBA All-Star game -- at first count, she's at nearly 516,000 votes, with Napheesa Collier behind at 484,758. When asked about the honor on Saturday, the Indiana Fever star kept it classy while also acknowledging how awesome it is for her to see her name at the top of that list. MORE WNBA: Warriors player savagely taunted Caitlin Clark 'It is what it is," she said with a smile. "People get so hyped up over that, but that's not why you play the game. I think it's a fun way to get fans involved and really passionate." Then, she added this: "But it is cool, and also it's cool for me to see how much love my teammates also got. I think we had four in the top 10, so whether who ends up being an All-Star or not, it's still cool to see the type love you get from the fans.' That's the way you keep it classy -- appreciating the fans, acknowledging teammates and so on -- while also being wowed by it. We'll see if this keeps up as she continues her second WNBA season, one in which her numbers are pretty identical to last year's output -- she's averaging 19.9/5.7/8.7 and over a steal a game while shooting 41.7 percent from the field (same as last season) and 35.5 from beyond the arc.
