'The Club wishes him the best of luck in the future, both personally and professionally.'
Garrido, 21, joined the club back in 2012, at the Benjamin C level and rose through the ranks at La Masia, going on to become the Barça Atletic captain this season.
The midfielder even made his first-team debut for the Blaugrana during the 2022/23 season under former manager Xavi Hernandez against Elche in La Liga – his only senior appearance.
Having missed a good chunk of the season due to injury, Garrido did establish himself as a regular in the team after returning but could not stop Barça Atletic from getting relegated.
Now, with his contract expiring on June 30, the 21-year-old has opted to move on from Barcelona and embark on a new journey, with Eibar understood to be his next club.

Barcelona present new signing Joan Garcia: First words and images
On Friday, Barcelona presented Joan Garcia as their first signing of the summer. The Blaugrana activated his €25m release clause last week, and on Wednesday, Barcelona announced Garcia as their first signing of the summer. Now former club Espanyol also announced the deal, with a cold one-line statement. Many Pericos feel that they have been betrayed by Garcia, who came through the club's academy. Garcia released a statement bidding farewell to Espanyol, but did not ask for understanding, calling it a decision that took into account the best for the club, his career and his family. Joan Garcia aiming for plenty of victories Garcia will certainly be set for a hostile welcome at the RCDE Stadium on his next visit. In stark contrast to his reception at Camp Nou. He told the media he was happy to be at Barcelona. Advertisement 'I'm very happy; I've been looking forward to this day. Now I have to keep growing as a goalkeeper, win a lot, and achieve great things, which is why I came here. When there's such a young team with such good players, it's exciting. I know many of them and I'm eager to get started.' 'I define myself as a brave goalkeeper' – Joan Garcia Image via FC Barcelona Garcia will be competing with Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the number one spot, the current captain. Although numerous reports say that Garcia has been promised a starting role under Hansi Flick. 'I define myself as a brave goalkeeper, who likes to help the team, quick in goal, with reflexes, and who tries to contribute in the air.' He was excited to get started, with Barcelona returning to their home at Camp Nou in September. 'I've seen the model of the Spotify Camp Nou and it's impressive. I'm really looking forward to play in it for the first time. I'm sure you'll see a lot of victories.'

Barcelona one step away from 1:1 spending rule
Barcelona President Joan Laporta and La Liga President Javier Tebas contradicted each other less than 24 hours apart this week. The former declared that the Blaugrana were back within their salary limit, while the latter said that it was not the case. It is not the first time the pair are at odds, nor will it be the last. There is plenty of uncertainty over Barcelona's financial position, and their proximity to being within their salary limit. The aim is to be back within the so-called 1:1 spending rule; clubs over their salary limit are only permitted to use 60% of the money they bring in or save to spend on registering new players. Barcelona convinced about salary limit status According to MD, Barcelona are convinced that they will be back within their salary limit. Their belief is that they are just one step away from that being the case. After auditors Crowe refused to accept their €100m VIP seats lease in March, it directly affected the accounts they were able to submit to La Liga. Photo by La Liga Advertisement The Catalan giants believe that after construction group Limak certified that the VIP seats had been delivered to Barelona, Crowe will now accept the €100m deal, and include it in their accounts – previously Crowe submitted that the product did not exist. The green light from the auditor is the only thing missing. Doubts about latest asset sale at Barcelona The deal has been questioned since it was first announced. Neither of the two companies purchasing the seats were in existence at the turn of the decade, and both have links to Barcelona indirectly. La Liga have voiced suspicion about the deals, and there has also been some suggestion that Crowe or La Liga may divide the €100m income across the 30 years of the deal. So far, Barcelona appear to be in the clear though, and a definitive call on the salary limit will come before July.

Norway international Ingrid Engen joins Lyon from Barcelona
OL Lyonnes have completed the signing of Ingrid Engen following her Barcelona departure. Engen, 27, has signed a two-year contract with the French champions that runs until 2027. Barcelona confirmed on June 11 that the versatile Norway international would be leaving the club after four years, during which she won 13 trophies with the Catalans. Advertisement 'The club is pleased to be able to rely on Ingrid Engen's experience and qualities for the next two seasons, and is pleased to have convinced her to commit to the Lyonnes project,' a club statement read. Engen becomes Lyon's latest signing in a busy summer, with France striker Marie-Antoinette Katoto also joining this month, while The Athletic reported on June 12 that Lyon had expressed serious interest in 18-year-old Ajax and U.S. women's national team midfielder Lily Yohannes. Midfielder Danielle van de Donk, meanwhile, has moved to London City Lionesses, who are also owned by Michele Kang. Earlier this month, the record eight-time Champions League winners appointed Jonathan Giraldez as their new head coach following the departure of Joe Montemurro. Engen joined Barcelona from Wolfsburg in 2021 and won two Champions League titles and Liga F on four occasions during her time in Spain. Capable of playing in defence and midfielder, she made 152 appearances for Barca and featured 35 times across Liga F and the Champions League last season. She was introduced as a second-half substitute during their Champions League final loss to Arsenal. Engen has been capped 83 times by Norway and has been named in their 2025 European Championship squad.
