Trio held for drugs in Lahad Datu

LAHAD DATU: Three men were detained in three separate arrests for their involvement in drug-related activities on Monday. District Acting Police Chief, Supt Jimmy Panyau, said the trio were detained by the Narcotic Crime Investigation Division (BSJND) during the 'Ops Tapis'. He said the first suspect was detained in an operation at Kampung Panji. The Filipino man was arrested by the road side after police found 0.13 grammes of syabu in his possession. The suspect who did not have any identification document was detained for investigation under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. 'The second arrest involved a 44-year-old local man who was detained near the first location. When inspected, the police found a folded red paper containing 0.26 grammes of syabu. 'The suspect also tested positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. He also had three previous criminal records,' he said, adding that the case would be investigated under Section 12(2) and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. The third suspect, a 22-year-old man was detained at the BSJND office. The suspect tested positive for taking Amphetamine and Methamphetamine. Investigation is conducted under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act 1952. Autistic child missing near river in Kinabatangan

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Chief Hairi Utoh said an emergency call was received at 5.14pm, prompting immediate deployment of personnel to the scene. The child, identified as Mohammad Aqeef Al Tarmiezy Arman, was last seen around 2pm before villagers began searching until 6pm without success. Taiwanese model dies after receiving ‘milk injection' for insomnia

The 30-something model, known for her resemblance to actress Lin Chi-ling, underwent the procedure known as a 'milk injection' at Fairy Clinic on May 25. The anaesthetic was administered by Wu Shaohu, the clinic's director and a well-known cosmetic surgeon dubbed Taiwan's 'Godfather of Liposuction.'
