Mexican wrestling sensation Mr. Iguana might be the latest name to shake up the WWE landscape after his recent crowd-popping appearances at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide and Money in the Bank 2025.
According to backstage reports, the colourful luchador has not only caught the attention of fans, but also WWE officials who are now reportedly working on ways to integrate him further into the company's programming - possibly through NXT.
Known for his flamboyant personality, playful in-ring antics, and his signature iguana puppet, Mr. Iguana made his WWE debut at the cross-promotional Worlds Collide event, teaming up with Aero Star and Octagon Jr.
The audience reception was nothing short of electric. So much so, WWE quickly brought him to Money in the Bank, where he was spotted in the crowd and received one of the loudest reactions of the night.
Sources from Fightful Select report that WWE higher-ups were 'pleasantly surprised' by Iguana's appeal, with one NXT insider calling his debut 'an unexpected win.' His energy, combined with a fan-friendly presence backstage, made him a popular figure among WWE Superstars too.

Wrestlers reportedly queued up for pictures with the AAA star, and he was described as 'a pleasure to work with.'
Merchandising moves already in motion
It isn't just in-ring appearances that WWE is eyeing. The company is also said to be exploring merchandising opportunities involving the reptilian-themed performer. Sales of Mr. Iguana merchandise - including newly released T-shirts, have reportedly been strong, performing nearly as well as the trending R-Truth apparel during the weekend of Money in the Bank.
Discussions are now underway to launch more unique items, including a line of Mr. Iguana puppets aimed at younger audiences. Triple H himself hinted at the marketing potential during the post-show press conference, saying, 'I never knew iguanas were so much fun… I think kids are gonna want iguanas everywhere.'
A return may be sooner than expected
Following his viral WWE debut and crowd cameo at Money in the Bank, Mr. Iguana may not be away from the spotlight for long.
WWE is reportedly exploring ways to integrate the AAA star into NXT programming, with discussions already underway for future appearances.
His mix of charisma, comedy, and crowd connection makes him a strong fit for WWE's international strategy - especially as NXT continues expanding its global talent base. Iguana's popularity backstage and online has only strengthened the case for more involvement.
The luchador himself teased a return on social media, thanking fans and hinting that 'this is just the beginning.' If the buzz continues, WWE could look to feature him not just as a novelty act, but as a regular, family-friendly presence in upcoming shows.
Triple H summed it up best: 'Iguanas might just be the next big thing.'

Ronda Rousey (Image via WWE) Ronda Rousey has been missing from WWE for months, and fans can not help but wonder, will she ever come back? Known for her fierce presence in both UFC and WWE, Rousey was a star to step into a wrestling ring. But after her last match, she quietly took a backstep, leaving fans guessing about her future . Now, after finally speaking up in a podcast, it seems her life has taken a new direction, one that has nothing to do with the ring. Many people thought that with WWE's leadership changing, Ronda might return. Triple H and Nick Khan have taken over from Vince McMahon , and the company now has a different energy. Still, her recent words suggest she is not thinking about wrestling at all right now. Ronda Rousey speaks her truth about life now On the UNTAPPED podcast, Ronda Rousey gave fans a rare look into her life today. She did not talk about championship dreams or future matches. Instead, she shared something much more personal, her journey through motherhood and what it's like to find herself again after becoming a mom. 'I am, like, deep in mom mode. I am not in the studio, you know. I'm working out in my garage, and I'm just trying to reclaim my body from motherhood.' She went deeper into how that change has affected her: 'I'm just, you know, just trying to reclaim myself from—you know—this amazing thing that women's bodies are designed to do. But it really does just like take you over entirely… you're left with what's left over, you're like, 'Oh my god, will I ever be the same again?' Or… the answer is no. But you could—you could be a new something.' Ronda Rousey On What Made Her UNSTOPPABLE, Dana White & Why I Retired Her words felt honest and emotional.
